Hi everyone,

I recently changed my home Wi-Fi router, and ever since, my Sonos system won’t connect. I’ve tried resetting the router and reconnecting through the Sonos app, but it keeps saying it can’t find the system. I’ve also ensured my phone is on the same network.

Does anyone know the best way to get the speakers to reconnect? Should I factory reset them or is there a simpler fix?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Well, there are several options in the new router - installation instructions FAQ.

My two recommendations are to set up the new router with the same SSID/password and security type, but often temporarily wiring at least one SonosNet capable speaker is enough to connect as well. What I would not do is any factory resets.

I Cannot do wired connection to network

Why not?

Since it would have to be run all across rooms which I would like to avoid

You can temporarily move a unit to a location near a network port.

Ok thanks. I will try that.

If moving is a hassle, Amazon and others sell inexpensive 50 and 100 foot Ethernet cables you usually only need it connected for a few minutes.

Thank you Stanley will try that

I tried connecting a LAN cable to the Netgear router with a Sonos One. And then did factory reset, one by one. It goes up to last step of update and the throws an error of 1016 and sometimes 1000. The India Sonos helpline number seems to be defunct. Not sure how to proceed
