Sonos Sub gen 3, Burned PCB after adjusting bass settings thru the app.

Hi everyone,

I have been playing aroud with some fine adjustment of my bass setings on my sub and suddenly after increasing the bass settings from -1 to 4-5 , the sub said “BANG” and went quiet for ever. No LED indication or any signs of life. I then decided to open it up and find that my PCB is burned.

I do not have that much expirience around fine electronics so I would kindly ask you for help.

I took a closer look under the burned spot and all looks find, so I assume that issue is only with those components on the top layer.

Did anyone had a similar issue?

No help to you now, but for others.

Sonos can be very helpful on out-of-warranty issues IF you haven’t opened the speaker before calling them. Always call first.
