Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Sonos ARC is not seen from macOS app (S2), I have got all the other speaker being seen except ARC. iOS app (S2) can see everything.  This happened less than 2 week, since before everything was working. Anyone else facing the same issue?

I am trying to connect a Marantz ER2500 CD/DVD player to my Sonos 5 speaker. I also own a Marantz PM710 DC Amplifier that I’m actually already using to connect my AR XA215832 Turntable to the Sonos 5. Being doing this for years, and although definitely not the ideal set up, it has worked well for us. I have the Amp connected to Sonos with an RCA cable and what I believe is a TRS Male Stereo to Dual RCA Female Adapter. What I’m trying to find out is if it is possible to connect both my Marantz ER2500 CD player and my AR XA215832 turntable to the Marantz PM710 DC Amp, then the amp to the Sonos 5. Anyone knows if this is possible? What cable to I need? So thankful for any advice.

HI - we were trying to buy about 6 different models to set up our home on Sonos a few weeks ago.  I didn’t realize that they were really on-sale.  I thought it was just the usual “this is MSRP but your price is this” because Costco, Amazon, Sonos and Best Buy were all the same.  Does anyone know they are going back on sale?  Or did i miss the boat for a while?

Your latest update is not very good. By which I mean God awful. And I use that phrase because the phrases I want to use would almost certainly fall foul of a moderator, so I will use clues instead: 7 letters - excrement from man’s best friend (could be two separate words, three letters followed by four).  7 letters followed by 4 letters - first word rhymes with ducking, second word identical to one used in previous description.  Pony, which is Cockney rhyming slang - full version is “Pony and trap”I could go on. Please fix it so I can enjoy listening to music via my Sonos speakers - can you imagine that? I have distant recollections of so doing, they were good times.    

Can I pair the Sonos Mini Sub to the Arc?

My Sonos Arc has been installed in my media wall at home - I have just had to change my internet provider and I need to re sync the Arc to use its features - HOWEVER - I cannot get to the rear of the unit with disassembly of the total media wall (inbuilt fire - tv - shelving units etc ) - Is there anyway of re connecting to the Arc without access to the rear of the unit ??

I have an Arc, Dual Gen 3 Subs, and two Era 300s bonded in a home theater configuration. I have ethernet drops near all of the components, so I thought, what the heck, why not hardwire them in and disable their RF radios. Turns out, the Era 300s don’t give an explicit option to disable their radios, but Sonos has said that if you connect ethernet to them, they will disable their radios automatically. Makes sense. I go ahead and set everything up, wire everything in, and disable the radios on the Arc and Subs. After this, I noticed that the surround audio coming from the Era 300s is choppy, and I did not see much ethernet traffic passing though either ethernet adapter connected to the Eras (or the switch port these adapters are connected to). I checked the speaker’s network diagnostic information (http://IPADDR:1400/support/review), and I see that for both Eras, there is an active ethernet link, but if I look under /proc/ath_rincon/status, I see that the Atheros radio is still connected

I have the same problem described in many other posts since 4 months. I have tried signing out and back in to the app. That didn’t work.  Come on Sonos - get this fixed. You are looking like pure clowns!

Als ik mijn tv samen met ziggo next in stand-by zet raakt hij verbinding kwijt met sonos. Stekker tv eruit en erna erin dan doet alles het weer. Sub connecting to wifi, but not working

Has this messed everyone up?? I have 7 Sonos products and just lost more than half with the latest update: shambolic mess and all I did was allow an update.

Considering buying 2 Roam speakers for outside by pool. I still run S1 since I have a combination of older and new products. Will these new Roam speakers integrate easily?

I have added several custom radio stations via TuneIn (new) and have renamed them in the Sonos desktop app. However, when I play any of them the URL is displayed in the section showing what is playing. Is there any way of displaying the name rather than the URL?

After the new app update in May 2024, I can no longer play Apple Music on speakers.  I have reauthorized the service numerous times.  What happens is I can browse to a specific song, and when I hit play, it attempts to play for 5-10 seconds and then stops.  On a playlist after hitting play, it will try to play the first 4-5 songs for 5 seconds each, shipping then to the get one, and then finally cycling back to the first song in the play list and stopping.  No sound ever comes out in either case.  Sonos radio, Amazon music, TuneIn are all working just fine.  It’s specific only to Apple Music.    Any troubleshooting assistance would be greatly appreciated!

so my system is a sonos arc, a gen3 sub and 2 sonos one gen 2.I had it tuned and it has been running fine for years.Recently i noticed that the bass seemed to be missing so i played some music and sure enough the sub wasn’t playing anything.I rebooted everything, my phone, the internet and the system.Still no joy the app said the sub was connected.so i disconnected the sub from the system using the app and tried to add it back  but the system couldn’t find it so i reset the sub and added it as a new sub and that’s when i lost the existing trueplay tuning.When i run trueplay tuining  it gets to the part where it plays the tones and then says something went wrong. We were unable to custom tune etc.I have tried to run it on an iphone 14 pro and and iphone 12.I have also factory reset the entire system.deleted the app and redownloaded it And checked system update in the app. 

My Current Set Up: Beam GEN 1 paired with SUB MINI + 2 PLAY 3 (Sorrounds). Question: I am now adding SONOS ERA 300 (1 No) : Is it better to pair the SUB MINI with ERA 300 or just add ERA 300 as a normal speaker and retain the SUBMINI + GEN1 Pairing ?Question: 2 By adding ERA 300 as a normal speaker - will ATMOS experience dilute ? or will it be better if paired with SUB MINI   

I have had Sonos speakers around my home for a while. I finally got around to Purchasing the Beam Gen 1 direct from Sonos on the 5th May 22. All of my other Sonos products work faultlessly. The remainder of my network is strong and works faultlessly.   The Sonos Beam however only connects for 20mins or so. Eventually it freezes completely and I have to factory reset in order to wake it up. The problem is exactly the same if you are using WIFI or a Cable connection.  After being told to buy a new Router, over 20 hours of fault finding and 7 hours on the phone to Sonos. The problem is exactly the same. Sonos still believed it was my network at fault.  After 2 weeks I was able to “escalate” my fault to a return. Great they will replace it.    Would you believe the link I was sent for the return doesn’t work.  I am now in week 3 after purchase of The Beam and I am still yet to experience it.  My question being does anyone have a Gen 1 Beam they are happy with? Should I push for a refund an

Good morning,I recently discovered that I can’t group more than two rooms. I have three rooms. In the living room, I have an ARC with two subwoofers and two Sonos One SL speakers, left and right. In the bathroom, a Sonos One speaker, and in the bedroom, a Sonos One. I’m having trouble finding a clear answer on this. I have a Sonos Arc, two Ones, and a Sub Mini configured together in a HT setup. My goal is to not use SonosNet and to have each device on wifi. To do this, I disconnected my Arc from being hardwired to ethernet. It is now on Wifi, on a 2.4GHz radio. The system seems to work fine, but oddly I dont see the Ones or the Sub Mini on my router’s client list.I also tried to keep the Arc connected hardwired to ethernet and “disable wifi” but I believe that killed the grouping. What’s the correct way to do this also the way to confirm it? Having the Arc stuck on 2.4ghz plus no other wifi clients makes me think its on SonosNet. I see the network type info is no longer in the app..Thanks!

 After the latest update 80.09.05 I still only get 100 tracks to load into the queue when starting a playlist I created in Amazon Music.  Other services are not suffering the same restriction.

Hello everyone,I currently use the Sonos Port connected to my TV via a Toslink fiber link (with an RCA/Fibre converter) and it allows me to hear the TV sound on every speaker in my house (3x One SL and 2x ERA 100).I plan to purchase the Sonos ARC and connect it to my TV via an HDMI ARC/eARC link, and no longer use the Sonos Port.I would like to know if the SONOS ARC also allows the sound of the TV to be played on all speakers ?(not only those configured in home theatre).Thank.G.

Running the old S1 app was thinking of moving to the S2 app which now seems to have been replaced with a cloud based app (which seems to have issues hopefully Sonos will sort that soon)but my main question is if this new app is cloud based what happens if your internet goes down or the Sonos server stops working would the app still be able to connect to your local library?

Hi all - I just purchased a Move and pleased with the sound, but what I’m not too pleased about is the fact that it appears that I cannot control the volume of the Move when I play anything using the Sonos app. If I connect the phone to the Move with bluetooth I can indeed control the volume. Is it just me, or does anyone else have the issue that they can’t control the volume when using the IOS Sonos app? Appreciate any inputs as it’s very frustrating.

I have a Sonos Amp (hardwired to the network) remotely located in a closet, I am trying to pair a Sonos Sub (on the WiFi).  It is on the other side of the home so the sub loses connection to the amp.  I can move the sub closer to the middle of the home and the sub responds when the music is on, but this is useless for the application.  Tech support tells me its due to the "Sonos Net" not reaching the sub from the amp.  Has anyone figured out how to extend the "Sonos Net" signal?
