I connected by Bluetooth Ace to our Sony smart TV. Excellent sound no lip sync problem. To get to iPad I shut Ace off, turn iPad blue tooth on and Ace back on to listen to music. How can I get back to listen TV without going into TV settings?
Hi
Welcome to the Sonos Community!
The “correct” way to reinstate a Bluetooth connection to device already paired is to use that device’s controls to re-establish the connection.
Ace will reconnect at power-on, of course, but also connects to the last device successfully connected to, which would be your iPad.
So, I think the best course of action would be to activate Bluetooth Multipoint, as mentioned on our Pair your Bluetooth device with Sonos Ace help page:
Connect to two devices simultaneously
Sonos Ace supports Bluetooth multipoint, meaning it can maintain connections to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. This setting is disabled by default, but you can enable it in the Sonos app after Sonos Ace has been set up and registered.
To enable Bluetooth multipoint:
- Go to the Settings menu and select your Sonos Ace under the Headphones section.
- Under Bluetooth, enable Multipoint
When Sonos Ace is connected to two devices, you can play audio from either one. To switch audio playback, pause the audio from one device and start audio on the other.
Please note the last sentence - it is important that the audio stops on the first device, otherwise the headphones will not play from the second. And vice versa.
I hope this helps.
