I recently upgraded home internet and have a new router ( Bell Fibe ) . All devices connect except Sonos speakers.

I have contacted Sonos support and was walked through a process. Result was nothing wrong with Sonos….something wrong with Bell - So, I call Bell and they say “ something wrong with Sonos”

I have read up some on potential issues and performed creating a separate 2.4G network. All steps successful until the last step, where I  add in password to my Wifi and Sonos says” incorrect password”. The password is correct so this is not actually the issue. It just wont connect.

I have seen some other Sonos users have this same issue but don’t see a lot of replies on it and am curious if anyone has found success in any work-arounds.

Thank you !

The same problem cannot connect the Play 1 router (Gen 1) to the Bell router (Sagemcom Gigahub 4000), have you found a solution?

Did you follow the instructions in the new router - installation instructions FAQ?

No solution here unfortunately. I went through the whole process of resetting the play1 to factory settings. The sonos did see the unit and tried to update but fails each time. I actually walked through the process with Sonos support. The result was Sonos support saying its the fault of the Bell Gigahub router. I called Bell support and they say there is nothing wrong and its the fault of tne device. So I need a work around this situation. I have not been able to use my Sonos speakers for months now. Very sad as I have 2 Play1 and a Sonos Playback. Its too bad that Sonos doesn't have a better tool for updating the older speakers to newer routers.

Haul it and your Controller over to a friend’s place, one that doesn’t have the Bell or any Sonos and “borrow a cup of Internet” and see if that helps.

Dig out an old router and hang it off your Bell (double NAT but shouldn’t be a show stopper) plug the Sonos  and connect your controller to it. Travel router would work for this too.

Those are good ideas. Thank you. I will give that a try.
