FOLLOWING THE PROMPTS TO CONNECT THE SUB:

  1. Add Sub - (it also request to connect to Sonos… which automatically removes the App from the normal WiFi to the Sonos… connection)
  2. Press the Flashing Button on the Side of the Sub
  3. Pressing the Button does nothing… (tried long-pressing, as well - nothing happens)

There months ago, someone posted the same issue without a resolution and the tread now has this message:

“This topic has been closed for further comments. You can use the search bar to find a similar topic, or create a new one by clicking Create Topic at the top of the page.”

Sonos - this issue is not fixed. Do not close it for further comments - we need to be able to utilise the products that we bought.

  1. What are you adding the Sub to?
  2. If its a soundbar, do you have surrounds already paired?
  3. If surrounds are already paired, remove them and try to add the Sub again before you add the surrounds back
  4. If that does not work, hardwire the Sub to your router temporarily to get it setup. You can disconnect it once the setup process is done.

I am attempting to add the Sub to a Beam Bar amongst other Speakers. Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried all of the above with no success, over the last few months - since the App update.

Since the update, I only had two speakers work:

  1. Beam Bar connected to the TV upstairs
  2. Sonos One speaker downstairs

    MISSING WERE:
  3. Two Sonos One speakers - Bedroom
  4. Beam Bar connected to the TV - Bedroom

Yesterday, I read and found out about Factory Resetting Sonos One and Beam Bar Speakers, as well (had done this several times before for the Sub but not the other speakers)… and after Resetting, now I have all Speakers Re-Connected, to the way they were, before the update - but not the Sub.

SUB, still starts to Flash during the set up, and when it says to “Press” the side button to connect, nothing happens - as experienced by many others, over the last few months.

(SEPARATE NOTE: the updated App still has many delays / issues with Volume - song choices - speaker zone choices etc. etc.)

Time to get things right SONOS. You have an amazing product that used to work beautifully and have set it majorly backwards with an update that doesn’t work and nothing is being done about it.

So… is there a solution to the Sub button light flashing (as it’s supposed to) when we’re re-adding the Sub to the system - but nothing happens when the button is pressed?
