Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

So it’s obvious that Sonos Executives are ignoring the torrents of criticism about the new app, so I want to move forward, and ask if…has anyone found an alternative app that can be used with Sonos equipment? There is no question that the executive know users are currently tied to their Sonos hardware, but there already must be people looking for alternatives to the audio world’s “ New Coke” is anyone currently developing an alternative app that I can sign up for as a Beta tester?   has anyone managed to work out any means of rolling back to the “ old version”? If so, please share details. Again it goes without saying, that if the Sonos executive p/CEO were serious about listening to their user base, they would provide a rollback option, and see how many took it up. I am looking to know what is the best way to stream Tidal.  My setup is Sonos Port connected to Marantz amp via coaxial, and Google Pixel 8a.  The Port and Pixel are both on the same WiFi.  I have 3 options to stream Tidal.Open the Sonos App then select Tidal.  If I use this option the quality level of what is being played does not appear.  Also once the stream is started I can turn off my phone and the stream will continue.  This tells me that the Port is connected directly to Tidal. Open the Tidal App, start playing then select Port as the playback device.  This method does show me the stream quality but if I close the Tidal app on the phone the music stops.  It seems that the phone is connected to Tidal then passing it on to Port.  Not sure if the phone can pass the full quality of the stream as option 1 can.Any thoughts on this to backup my thoughts would be appreciated.Another option I have but have not tested is to use HEOS tha

Our Sonos system and app frequently fails to work in our house. We have excellent WiFi so that is not the issue. It is very frustrating.

There is a weird behavior between my devices.I have a LG OLED65CXAUA tv and a PS5.  They have worked great together for a while.  In the last year I added a Sonos Beam to the tv - it works great for the TV and the PS5, the sound is wonderful. But weirdly, since I added the Sonos Beam, the PS5 will randomly wake up from sleep mode and the TV switches from whatever I was watching to the PS5.  I can switch it back but it is annoying.To be clear on the set up: the Beam and the PS5 are both plugged into the TV.  Any clue on how to stop this? 

Before the app update, I was able to cast Tidal to my Sonos system. I mainly went to all tracks and played on shuffle.But since the update, they no longer play nicely together. They don't even work individually. Both Tidal and Sonos have suffered.I can see the Sonos speakers when go to cast music from Tidal but it only connects for a brief second. Can't be the Tidal app as it can cast to my Chromecast.That's a big problem as the Tidal controls in the new Sonos app lack key functions the old app had- In Tracks, I can no longer play more than one at time. I have to manually add them one by one to the queue or to a playlist. I lost the ability to shuffle all tracks and play which I used ALL THE TIME.- I can no longer add or delete songs to playlists in Tidal from the Sonos app (which is necessary since I can no longer cast from Tidal).- I've also been having issues with Sonos speakers dropping the internet connection that I never used to have 

I brought my Era 100 to Italy and it worked fine until the ridiculously poor update from Sonos. It doesn't work since the latest software update for which the CEO of the company apologized. What gives? I can connect to the Era 100, but when I select music from Apple Music, it just spins and never stops. The same thing occurred in the U.S. after the software update and them it was corrected. What can I do?

My tv is connected to my sonos playbar. Its working well.I have the soundlevel set to 70 as I Can manage the soundlevel when watching tv using the remotecontroller.so far so good.when using the playbar connected to Spotify, I turn the soundlevel to a much lower level .when I have switched off Spotify and subsequently want to watch TV, the sound level can only be turned up to the low level at which I listened to Music. cannot therefore be optimized for the sound limit Set for the soundbar in the Sonos app.is there any solution to that problem

Two negative points : - The leather like material is too warm wearing … really not so pleasant wearing it - Two Sonos Ace can not listen together to a movie, I suggest for next buyer to wait this is  just a no go until this feature exists Otherwise  it is fun using it and a nice add on to Sonos movie bar … the idea is great the conception not yet, the high-end look and fealing is enjoyable except theis annoying warm ear sensation when using it 

Hi, I have an existing small multi room setup.I have a Brennan B2 which speaks to Sonos. Sonos system is a portable roam in one room, and a Sonos one in another.I have a bang Olufsen system in another room. I would like the B&o system to appear on the Sonos system so I can send music to it in the same way I can imagine the other rooms.Is this possible? Many thanks.

Since downloading the new app in May, I can no longer listen to a music source through AirPlay in different rooms using a mixture of Sonos airplay and non-AirPlay enabled speakers.  For background:I can still group all my speakers, new and old a listen to music direct from the Sonos app. But if I want to listen to an external source (eg BBC Sounds), I used to AirPlay from the BBC Sounds app to my Sonos Playbase and then group the Playbase to two other older Sonos Play: 1s.  I could then listen to the BBC app on all three speakers. If I try to do this now, the audio only plays on the Playbase.  Even though the three speakers still show as grouped (yellow ticks) on the app only the Playbase has the moving audio bars icon. I can still group the speakers and listen to airplay through the group if I use the Sonos app on my PC which I haven’t updated so I know it’s the new app and not a problem with my setup. Hi everybody. Someone offered me a sonos connect yesterday, that he never used. So as it is an old model, i’ve install the S1 apk, made some test and it was working pretty well exept the fact that i couldn’t play an entire folder of music stored on my music server. Then a message appear telling me that i could go for S2 version. So i made the upgrade and download the S2 apk. Only sonos radio appears, no way to make visible my media server, no way to see songs stored on my android device. So i decided to roll back to S1, but every time it fails downgrading. I have reset the connect, the light flash green, i enter the S2 apk and start the downgrade process. It detect my connect and tell me that my connect is ready to be downgraded. I hit the “downgrade button” and a second after, i’ve got a message. An error occured. I really don’t know what to do. HELP pleeeeeaaaaaase !!!!!!

Those Android users unfortunate enough to have installed the v16.3 firmware released on 17 July may have encountered a nasty bug that crashes the app over and over. Sonos Radio and TuneIn doesn’t work after the “May update”. I have to Reauthorize both but with TuneIn I get an error and with Sonos Radio a timeout…I have installed the old app and with the old app radios are working fine, “updated” again the app and radio doesn’t work.Anyone could Reauthorize Sonos Radio or TuneIn with the new app?

When asked to play the radio I get no response from my Sonos one (gen2). When I ask Spotify to play music I get "sorry that device is off line". I have currently have the Sonos one hardwired to the hub as wifi also now not working. Tried so many things and going around in circles..😬

I’m trying to reset my Sonos play 1 speakers after updating the app. The speakers stopped working the other day and the system disappeared and I was told by the app that I needed to update the app. After updating the app it said it found no system. So I’m trying to connect my speakers again, and resetting them appears to be the only option since the app update doesn’t see any system. After unplugging the speakers, holding the play button down and replugging it in until the light blinks orange. After that, nothing else happens. It never switches to green even after waiting 10 minutes.  I’ve unplugged it and now it just blinks white.   how do I get the system to work again? 

I can't access to sonos system eq through app. It keeps asking me to sign out and sign in, which i did and keeps on repeating same pop up msg. Need help...

I can’t be the only one with this issue.  I have had BEAM + ONE + ONE as my living room setup.  MOVE is in the Bedroom.  Was so happy with this setup.  Never an issue with the SONOs app playing music.  Never an issue with Apple AirPlay playing music or Podcasts.  Mutli room worked awesome.   I added two ERA 100 to my setup as a new room.  Setup as left and right…Very basic and simple.  Ever since I added those two speaker, I have had nothing but issues.  I was told that sonos support acknowledges a bug with airplay and lossless.  One speaker would cut out or both would drop for no reason.  They are still seen on the network, they just stop playing music.  These two speakers are the closest to the router, so it’s not a distance issue.  Not using any voice commands.  I’m relegated to use the sonos app to play multiroom and that sucks ass as well.  I’m lucky to make it through two songs in a playlist without the one or both Era dropping.  I have to go

I have a pair of Play 1s in the office and Apple Music plays fine through those either direct or via Alexa. But I have the same set up in the kitchen and Apple Music only plays through one speaker. I can see no difference in the Sonos app, but Alexa sees Office and Office Sonos, whereas it only sees Kitchen, no Kitchen Sonos. Alexa has created Office Sonos. Any idea what’s going on?

I have a queue containing only elements from the Pocket Casts service.That queue is not displayed in the new android app controller.It is displayed in the windows, the webapp, and the old android app controllers.That bug is here since the new app has been released.I didn't care until yesterday because I was still using the old app but I was foolish enough to trust sonos and update my system… 🤦🤦🤦    

I cannot get my Sonos Amp to play audio from Insignia Firestick TV. I wont go in to specifics regarding prior configuration as needs have changed (major difference is, I only need to transmit audio from TV to Sonos Amp) but know that the prior system worked as needed using same cables. I now have a Insignia Firestick TV connected to RCA Audio Balun connected to ~50 ft of ethernet (I dont know if CAT 5 or CAT 6 but it did work in prior set up) back to audio balun into new Sonos Amp.Note, I can play music through speakers via the Sonos amp just fine. Which tells me the issue lies from the TV to the Sonos Amp. Again, prior wired connection worked just fine. I have tried every TV audio setting/configuration. I am considering returning audio balen (as well as a Sewell Sound Link Audio device that I tried) and will try a 50 ft HDMI but that is not preferred as that requires more drilling and labor (when I dont believe that is necessary as again, it worked on an older TV and Sonos de

So I have an existing system of two Sonos Eras 100’s and one Play:1. I recently made the plunge and decided to buy the Arc for my TV. Easy install: as soon as I did it, I had ZERO issues with my Arc playing audio with my TV//Apple TV. And even though all 4 speakers show up on my system in the Sonos app (iOS), I simply cannot play music to ALL Sonos devices from Spotify. I can either do 1. Play music to my two Eras 100’s + Play:1 *OR* just to the Arc. When I pair them all together in the Sonos app, NOTHING plays - complete silence. HELP! 

I have 5 x Sonos 1 and 1 x Sonos SL (the one with Alexa). All the speakers run off the new app (App2 I think). I play my music via Spotify. I want to play music from my turntable and have been told I would need a Sonos 5 as it has the socket required to run an alternative music source through it. To keep costs low I was hoping to buy a 2nd hand Gen 1 Sonos 5, but a few sellers say it will only work from App1. Yet I run both Gen1 and Gen 2 Sonos 1’s  from the new app.  Would I be ok in buying a Gen 1  Sonos 5 to get what I want, connect my turntable.   Hope all this makes sense.

I have heard conflicting information on a completely hardwired system with Ethernet run to all devices.  Does the 32 device limit still apply in this case?  Are there ways to workaround the limit?  I’m building a large residential network with Ubiquiti managed switches/cloud gateway, so it has a lot of extra functionality and configuration options including VLANs.  Does this impact the total device limit?  I currently have hit the 32 device limit with wireless, but I’m wiring every device for better latency/reliability, and to ensure that my whole house playing music isn’t occupying any WiFi bandwidth.  I’m setting up all WiFi 7 access points too. Documentation isn’t completely clear or specific on this, and I’ve heard of other systems hardwired with more devices.
