Hello everyone,

I still have a SONOS Amp Gen 1 (App S1) and would like to stream music via Bluetooth (Airplay) which is currently not possible. Does anyone have experience of connecting a bluetooth receiver in between? ---> Bluetooth receiver is connected to AMP, AMP is connected to speaker --> streaming with iphone possible, check :-)

Best wishes

Not something I’d normally do in a home listening environment, as Bluetooth is normally (often, not always) compressed, but it should work, without issue.

Oh, one thing to note. Bluetooth is not the same thing as AirPlay or AirPlay 2.

Any recommendation for a bluetooth device?

Not from me, sorry. I don’t use Bluetooth at home, only in my car and in airplanes (with headphones). I do use AirPlay 2 from my iPad and iPhone to occasionally play something on my Sonos, though. It’s convenient, sometimes.

What's a “SONOS Amp Gen 1 (App S1)“? Sonos makes an Amp, that's still in it's first generation so is not named “"Gen 1” yet. The Amp is however S2 capable. Are you using a Connect amp (gen 1)?
