Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Cannot update Sonos, Error Code 1: Sub.This is with the S2 Sonos app. I have 2 rooms with Sonos equipment in them.In my main room, I have 1 no. Sonos TV Soundbar, 2 no. Sonos Play 1s & a Sub.In my other room, I have 1 no. Sonos 1 paired with a Sonos 1 SL & a Sub.When first clicking on ‘Check for software updates’ on the ‘Manage’ tab, when the update gets to ‘finishing,’ I am told I have an update problem.’There was a problem during the update of your Sonos system.’’Select ‘Try again’ to repeat the update.’I can try this for time immemorial, but it still does not finish updating.When I click on ‘More information,’ I get ‘Error code 1: Sub.’ If I click on the ‘For more information, see’ link, I get a range of updated ideas to try.What I have tried:Retry the update. That does not work. Reboot your router. That did not work.What I haven’t tried:Reboot your Sonos products. Although I haven’t tried this yet, the initial ‘Error code 1: Sub,’ does that mean I should unplug the Subs fir

This topic is older and might not have the most up to date information. Please click here to see a list of more topics around the same subject. Why do I need to sign in as system owner every time? This occurs,  just at the start if a Sonos session, but within a session too. That is, the words “Sign in as the System Owner …” are permanently dominating the screen. I could cry with the frustration.   Pls help, or tell me where I’ve gone wrong … or better still. I have two Sono One speakers on wifi.   Unpaired, both play fine, both individually and together.When I try to make a Stereo Pair out of them, the second one added has no sound.   If I create the pair using the L speaker, the R doesn’t have sound.  If I create the pair using the R speaker, the L doesn’t have sound.I have tried power cycling them and plugging them into ethernet.  Nothing has worked.   Software is up to date.  I’d like to avoid a factory reset as I’ve wasted enough time on these already.

Have correct app on latest version as are all my Sonos products. I have a Sonos one in the bedroom where the status light is turned off so not to disturb us while sleeping. However it keeps turning back on and even though I deselect it again in the app, once again it comes back on, very annoying. Any pointers to help 🤔 Thanks 

My Move has disconnected from my network.  I did a factory reset and while adding the Move product have been prompted for an 8 digit passcode which I don’t have.  How do I bypass this step to complete the installation process?

I want an setup with AMP connected to my projector(HDMI arc), and then connect wireless to front speakers and back speakers( FIVE or ERA).Is this possible, will there be an delay with the picture and sound?

I recently changed internet provider. Getting the speakers back on the app was a nightmare and I had to wire a lot of them into the router to connect them. Things initially seemed ok but always had a problem with Deezer and flow. It would play what appeared to be my daughter’s music in different rooms and mine in other rooms. So I decided to try an and sort it out. Disconnected Deezer from Sonos deleted Sonos app and reinstalled it and then things got worse. When I restarted the app and tried to join the system it said I had multiple systems on the same Wi-Fi. Majority of speakers were on system 1 and a single speaker had migrated to system 2. I joined the system with most speakers on and factory reset the one that was now on system 2. I cannot now connect that speaker to the Sonos app as it says it can’t find any Sonos products on my my mobile device network. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. No joy but now it says It is not connnected to Deezer or any other content providers and

I have lost my Local Music Library connection since this dreadful new app update was released and now cannot add it back despite trying til I can’t try anymore!My library is on a NAS drive where all my music tracks are arranged into ‘band’ folders. I can access them through my PC no problem but not through Sonos. The only difference being that the path to access via my PC is: \\BTHUB\usb1\Music - note the backslashesIn the new Sonos app that same path cannot be used as the app wants a path that uses forward slashes. It will not accept backslashes.i tried putting in the same path but with forward slashes and my NAS drive fires up but doesn’t connect . Any suggestions please 🙏   

I see there is a topic already about this from 5 months ago but it has been closed.  Is there a solution to this bug? 

My Sonos one SL stopped working from one day to the other. I’ve tried different power cables, factory reset and anything else I could find online to no avail. The unit is just over two years old so there’s no more warranty. I have another nine Sonos One installed, but if this keeps happening, I’m very tempted to sell the whole bunch and switch to an alternative. I’ve noticed similar threads were closed without a solution. I’ve noticed similar threats were closed without a solution which I find a bit concerning. Please advise.

I can’t get spotify onto my controller at all, it isn’t in the available services

I cannot connect to any of my Sonos products and do not want to spend hours on each separate component to connect 

I am not able to find tidal in my menu of services on Sonos. I am in UAE. Have tried on multiple occasions, without successany help would be appreciated 

Hello, the sound quality from my Era100s is terrbile when the audio is coming from the TV. It has always been like this. Difficult to describe, but it sounds very quiet and very, very rough. When playing from the Sonos app they sound like they are supposed to (loud, crisp and clear). My setup:TV LG OLED48C14LBSKY StreamBeam (Gen2)Sub MiniEra100 x2HDMI 2.0 cables The TV is connected to the Beam via the HDMI2 ARC port, and SKY Stream via HDMI1. The Beam is connected to the router via ethernet. The Sub mini and Eras are wireless. The TV “Sound Out” is set to “HDMI(ARC) Device” and “DTV Audio Setting” is “Dolby Digital Plus”. Is my setup at fault, or can anyone give me advice? It does strike me as odd that there is a fault somewhere with hardware or software. Could it be that the HDMI2.0 cables have to be HDMI2.1, as the only material difference between the audio coming from the Beam itself or the TV is the TV itself and the cable(s). Thanks for any advice.

Hey Sonos, instead of constantly coming out with new products. How bout you fix the backbone of your user experience. every five minutes my game room is no longer seen on the app, all music stops and I have to login and talk to customer support.If I knew this I would have never bought your system, sound is great but user interface blows. Get your shit together!

Greetings:I am having massive problems with my Sonos system (Arc, Sub 3, two One SLs as surrounds). One symptom is that I can’t get sound from my 4k blu-ray player, although the picture is fine. I have spent literally days trying to figure it out, but I guess it’s too complicated to deal with here. I have a 65” LG G3, an Apple TV 4K with ethernet and 256gb, and an Oppo 4k player. But one simple thing is happening, maybe this will be a clue. When I play a Tidal playlist, using the Apple TV Tidal app, whenever I hit a Tidal song that features Dolby Atmos, I get a big red warning about how my device does not support Atmos, and that the song will be covered to stereo. I’d be fine with that, except the resulting sound is very low and muffled. I also tried turning off the Arc and seeing if the ‘stereo’ sound would be going to the surround. It doesn’t. When I try the same playlist using Apple Music, it plays fine, although I’m not sure if it is playing Dolby Atmos or not. What could be causin

Why does my Sonos app show the track I was playing about 30 mins ago while it's now playing something else.App is still responsive - I can pause, play, vol up/down but it's not updating the track.Just about had it with this system, Sonos user for 10+ years... I've had speakers disappear and need a full system reset, hate the new app UX - which I could probably live with if it actually worked…Youtube Music, via play:3 units and Beam. No internet issues (consistent 35MBit free while streaming, <7ms latency).(and to update, it just randomly stopped playing while writing this... but hitting play started it again immediately... FFS!)  

One of my Sonos play ones was flashing green and when I reset it now it’s in another group and I can’t get my surroundsound in the same group. Now after screwing around with it, I can’t even get it to work like it used to with my TV and everything else, how do I Get it back to where it was without deleting everything. 

Ever since the new app a few years back. I have had nothing but problems with the connectivity of my system. It seems like every month I have to completely delete and reinstall my whole system to get it to work for even a few days.  Did anyone else have these issues? Were you able to solve them? And how?

I want to play on my mobile and connect it to beam 2. Is this possible?

In prior releases of the Sonos iPhone application we were able to change the listening volume via the iPhone buttons.Many other iPhone applications are able to provide this functionality, please allow the Sonos application to do the same.

I have a Verizon router CR200A and after switching and I can't figure out why it won't communicate with the router. I have plugged it in directly and the app sees the device amd attempts to set it up and fails on the password handshake. I need to sell my system for rent in 6 days and my buyer is requesting proof the speakers work and I really need help badly. 

Cannot set up sub gen 3. Has orange light on

When I got to my Sonos app and try to activate speech enhancement it will not allow me to do so, the icon won’t even activate.I run Apple TV with my Arc, two play 1’s, and a sub.  It worked before but now it’s not even a option to turn on.

Yesterday I upgraded to IOS 80.09.09 + executed the speaker update in S2.For years I have 2 sets of speakers grouped and connected to the TV set. Set 1 with 1x playbar, 1x sub, 2x play 1 in livingroom + set 2 with 2x play 3 in diningroomafter the upgrade to 80,09,09 the audio on the TV is severely distorting when the 2 sets are grouped together.when I deselect set 2 out of the grouping, the audio on the TV works fine.when playing music the grouping of the 2 sets works fine too.Question: what may cause this issue?Appreciate your feedback
