Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

This morning I went to play music within my house, and all the components do not exist. When I try to add them, it’s looking for a pin that does not exist on many of the components. When I try to add a component with a pin, system will not save it. There are over 50 devices that were in my system. 

For a long while music library sharing has been a problem.   I have just downloaded and installed the latest update but am still unable to  get access to my library.   Should this still be the case or am I going about it rh wrong way?

Hi,i did a reset on my router and now my two gen 1 speakers are showing offline and i cannot reconnect them or find my system on the sonos app?

Why is the ray soundbar so low in volume? How is this a soundbar when my TV gets louder than this I’m so disappointed! Do I need to buy additional speakers or is it even worth it? Should I just send it back and buy something else???

Hello. I bought a new TV. TCL 75" mini led. My old tv worked with my sonos but the new tcl doesn't. I have Playbar, Sub and one. When I plug in my optical cable from TV to playbar, and want to add the new remote to sonos, sonos won't accept it. So I can't turn the volume up and down. Is there any way to give the remote control a new IR frequency, or do something else?

After being told to do a factory reset by Sonos support, I am left with two problems.  Firstly, prior to reset if the Beam was muted (green light) and I adjusted the volume on my Humax remote, it would automatically unmute. Now it does not.Secondly ….what would I lose if I downgraded the Beam to S1? TIA

I have a Sonos Connect playing through my home theatre.  I can use the S1 App but usually just use Spotify.  Suddenly it no longer appears in my Spotify Connect list on devices on the same Wifi network.  This has been operating fine for 8 years.  I can use Spotify in the S1 Sonos App on my iphone but when I am in Spotify I can’t see Sonos.  Alexa can also no longer see Sonos.  My Connect has been upgrading its software automatically.  Is it possible the latest software version doesn’t support Spotify Connect?

Good morning, I would like to know if through the diagnosis available on the app it is possible to understand if one of the three mid-woofers of a Five is working correctly. Unfortunately the Five's grille is very dense and I can't see if it moves correctly. Thank you very much.Massimo

I want everyone in my household to be able to access "recently played" but I don't want everyone to have admin rights on the system. As far as I can tell its not currently possible to give people access to recently played without also giving them admin rights.Please make it possible.

Hi All,I have the listed equipment  Play 1 x 2 (Gen 1) + Sonos Playbar + Sonos Boost and none can be found on the app. I have tried to factory reset one Play 1 and connect via Ethernet cable to the router (whilst Boost was connected) the app recognised it, but would not go to the next step of creating a new system.My system has not been recognised for about 3 to 4 months. I am frankly sick of having dead speaker ornaments in my house that music should be coming out of. I will attempt to call Sonos support tomorrow.If I get through and we can resolve, I will post the solution here.Backstory - These products were all working up to 3 months ago and controlled via the app. the products are not defective. I have owned them for many years. If there is another way of controlling them and linking them, please share. Appreciate any advice. Thanks 

I have just read an email from the CEO of Sonos, which made me feel better about my system. I have always used a line-in function to play CD’s and have linked my TV audio output via this method to my speakers. Since the launch of the new app, I can often get no sound through my Sonos speakers via the line-in as this completely disappears in the app. I often get told I have no products either, despite having 5! It has been incredibly frustrating, and the only way I can fix this is pulling out all the cables, and re-booting the app.I had thought it was something to do with how I was using this function, but it always worked well in the old version. Maybe it is new app?Has anyone else had the same issue with the line-in function?

Hello,This question has been asked many times before, but is there a solution to the AirPlay password issue even though no password has been set?The problem has existed for more than 3 years now, and all that can be found to solve the problem is to reset the device and set it up again.I find this solution very inconvenient, having to set up my device again every few days in order to be able to use it.I am grateful for every new and, above all, permanent solution.Greetings from GermanyBen

Hi, I am trying to connect a Kodak luma 150 projector to my amp which powers a set of outdoor speakers for an outdoor movie with my kids. I have tried an HDMI cable and am rca cable with no success. The projector does have a 3.5 mm audio jack and an HDMI port. What connector do I need? Thanks, Jim

Is it possible to connect Sonos speakers to a Marantz MCR612 via Bluetooth or do they need to be hardwired?

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO UPDATE THE PRODUCTS AND APP??!!   Seriously this is absolute garbage the way your speakers drop steaming music - EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE SOLD TO DO.    this is Walmart level quality now.  I would not recommend Sonos to either of my ex wives.  Ok, maybe one of them. But yall need to get it together.   Nothing but snake oil salesmen at this point.    I prefer my UA Boom over your s**t speakers.  At least I can hear songs in their entirety.   Do better. 

Hi,I’ve just bought some old 1st gen play 3 and play 5 speakers. The previous owner had cut the plugs off and had wired them up for use in France. The speakers now have no plugs at all. Can I simply wire a standard UK 13 amp plug to the Sonos cable and use that?Thanks

I have a 10-node Sonos setup. I am a heavy user of the local music library on my PC, which has over 150GB of tracks.The music library debacle has hit me hard. About every two weeks it starts giving me errors and I have to go through the flaky process of deleting and reestablishing it. I am wondering if my life would be any easier if I just got a NAS and moved it over there. Can anyone say for sure whether this would avoid the local music library issues I’m having and/or is a reliable overall solution with the current (lousy) software?FWIW, I am on Windows 10 and 11 devices. We also use Android and IOS apps but try not to because they are unreliable. If you have a recommendation, please let me know the specs of your setup. Thanks. 

Hi Sonos, today one of my Beam Gen 2’s presented with the persistent white flashing light and was unresponsive to everything - power reset, factory reset, Ethernet connection etc. Totally dead, apart from the DREADED WHITE FLASHING LIGHT!Online chat was great, and concluded the unit has failed. Return and Replacement arranged, which is great.BUT, now looking online in this forum and elsewhere (Reddit etc) I see countless others whose Beam Gen 2’s have suffered the same fate for no apparent reason. Often on very new units still under warranty, indeed mine was very infrequently used as it was in the second living room and not our main TV or Beam.I think it is only right that Sonos, provide us, your loyal customers, with some explanation as to;why this keeps happening,wether it is avoidable,what Sonos is doing about it to ensure reliability of the Bean Gen 2,and importantly wether Sonos will honour a replacement for every unit that presents this fault, regardless of current warranty?It se

whe3n opened it states that there is no products, then it requires re-authorinzing, but it won’t send the email required for the re-authorizationand I can’t even turn up or down the volume - actually I have no control over my system at all anymore - that was okay until the streaming programs changed and I can’t do anything, my system is now useless PLEASE BRING BACK THE LAST APP

I just recently added Port to my Sonos system so I can connect my Denon receiver and Boston Acoustics speakers to my Sonos system. The “line out” function seems to work as expected - I connected line our from Port to aux audio input on my receiver and can now stream on my old system concurrently with my Sonos speakers.  I would also like to output from my receiver to the port and out to my Sonos speakers throughout my house. I have not been able to get this to work. I connected an audio out on my receiver to line in on Port and got no sound or very weak sound on delay. It seams like this should work. Based on product description, it seems like Port should be able to broadcast audio from my receiver to the entire Sonos network.   I called Sonos phone support and they said Port can’t do this. I don’t believe this is correct because under line in in the Sonos app “receiver” is an option. Does anyone have any help for me with this problem?  Thank you. 

Hi guys, I just bought a new Amp for my office. My phone can connect to Wifi normally, but when setting up Amp at the password entry step, the App says I entered the wrong password.I have consulted with the articles about Sonos system requirements and I have met all of them.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-system-requirementsI have checked in the router, my phone uses data normally, Sonos can also connect but cannot receive IP. Can anyone tell me what this issue is and how to fix it?

I’m using an Apple Studio M2 Max and a Sonos Arc without any sub or surrounds, connected to an LG TV through HDMI eArc. I need help setting up MacOS’s “Audio Midi Setup” program.Currently I use the format: 6ch 24 bit integer 48.0 kHz and have the speakers configured as 5.1if I choose 8ch 24 bit integer 48.0 kHz I can configure the speakers as Atmos 5.1.2but when I try to apply this, I get an “Overlapping Channels” error.Does anyone know what setting I should be using in Audio MIDI Setup for the best sound?
