Airplay to Port not autoplaying to system

When using Apple Music, I’d like to find a way to autoplay the port to an existing older system.

I have a Sonos Port for my turntable and an older pre-AirPlay 2, playbar/sub/Sonos One surrounds system - all located in the living room. 

I have autoplay to the family room system setup which works nicely for the line-in turntable.  


However my problem is: when using Airplay for Apple Music, I always have to group the Port to the family room system.  Shouldn’t autoplay AUTOMATICALLY send the signal to the full system??

I have also went as far as to purchase an Era 100 that I could hopefully autoplay (without grouping together everytime) to the older living room system but this also did not work.
