Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

My system with play1 and Sonos 5 gen1 stopped working and now when I try to connect to WiFi it doesn’t work. Tried with cable and it doesn’t work.  what can I do?

They made me buy a new router to my home and I can’t connect my play:3 and symfonik bookshell speakers to new wifi. The app on my iPhone does not find the speakers, it only says that can’t find a speakers.So i reset the speakers, no help there, put a ethernet cable in and one of the speakers, play:3 starts playing, ok , that's good, but the app won’t still find it and when I unplug the ethernet cable music stops.Elisa, finnish company says that the problem is with Sonos because my speakers are so old and the new router is new, top of the line product with 5g and 5 giga system…What I can do next?

I've had an S1 so no system of five components for 15 or more years and it's been wonderful.  Two months ago I got a Sonos Arc for a new TV in a single room and have not even used the S2 app to play music on that system, and my S1 system has been working fine the whole 2 months.  I have not updated any app or component, as far as I know.  But just now, my S1 app can only see the Arc and wants me to download the S2 app.  I've heard about all the mess with the S2 app upgrades in the past 6 months, and have not had to deal with them because I only use the Arc with the TV.  Now this?  Help!

I have a new Sub Mini. I have added it to my system and it shows up as Sub Mini not assigned. If I go the room I have named Library the App tells me I have a stereo pair consisting of a Play 1 left and a Play 1 right. I also have a box which says Connect Sub + and Remove Sub X. If I press Connect Sub I get a new window which says “Let’s add a sub to Library” I then click on Continue. I then get a picture of a Sub Mini and I I am asked to select the sub. I then collect on select. I then get another picture of a sub mini and a box which is a long horizontal slit. A black line Strats to go across and then the screen changes and the message “There was a problem adding your Sub Mini. Check the network connection and make sure that your subject is powered on.” Underneath is a big exclamation mark ! in a circle. Below that a “Try again” button.   So, as far as I know the Sub Mini is on. It has a steady white light and my system can see it. I have no idea how to check my network connection but

Ok - so, when the revamped Android app was launched a few months ago at least I could use my system via the Windows desktop app or with an ipad.This is no longer the case. Every device I used to connect to my system and play music via my Sonos speakers is now useless. Will this nightmare be over any time soon? Or should I just burn those speakers? Is anyone still able to use their Sonos products?

I have multiple sets of speakers and soundbars.  I finish playing music in Room 1 - tap stop icon.  Later, I go to different room. Open AppSelect music/playlist... Option is Play - no way to say where... Now Playing is prior playlist and prior speakers. Seems a simple task for customers with multiple devices.  Any suggestions? 

If I stream music direct from either the Quobuz or Amazon Music HD apps (i.e. not through Sonos) then the experience is even worse with drops outs and skips on every song. Same if I download the songs.

HiMy SONOS setup is as follows;1 * Play 1 (not hard wired)1 * One SL (not hard wired)1 * SONOS Boost (hardwired)1 * TP Link router (no range extenders) - stable and excellent WIFI All running S2SONOS app on IOS and Windows 101 * Music Library of "ripped" MP3 CDs residing on a windows share of a Windows Server 2012 box (using SMB2 - SMB1 not enabled). Share / NTFS permissions on Windows have been checked and are correct. Windows 2012 firewall rules conform to the SONOS documentation.I purchased my SONOS speakers so that I could play music from my "relatively small" (approx. 6000 tracks), music library. I don't use subscription music services. My SONOS content servers comprise various radio stations and BBC Sounds.All worked well until the S2 upgrade. Now I can access my music library from the SONOS IOS app but get inconsistent results when trying to play tracks. Sometimes a selected track will play fine - sometimes from IOS I get a "content unavailable" error or from Windows get an "acc

I was surprised to see only first few Sonos Playlists appear in recent update (80.10.06) They are all there on iOS devices. Have updated speakers etc. Is this a known issue? 

I thought the nightmare was over, but I have suddenly been disconnected from all my services ie Plex, Mixcloid, radio, Spotify. I can't reconnect and can only control with old app on PC. I hate your company 

Recently the sound on the Apple TV cuts out, but only music and background sounds, in movies/series. Works ok if setting the sound to Stereo on ATV. I have a set-up with ATV 4K, Arc, Sub (gen3), Amp (connected to in-ceiling Bose speakers). It’s not all shows or movies that have this issue. Netflix works ok. Appe TV+ not. How can I fix this?

Why my Sonos roam will not register and why is your software like a third grader did it

18/10/24. My Windows controller has just updated and now access to Tidal is broken :-( It can search for artists and songs but not albums or playlists! To play an album, I have to search for a track and then the album appears and I can play tracks one by one but not the album as a whole. Other services (e.g. Plex) work OK. - and the Android app is working. Mark Enderby

For many years i have been able to play music from my desktop PC music library then about a year ago after some updates the music library stopped playing music.  I tried all the normal permission and sharing and setting up new music folders directly on C drive or other remote drives all with permissions correct.Setting up new music folder works and sync music library works but syncs in about 3 seconds and no music to be seen via the app. The same music folders and files are syncing without any problems on my work system and plays music through S1 system no problem. Please advise what i can do to solve this  Many thanksMick

I’m not able to play any streaming content. Local library is fine but everything else seems to be down. Nothing on Sonos support page. Is it just me,  Mr Internet and local network is all performing as normal.  

Since the app update, I can only get Sonos to play one song at a time.Example: head to my tracks in my collection on tidal, select a track, it plays the song and then stops. It used to carry on playing through the list. Example 2: Search for a song or an artist, find a playlist, head to that playlist, select a song to start from and it plays the song but no more after.It used to just carry on playing.Even when you go to artist radio or song radio from another area, The same thing happens.How do I fix this?Thanks

Once again having updated my router I find that the play  1 will not find the WiFi without the ethernet connected.This has happened every time the router is changed or upgraded but usually gets sorted after cable connection. This time nothing..product not found continues with the orange light flashing on the speaker indicating no IP picked up.Not a great advert for Sonos if this happens regularlyAny fixes for this apart from " buy more new Sonos stuff" ?

Here's a new one:Last night my Arc-based home theater set up experienced a disconnect of the volume control  hand-off between LG display to Arc via HDMI. Could control volume via Alexa voice or sonos app, but not with the LG or any other remote control.Unplugged and rebooted everything this morning and the correct hand-off happens correctly again. Even faster than before. I thought this could be an artifact of cloud-based operation, but that might be a stretch.I was dreading contact sonos customer service....

As many have discovered many legacy NAS devices do not support anything other than SMB1 out of the box, and are no longer supported by their manufacturers, meaning there are no firmware of software updates. With a little digging (and some Linux knowledge), I was able to upgrade my Netgear Stora (about 12 years old) from SMB1 to SMB2 and thus get it working with the new Sonos environment. I find it surprising that I had to do this, given the large number of legacy NAS devices out there used for years by many happy Sonos customers (until now), even my shiny new Macbook Air, can use SMB1 to connect to such devices. Anyway that’s another issue.You need to have some technical Linux knowledge to do the following, it’s all done via a ssh session to the NAS.Here’s what I did. (Big thanks to the guys at OpenStora for documenting most of this.)Get root access, and enable SSH, as most of these domestic NAS units do not provide a command line interface. How do I connect my Chromebook music library to my Soson 1 app. Had to keep Sonos 1 because of all Sonos 1 speakers I have.

So I recently bought an Arc...now there’s a new version - I don’t THINK it makes sense to try and “upgrade” (try and return and get the new one)I bought an Arc for $899 last month.  Is it worth trying to return for the next gen for $100 more?I also want a sub...If I return my Arc for the Ultra, I think I’d go with the 4, but if I keep my current one, is there an advantage to the 4?

Hello, new to the forum. I have a play one Sl that I can’t connect to my new router. I have other units that have paired no issue just this one. I have wired it in for the moment and works ok. However when I try to create a surround, I choose the speaker it’s playing from the app and the wireless one will not work and asks to add to the wifi network again. It will not add if the wired one is in. If I reset both then add the other play one it pairs ok. But still can’t pair the Sl, that has to go wired again. The system was all ok before I upgraded to the pro hub 2. I can play them all together no issue just this pairing issue that’s possibly causing the surround issue too? I have spoken both to Sonos and Vodafone but still getting no where. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated and sorry for the long postMany thanks
