Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My sonos roam 1 failed to work and support sent me a new model as replacement.i was first glad to see that new device was a sonos roam 2, but I quickly switched to disappointment as for no reason (?) sonos roam 2 is unable to work with Google Assistant…I was not advised of this at any point… and this is a huge pain for me as all my Domotic devices work with GA. How will you fix this, please?cannot stay like this.

Mini Sub connectivity issue: I have a Arc and 2 Era 300s as surrounds in my living room. The mini sub was connected to this, I moved it to my bedroom and connected to a pair of Era 100s. After a few days I shifted it back to my living room but have not been able to connect to the Arc system. I am not new to Sonos, have used them for more than 10 years. Have tried every thing including resetting the Arc and Era300s, resetting the Wi-Fi, but nothing seems to work. The Arc and surrounds are working fine but the Sub is not connecting to the Arc. The app goes to try again twice and then says done, but no connection. Pl help me sort it out, very frustrating! 

Hi, I have an old Play:3 that I would like to use with my tv (Google TV). I’ve connected it to my phone and what not I just can’t figure out how to play sound from the tv. Ideally I would like to use Bluetooth but I am open to any suggestions. Thanks

I have 2 Sonos 1’s along with a Sonos Arc in my living room. I initially had them set up as surrounds. However, due to my hearing loss, I removed the surround set up so I could control them each individually. With them connected as surrounds or not, intermittently I get a crackling/scratchy noise mostly from the 1’s. Arc has done it also. My system is up to date. I’ve moved some of my Sonos 1’s from other rooms in our home, crackling continues even when swapping other speakers out. I attempted to Chat with Support today but Darius doesn’t understand the word “intermittent”. So, I abruptly ended the chat with no success. Any other troubleshooting suggestions? 

Hi all. Amongst numerous other issues I am experiencing, I am unable to mute individual zones independently ( I have 5 sonos amps) when using my sonos app on my android, but can do it when using my wifes Apple phone. Does anyone else have the same problem and does anyone have a solution? Thanks.PS  I have no intention of changing to an Apple phone as my dislike for that company is even greater than that which I currently have for Sonos!!!

Bonjour, For several days, it has been impossible to connect to my Roam speakers in AirPlayThe messages I have are:AirPlay Connection to "Roam G" impossible. This speaker is configured so that people who share this house can access it. To listen to the audio content of this Mac on these speakers, change the setting of the "Home" app to allow "People connected to the same network" Yet my settings in the "Home" app on all my devices (AppleTV, iPhone, iPad) are of course: "People connected to the same network" I restarted all my devices, I changed the settings in the "Home" app by doing several tests, nothing works My devices are up to date with the latest Apple and Sonos software versions. Thank you for your help in advance

Why is Sonos suddenly asking me every time to “ Sign in as owner to see Recently Played “?very annoying!

I bought a Beam 2 seven month ago, and the last couple of months the Beam is developing a tinny metalic sound in talking/voice sounds (playing music is still fine, but I think other frequencies are used there,  I am sure there is technical / scientific explanation for it). Got a new router.

After a moving I’m installing my Sonos product in my new home. During the process to add my Sonos Connect to the Sonos system, I get the message “press the button whit the white blinking light”.I have pressed it many times, but the app answer me “we do not detect the pressure of the button” and the process halts. I have repeated it many times and I got always the same result: installation failure.  Any suggestion?

Roam not working as stereo pair.

I am staying at an airbnb that has a couple sonos speakers. But when I go to the sonos app it doesnt show the speakers, ive already changed the network but still nothing

I am having issues when I am watching anything with atmos I am experiencing echo through all the speakers. I have unplugged the arc and plugged it back in but still doing it. I have a arc x 2 era 300s and x2 subs can anyone help cheers 

I’m using a furète max 4K as audio and video source. It is connected to my tv on hdmi2.1 port. The tv is set for audio pass through on hdmi arc. The hdmi arc is connected to the Sonos arc. There is audio but in the Sonos app it has no audio in source listed and only stereo pcm is playing. If I rewire everything but use an onkyo tx-nr555 as source with the Max connected to an hdmi 2.2 on the amp, I get full spatial, hd and atmos. Why not with the max and arc by themselves?

Does anyone know if Sonos is purposely asking their app complete and utter garbage? My assumption is that it’s to push people into buying newer speakers that have airplay (or whichever system android is using). It’s not even usable in it currently state. 

Good Morning, I want to go old school and hook up my sono’s one speakers to an onkyo stereo receivier. 1) can this be done and what would my hook up look like?i also want to hook up my turntable to the stereo receiver so the ol LP’s can play away…….thoughts?Thanks in advance for your help.

When I try to play my local npr station (WUNC) it doesn’t play and an “Unknown Content” message appears by the logo. It is one of my favorites but I have already tried removing it and looking it up again. I get it through tunein. It played fine yesterday and I can play it on my phone through the station’s app so it is not a problem with their streaming. Also tried turning it on from my wife’s phone but that did not work either. Does anyone know what the message means and how to fix it?Thanks!

Why does sonos create an iTunes folder and an iTunes Music Library.xml file when I update the music library? For some reason it decides to create this folder and file even when I don’t have a path for my music folder set up. I also wonder where it gets the data to put in the xml file? It’s not my latest music library because newly imported cd’s aren’t in it, but it does create an xml file referencing to part of my library.My music is stored on an USB drive connected to my iMac and Music/iTunes works fine. Sonos however does not. Even when I export my music library to xml and copy that file to the iTunes folder, Sonos doesn’t seem to use this new file because when I open the xml file the references to my latest imported CD’s are in there but they don’t show up in de Sonos library.

When i login on an iphone the keyboard mapping is wrong and you have to switch constantly to enter an email address.Why don’t you use the correct email/keyboard mapping???

Hi everyone,  my one sl stops suddenly and refuses to work, the message is "not registered! 

The sonos app is not saving my settings when I change bass, EQ etc etc, if I sett bass to +2 it goes back to 0 after i close the app and opens it again. Same with eq settings.. Why is that? Iphone 14 pro max, Sonos Arc

Hi everyone,I am a beginner in this field. We got this second hand system in my house. We have Sonos speakers installed in the walls and ceiling. We have an entertainment stand with Apple AirPort Extreme, a switch, a Sonos connect, a Denon AVR-X2600H and a subwoofer. There is another Sonos connect in the pantry room connected to other wall Sonos speaker. I don’t see green light on sono connects and cannot hear sound from speakers. Appreciate any help and assistance.   

I still do not have access to my music after the updateAs recommended I have reloaded my NAS library but still am not getting access to my music.Mostly I don't see my music library.Occasionally it appears but on selecting music or albums or artist etc I get the message oops something went wrong.Has anybody got a solution to this problem.Thanks
