My system says ‘access to Apple Music has expired.  My Apple Music has not expired .  Sonos not working again- big surprise.

I thought I would delete app from my app screen , now I can’t find it in order to fully delete it

Hi @cthomas,

Sorry to hear you’ve been having issues reauthorizing Apple Music. If you’re still having the loop issue, try reauthorizing after each of these steps:

  • Force close and re-open the Sonos app.
  • Restart your controller.
  • Try a different controller.
  • Remove Apple Music and re-add it as a service in the Sonos app.

If you still get the error after trying the above, I suggest logging out of the Apple Music app on your phone, then logging back in and trying to re-auth/re-add Apple Music to Sonos.

I hope this helps!

This is normal, you have to authorise streaming services and after a set time the authorisation expires. You just need to follow the on screen prompt to authorise the account.

Thank you.   I have tried to reauthorize my access but going in a loop.   Continuosly back to “your apple music account access has expired - reauthorize.   I go through the ‘reauthorize’ process only to go back to “your apple music account access has expired - reauthorize”. !!

For some reason it does not connect.

Apple music gives you access to the music stored on your phone without having to pay a subscription.. However to use Apple Music within the Sonos App you have to pay a monthly subscription. Queried this with both Sonos and Apple - Why do i have to pay a subscription to play music i’ve purchased.

Sonos say it’s down to Apple but when you speak to Apple they say it was a decision of Sonos to only allow subscribers to use Apple Music as a service within the Sonos App.

Sonos confirmed they removed the ability to access music on device (iphone) some time ago.
