Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Seriously.  I can see my Sonos amp on my network.  I have reconfigured and added this amp to network a dozen times.  Time for a new brand I think. 

Having a party and switched off all of the speakers except one.  When I tried to then add the others back, they showed check marks in the app as if they were connected, but no music playing, and were grayed out.  Tried rebooting app, using another iPhone to control, using my MacBook to control.  Nothing.  Party had to continue with no music.  I spent a fortune installing speakers, turntable, soundbar, multiple amps.  Am soooo frustrated!

Hi all just got  some era 300s to use as rears for my ARC ultra. Is there any news on the centre channel being activated in surround mode using non Atmos content? I have them on 10 and find them still a bit quiet 

HiOK, I pulled the trigger and ordered the Arc Ultra and two Sub 4’s. The Sub 4 weighs less than the Sub (Gen2/3); but no loss of performance IMO. I must attribute the weight difference to materials used for the enclosure. The physical appearance of the Sub 4 is more angular around the edges/perimeters versus the gloss finish versions. However, the fingerprint test is outstanding…Zero for the black and white matte finishes. I have both; therefore, I know of what I speak. 😊. Also, the NFC is much faster during setup and it connects directly to your Wi-Fi by-passing the temporary connection to your device.The star of the show is of course the Arc Ultra. The Sub 4 isn't showing in the 'Your System' summary, or when adjusting individual speakers, but does show when I go into Manage/About your system/ - it shows there as in the same room and connected. Does this mean it's connected but not active? How do I get it active and showing in the summary  ? If I try to add another speaker or component from there, nothing shows up.

I currently have an arc, sub gen 2, and for rear surrounds a One and a One SL. If I upgraded to the arc ultra with the gen 4 woofer, can I keep my gen 2 woofer and combine it with the gen 4 one for a dual sub set up? Or do both speakers need to be at least gen 3? Wasn't sure if I could use a pre gen 3 sub with a post gen 3 one. I'm sure the answer is yes but given the cost and how long I keep these things I figure doesn't hurt to triple check. 

Have 4 Sonos ports as part of a media system wired to play throughout the house. Music Appears to playing from the Sonos app, yet no sound in the house. All ports and plugs have been checked and reset. They are green, so all appears properly connected. Any suggestions to fix?

I have A LG 65 C2 two years old it is connected to Sonos ARC,satellites and sub,there is also an older Surround system in the rack.The Sonos soundbar is connected to the TV with HDMI cable to the ARC input on the TV,the old system is connected to the TV with optical cable .When I choose the optical output instead of the HDMI ARC on the TV the sonos system goes silent and the optical is also dead.To change this i have to physically remove the HDMI cable between the TV and the Sonos,then I can listen to the old system through the optical cable. Any solutions ?

Hi there, everytime I turn on my sonos ace, usually there is a blue light which allows me to know that it is on. However, these past few days, when I turn on my headphone, the light just blink blue once and it does not stay there. This makes it difficult for me to know whether my headphone is on or off. if you guys have any solutions, please let me know.  Thank you

My Sonos 1 just suddenly quit. I tried reconnecting to the WiFi network it worked on last week, but it can’t see the Network. I tried Factory reset, I tried “update network”, I tried “set up new  system” and even connected the Sonos directly to the router via ethernet - and the Sonos still sees no network. Is the Sonos broken ?  Is there a remedy ?

I have 2 home networks, the family network (call it “Fam”) and an IoT network (call it “Dev”). The Sonos devices are on the IoT, as are my Apple HomePods (which I use for voice control). The family’s iPhones are on the family network. The two networks can see and address one another, although they are on different netblocks. At the moment there is no firewall between the two networks.Devices on Fam can see the Sonos speakers. For instance, I can ping them from my computer. But I cannot AirPlay to them, and they do not show up on in the Sonos app. I cannot control them from Siri on the Fam device. If I switch the device to Dev, it can see the Sonos devices, identify them in AirPlay, and control them.It used to work across networks until I switched the Fam network to a new device. The biggest relevant difference I can see is the new Fam network requires a new netblock. So my guess is that AirPlay and other device discovery is just using the broadcast IP on the netblock to find the Sonos

I have a Sonos one but the app can no longer detect it. Purchased a roam in the summer and can connect to this. Seems I had a ‘gold’ app now converted back to a ‘black’ one - I’m very confused. Don’t really want separate apps for each Sonos device. can anyone offer any advice? 

Currently have an Arc with a pair of Symfonisk bookshelf speakers as surrounds. Now with the Arc Ultra out, I'm need help deciding what to upgrade.Do I upgrade the Arc to the Arc Ultra and keep the Symfonisks as surrounds?Or do I upgrade the Symfonisk speakers to Era 300s, and keep the Arc?It's about the same amount of money. I listen to quite a bit of music with this setup (other Sonos speakers throughout the home). I'm not sure if I consume Atmos content, not sure my TV can pass it through the arc channel.What would you do?

Am I the only one who has had enough of Sonos. Used the products for years but now I feel like it’s an expensive piece of junk that’s ruined my music playlist. Not reliable, constantly crashing etc.  Tried everything mentioned on forums and today I see an article that they have fixed 90% of the app, what a load of crap that is. 😂

Morning allI’m not sure if this is an extreme use case, but please hear me out: I have a turntable and streamer+DAC combination connected to a headphone/pre-amp analog-in, which in turn has analog outputs to a Sonos Port. This is fine for listening to either digital or analog sourced music through my Sonos speakers, wherever they may be.However, I also have a set of passive speakers connected to monobloc amps (1 amp per speaker, L&R) and I was wondering if I connected my monobloc’s to a Sonos Port (potentially one Port for each monobloc), could I in theory send an audio signal from the Sonos Port connected to my headphone/pre-amp, wirelessly to the Port’s connected to the monobloc’s, these Port’s acting as a preamplifier to the monobloc’s, thereby allowing my passive speakers to effectively be active speakers, but of somewhat higher quality than a Sonos smart speaker?I am of course presuming that the music signal is at least CD quality/lossless and not compressed and that the Sonos

I have set the home theatre with SONOS ARC+SUB gen 3+ two ERA 100 rear surround speakers.ARC is hooked up by ethernet cable, the rest wirelessThe proble is the surround speakers has the tendency to oscillate the sound during sound changes or frames changing during film reproductionHave any one experienced this problem ? and is possible to correct it?regards

I’m setting up a Play 1 on a brand new network using the Sonos 2 app.  All of the steps seem to complete (chime, joining the temporary network, etc) then the “finalizing connection” screen appears with the bouncing dots.  I’ve waited 20+ minutes and nothing has changed.  Do I start over?  what’s the hangup?

For my home theater centered on a Beam, I recently ditched my Play 3s to go to a set of in-ceiling 8” Sonos Architecturual speakers with a Sonos Amp. I have everything connect correctly but the surrounds are not nearly as strong as before. Any advice?

How can I add my partners Apple and Amazon playlists to my Sonos account

Hi, I just bought the Sonos multiroom speakers Five and Era300. I am having issues with the connection. The setup worked fine, I was able to connect both speakers and initially the music is running in both rooms, but then sometimes one room will lose contact and just stop playing the music. And without me doing anything it will start playing again, going on and off... it's so annoying.Also, there is a latence in how quickly the system reacts to f.ex. me regulating the volume through my mobile, or pausing the music etc.My husband has a One Plus mobile, he isn't experiencing the same issues, it runs smoothly on his phone. Is there anything I can do? Help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I have Sonos S2 Desktop App for Windows 80.1 55014 installed, Apparently, 81.1 was introduced on Oct 29th. Sonos now will not let me update my local music library without first updating to the new software. The option to “Update Music Library Now” is simply greyed out (and so are other options such as “Music Library Settings”). This was always an issue as when I updated from 79.1 to 80.1 (which then precipitated the Error 913 problem).I spent ½ hour with Sonos Help Desk and the answer is too bad, you have no choice!Now at least with the Mobile App there is the choice not to download automatic updateSo questions:Does anyone know if you can update library without updating firmware? Does anyone have issues with the new firmware?Thanks 

My Sonos speakers keeps cutting out the last 5-10 seconds every few tracks.All the speakers are on ethernet (not on wifi) Every few tracks it cuts out the last 5-10 seconds The tracks seem to keep playing silently and when it reaches the end it starts playing the next track as expected All the tracks are stored on my local NAS (not using streaming services) It has only been happening for me over the past few days I have these speakers:     Play:1 (x4)  &  Play:One SL  (x2) Running the controller app on my mac laptop (Version 16.4.2) Router has been rebooted recentlyI finally thought I was back to a usable system now that the compilations error has been fixed. But now this has snuck in.      Is Sonos aware of this problem?Does anyone have a solution? 

Our Sonos beam has been working fine,  we added some usb lights and it seems to stop it working. Anyone else had this. 

Hi. I'm just looking for some suggestions for a cost effective upgrade on my living room/media set up. At the moment I have a Playbar, Sub V2 and two Play:1s for surround. I've managed to find an original Arc discounted to about £575 which seems good value. Would there be a better suggestion to start upgrading the system above? Which components should I prioritise for most noticeable benefit? Thanks in advance.
