Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

So I'm looking to upgrade my SONOS ARC to the new ARC Ultra, Upon lookin on @Sonos website , they have a new mount for the Arc Ultra that's a tad different than the Arc Mount. The Arc Soundbar Specs under Mounting say"Threaded mount 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) / 10-32 threaded mounting socket" The Arc Ultra Soundbar Specs Under Mounting Say"M5 x 0.8mm thread pitch L6.5mm" I have the TV mount with the Arc Soundbar mount that Sonos sells on their websitethe "Sanus Extendable Soundbar TV Mount Designed for Sonos Arc"  Will this be compatible with the Arc Ultra? AlsoWhat is the difference between the "Threaded mount 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) / 10-32 threaded mounting socket" and the "M5 x 0.8mm thread pitch L6.5mm" ? If its compatible and will work, I notice that yes the Arc Ultra is a little lighter than the Orignial Arc, but with the extra width would it cause a problem?  

Hello,I just did a factory reset on my Beam, it has been working good for more than a year, but after the factory reset i suddenly have huge problems.Install via Wifi doesn’t work, it won’t accept my wifi password, and yes i use 2,4GHz, i always split my networks (2,4 and 5GHz separate). I also tried on another router now, my old one, and not accepting my password, but with exactly the same password i can connect with other devices, so it really is a SONOS ISSUE.Then i try with ethernet cable,it goes trough setup, but ends with “cant connect to WIFI with “” “  so an empty network.. but i tried everything for last 3 hours.. using other networks during setup, start over with cable and without, performed another factory reset.. seriously, i have installed many Sonos products in the past, i have had 2 beams (gen1 and gen2) i have had 4 sonos one a roam etc Something is going on with the setup, some bug in the mobile app? I use latest android app (it’s up to date). any help would be appreci

Hi,Until today I have been able to play different songs on different speakers from a single Spotify account.But when I do it today, every time a start a new room, the former room stop playing.I have tried to start it directly from the Sonos app and from the Spotify app with the same result.Any settings I might have missed? Or is there something changed in the Spotify/Sonos license?BR Torben

I have a Sonos Playbar which has dropped off my system i.e. in my Sonos App, on the “Systems Settings” page, there is a subsection entitled “Your Settings”, which for the Playbar in question, the App says it is “Not Connected”, whereas all the other Sonos devices are listed by what they are eg Playbar, Arc etc Firstly, I don’t understand why this Playbar has dropped off as I have 4 other Playbars, which are all still connected.Secondly, and most importantly, how do I go about reconnecting a Playbar which has dropped off my system/App?I’m asking for help as I had an AV Company install my entire AV system, which Sonos just forms one part of, and this is all out of my skill set.  Thanks in advance.

Hello. My Era 100’s sound terrible (quiet and very rough) when playing from TV (Laptop, SKY Stream), but nice when playing from the app. Any ideas?System:Beam Gen 2Sub miniEra 100 x2TV LG OLED48C14LBSKY StreamHDMI 2.1 cables The TV audio is set to eARC and Dolby Digitial plus.Any help would be appreciated.

When I set up my Playbar, ther is no selection for it on my LG 47GA. Is there an alternate selection that works? 

After 2 hrs on phone with cust serv, SONOS 5 was finally back to working, 4 mos after app update. Due to hurricanes, had some power outage and no time to listen to music. For reasons that don’t matter, I have 2 wifi connections, “A” and “B”. B is what everything is connected to but occasionally, devices will jump to A. Before trying to play SONOS today, I ensured phone app, laptop (music library) were both on B. But app couldn’t find my device. I tried unplugging and replugging as per directions. When I change phone app to wifi A, the device is discoverable but I can’t access laptop/music library. I also cannot force the app to point to WiFi B. There must be some way to do that but the only option it gives me is to delete WiFi B. Not what I want. How do I get the Sonos 5 to point at / prefer wifi B?

Why is Sonos the worst utility on my phone? It’s impossible to problem solve in the app. Nothing works. 

My Sonos system has worked fine the last several months using both the original S2 app and the new app (on different phones). Last week my Arc showed as Not Connected in both apps. After several hours of power cycling and factory resets, I got it working again. Until yesterday when it showed up again as Not Connected. My diagnostic code is ************.Any assistance or suggestions would be very much appreciated. Hi - I am still running my system on S1 without many problems.  Lately, though, my ZonePlayer 100 is disappearing from the network.  I think I purchased the unit around 2005, so it might just be dying...however, it comes back into the visible zones and plays music every time I power the unit off and on.  Any ideas for things to try to make the problem stop recurring?  Thanks, David   

I reset the Sonos One from the instructions; but it doesn’t recognize the wireless router and thus won’t connect to my Spotify account.  It won’t connect to NPR radio station either.

Hi! Connected my Beam via e-arc to the tv, and all to the Wi-Fi ( 1 beam and 2 symfonisk) - I can play music in allbut when trying to create a surround I get the following message  any idea on how to solve it? thanks

I’m experiencing weird crackling noise and distortion on a new Port through SPDIF output (streaming from Spotify).It sounds like digital clipping, and is most noticeable on low volume parts of songs.its not always there, sometimes it starts playing without it, but it always appears after a short while (or maybe I start noticing it after a while).output is set to “fixed” in the app, like recommended for use with external DACs, but in other modes the noise is also present.Sound from analog output is fine, but I bought Port to use with my own DAC, and don’t want to use analog output.I’ve never experienced anything like that with any other digital components.I tried connecting to 2 different DACs and also tried to pass Port’s spdif signal through a reclocker and also through spdif to toslink optical converter. Did not help. (All devices are known to work fine with other sources)Has anyone experienced anything like that? Do you think my unit is broken/DOA?any advise would be appreciated.tha

After expending over $5,000 on Sonos equipment and numerous monthly subscriptions, the system has proven to be unusable. Sonos - why not release an upgrade that opens apple AirPlay on all speakers.  This would allow people to play music and never need to use your truly awful app experience ever again.

My Sonos Sub 3/4 will not turn on. I've tried to reset by holding join button then plugging in to power but the light is off. Is the speaker dead?

My 6 year old Sony TV has an HDMI ARC input, not  an eARC input. Would I still be able to benefit from getting an Arc Ultra? Or would that not be compatible or optimal? 

The title of the post says it all, ladies and gentlemen.

The new App is defective. For some reason, I get stuck in an endless “reauthorize” loop with Sonos Radio. After a day, the problem is still not fixed. I have tried logging out and back on, I have unplugged and re-plugged the speakers as some other post here suggested, but to no avail. Sonos Radio is not working. I had a similar problem with Apple Music, but after removing the service and adding it back, I got Apple Music to work in the end. The problem is that you cannot remove Sonos Radio. I have spent at least 3 hours on this. I will certainly not ever purchase another Sonos device. I also note that the “Sonos Favorites” showing in the iOS App are just as subset of the full list that I see in the Sonos App on my Mac. Somehow, more than half of my favorites have simply disappeared. Sonos is just such an absurdly incompetent company. I tried contacting customer support, but I started out as being 32 in the queue but the number never went down. I gave up after 3 hours of waiting.

I have a Beam (Gen1) and 2 surround speakers (Play 1). Beam connected to TV through ARC and the Ones are wifi enabled. Surround speakers both lose audio for a moment annoyingly frequently. There is no drop in audio output to the Beam, only the two surrounds.Does anyone have any ideas? Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi,So I have a turntable connected to a pair of Sonos 5 speakers and the system has worked just fine for over a year. This morning I was listening to a record and went to turn the volume up via the app and when I hit Apply, the sound cut out completely and now I can’t hear anything. I’ve shut down the app, uninstalled and reinstalled it, checked all the settings but nothing has worked. The connections are all fine and literally the only thing that’s changed was hitting that Apply button.   Does anyone have any idea on what to do as I’m beyond annoyed at this.    Thanks. 

can i add Bluetooth external non sonus speakers to  my gen 1 beam to create a  surround sound system  ?If yes how is it done ?

HelloI bought an ARC and a SUB one year ago. For 6 months the pair of them sounded amazing.  It could be a coincidence, but 6 months ago I updated my broadband deal and got a new router. Since then the sound from the ARC and SUB have deteriorated. Previously I had to have the SUB volume set below 0 because the bass was too powerful. When watching a film on Netflix the wardrobe doors used to rattle due to the power. Since the change of router, I can turn the SUB to maximum volume with no real change. When placing my hand inside the SUB I can feel that it’s working, but the sound is terrible to what it used to be.  I have had both the SUB and the ARC replaced by the store they were bought from. The sound is still the same. Not great. I have phoned SONOS support on many occasions and they can’t find any faults when I’ve submitted diagnostics. Their advice is that it could be a software issue and I should wait for a software update. I was told this in July and on Thursday (24/10/24). I’ve

I am about to move to a new house soon which will involve resetting my current system (as above title) and planning a media wall etc .. though this is exciting for me I have never really been a tech guy to sort best optimised usage for what I have, I would really like to know if the speakers I have would all work together maybe as a 5.1.. is this possible? Also would be very grateful for any room setup tips.. the new room to be has an unused standard fireplace/ chimney that protrudes forward with 2 alcoves either side.. and the room is about 12ft square....

I have to re-add all of my speakers to my system each time I want to use them, and most of the time, they don’t show up and won’t connect. I have spent hours on the phone with support over multiple calls, and no one has a resolution. This system is a waste of money, especially since the sound quality doesn’t come close to other systems.
