I currently have an arc, sub gen 3 and 2 era 300’s

is there a step by step procedure for replacing the arc with an arc ultra?

I seem to be blinded by science with all I’ve read concerning resetting the system, disabling speakers etc. etc.

surely it’s more straightforward?

Thanks

My chosen steps would be…

  1. Unbond the Surrounds & Sub from the Arc.
  2. Remove any voice assistants from the Arc (if necessary)
  3. Deregister the Arc from HomeKit (if using & plan is to sell-on the device)
  4. Rename the Arc ‘room’ to something else via the Sonos App ‘System/Room]’ settings.
  5. If keeping the Arc device for use elsewhere - move it to the chosen ‘other’ room and setup with new TV/remote - If not keeping it, then factory reset it, ready for re-sale etc.
  6. Now Install the new Sonos Arc Ultra using the Sonos mobile App, giving it the original ‘room name’ of the previous Sonos Arc. Setup for use with TV & Remote. Bond the two Surrounds & Sub to the Arc-Ultra.
  7. Add any voice assistants, as required, to the Arc Ultra
  8. Register Arc Ultra as an accessory in Apple HomeKit (if using).

Thank you Ken 👍
