Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Well, I’m at my wits end and never before have I regretted dropping over £1000 on what I thought was a well researched purchase. You know the score, Sonos pushes out probably the worst app update in the history of app development (seriously, if there’s been anything worse I’d be curious to hear about it) and my local music library, one of the things I bought all these speakers for has not worked since.I’ve read and tried everything that the guides suggest to no avail. I can get the app to recognise and add my music library but no content ever appears. Checked all the Smbv2 settings and Windows 11 seems convinced that nothing is wrong. Out of desperation I did a full windows re-install from scratch and of course that didn’t help.Can anyone who’s managed to achieve the seemingly impossible tell me what they did to finally get it working?

My Connect is never in sync with my other Sonos speakers. I’m going straight into an amp, so it’s not AVR latency… Is this inherent with the connect?

I have 2 sonos one sl gen 2 as surround speakers paired with a beam 2. The surround speakers keep stuttering and cutting out

I have an arc, sub 3, amp and 2 surround speakers.  All of a sudden my surround speakers are playing all audio, like the arc.  How can I change this?  

Given the unexplained delay in rolling out TrueCinema capabilities on the Ace, the genius marketing gurus at Sonos better not make me have to buy Arc Ultra to get the promised TrueCinema functionality.Just saying...nothing would surprise me.

I just upgraded to the Arc Ultra and Sub Gen 4. I’ve had everything professionally installed. No matter what we try, we can’t get the surrounds to NOT play through the ultra. The Sub is really low, and the sound stage is completely off. All options have been tried but all tests reveal the surrounds are playing through the left and right channels of the arc as well. Suggestions? 

Hey!Used to be able to link both One and Roam (in different rooms). All I get now is an error message. What's the dealio?"Unable to connect. Try again later"I did.It didn't.Reconnected both to the network. Updated all updates! Pressed the 'play' button to link the 'off' one to the 'on' one - no joy. Any off you Sonos heads out there got an answer? Be a shame to bin 'em off as they're cool bits of kit. Thanks! 

I have a new broadband hub and am not able to get my Move to work. I’ve tried the set up process. Sometimes the Move is recognised, sometimes not. I’ve entered the hub password and been told the Move is connected. It doesn’t work. I’ve tried Sonos support to no avail. One screen I opened stated that Sonos works on 2.4Ghz, my hub is 5Ghz. Is this the problem? The screen suggested splitting the hub??? No idea what this means. Any ideas anyone?

The sound quality on my Playbar has recently become distorted while playing audio from my televison, a sony KD-55X85J running android TV.The EQ is really off, little to no mids with overly sharp highs and muddy lows. The issue only exists when playing audio from my tv which is connected through optical and persists whether using an inbuilt app or a separate media box hooked up with HDMI to the tv.the sound quality is fine when playing my music library through the app. playing a number of songs though both the tv and directly through the app, they definitely sound very different.Been spending a few evenings playing in the settings to no avail.So far I’ve tried:changing eq settings of the Playbar: changing the settings no longer seems to do anything at all.changing eq settings of the tv: no dice, the settings don’t seem to exist when when outputting through optical.changing audio output signal on tv: no change, but if I set it to PCM then I get no audio at all.power cycling the Playbar,

My home came with 3 Sonos Amps in a tech closet and 3 sets of speakers (Kitchen, Patio, and Finished Basement).  All of the speakers are in the ceiling and I can stream to them using an App on my iPhone.I just hung a Sony TV (Google O/S) in my finished basement.  Is there a way to send the audio from the TV to the ceiling speakers in the basement?  I can’t run any kind of wire from the TV to the Amps as they are through several walls and 40ish feet away, Thank you. 

The new Sonos app shows no more than 50 items in the album list. This means that it is no longer possible to browse typically older albums of artists who have many, For example David Bowie and Frank Zappa. But there are many many more of course.Will this be solved soon? Is this a known issue?

I have removed sonos app, siriusxm app, removed siriusxm from sonos app and added it back as well as rebooted router and still get ‘something went wrong’ when trying to play anything from siriusxm. streaming works in siriusxm app. 

Why in the world was volume control removed from the iphone app????  This is very frustrating.

The App Volume menu closes within seconds  of opening.  Is there a way to keep the menu open for more than 3 seconds before making a choice?  it constantly closes as I am looking at the different volumes - very frustrating to keep reopening  it appears the only menu with a rapid/ quick dwell time - others remain open until closed 

Hi  I have a Beam Gen 2 and today I purchased a Pair of ERA 100,s however I’m have trouble making them All connect together….  I have the Sonos app and it shows the ERA 100,s and the Beam Gen 2 but they won’t seem to connect to each other. Am I doing something wrong 

My sonos connect amp with serial number: 1508-B8-E9 etc… is not being detected by the application.I havent used for a few years - is there a software application that can be used?

Hi all,I have a Sonos Arc in a surround setup with two Era 300’s and a Sub. I bought a Sonos Port to connect my turntable with build in amplifier to the setup but I can’t make it to work. When I try selecting the Arc to play it says “Unable to connect. Try again later.”Has anyone else had this problem and if so, do you know how to fix it? 

Have had issue with the indexing of my Nas based Music Library I decided to try an tidy it up at file level.   First I must state that some of the library was impoirted from an iTunes library on my laptop an some was ripped directly into the destination without being “doctored” by iTunes.  Consequently, at Windows file level the shared folder on my NAS contains a variety of entries as follows:Some subfolders are named after the title of the album and contain all the album tracks Some are named after the artist with a subfolder for each album and the individual album tracks in those sub-folders Some have the artist name, with an album sub-folder containing just one track - these are from compilation albums.Before I start re-arranging these files my question is - does Sonos have a “preferred” structure, or do they all have to follow the same standard, or id it totally agnostic to this?   My preference will be to have each album in its own folder as that will make it easier to ensure the

My issue started happening about 5 or so days ago and after extensive troubleshooting, I now believe the problem came with a Sonos app update around that time.My setup:- Sonos Arc (soon to be Ultra) and 2 One SL surround speakers- LG OLED65G1PUA TV- Comcast services, including quantity 2 XR15 remote controls (both paired to the TV)My problem:If I hit Mute on the Comcast remote, I continue to get sound and the Mute icon on the TV is not displayed.  I should be getting no sound and a displayed Mute icon.If I hit Mute again, I get no sound and the Mute icon on the TV is constantly displayed (it doesn’t time out and go away).This, of course, is the opposite of the action that should happen.I have had the same setup (listed above) for about 2 years and it has always worked the way it should. A little while ago I had to change out my network controller and Firewall as they were legacy devices and no longer receiving security updates. I was running a UniFi USG and a Gen 1 Cloudkey with a couple of UniFi Access Points. I swapped out the controller and USG for a UniFi Express device and moved my network across. Everything went smoothly and I setup an IOT VLAN for all my smart home devices using a 2.4ghz network only for the WiFi. All of the devices reconnected fine (doorbell camera, rear cctv camera, LED Strips, smart lights etc.) apart from the Symfonisk Speaker. Now to compound the problem this was also around the time of the firmware not updating issue and I had to factory reset the speaker and hardwire it to get it to talk to the Windows client to update.Since then I have tried numerous times to connect the Speaker to my WiFi and it fails every single time. I have gen 2 beam connected to hdmi 3 arc on Sony Bravia xbr55x900f that’s connected to fibe op 4k receiver. Sonos app shows input is PCM Stereo and can’t change when watching tv. Tv is smart and playing Netflix 5.1 movie Sonos app shows same.  how do I get better audio than pcm from tv receiver?

My Sonos amp is connected to my Sony tv via the Arc HDMI port, but it doesn’t recognize it.  I also have an Arc sound bar and it is connected via another HDMI port.  What do I need to do to get my tv HDMI arc port to recognize there is something there?

Even though Play 1's shouldn't work with Arc Ultra, it does.Had Playbar-Gen2 Sub-2xPlay 1. It worked perfectly as a 5.1 surround set.It was time for an upgrade and as such would just upgrade my soundbar and then the rest would come when I could afford it. Yes, I know Gen2 Sub is supported with Ultra. Before installing I removed the surround (play 1's and removed sub) from my Playbar. After that, reset all devices.Installed Arc Ultra. Sonus Roam wont play music. System sounds are audible but no music. Roam is recognized by controller on laptap and on phone. When Roam is powered on, mobile controller loses connection, but not laptop. Have rebooted phone, router and roam. Any ideas?
