How do we get a class action suit going? 

Hi there, I am new to Sonos having picked up a couple of s/h Play:1s with which I am very impressed. I decided to purchase a new Roam 2 as I liked the idea of using the voice functions etc. Last night I set an alarm for this morning and it didn’t go off. I have checked in the app and it is there set correctly and I have battery save turned off. I noticed that the lights were off on the unit and it wasn’t responding to voice commands. During the day I can see that it enters sleep mode with the lights off and non-responsive to voice. My question is, how does it work as an alarm if it goes into unresponsive mode? Am I missing something obvious?

 A few months ago (post the big app update) I followed some advice here to get Swiss Jazz radio working again.This was basically to add a custom URL to TuneIn for the station, favourite it, then browse to TuneIn →  Favourites in the Sonos app and add it to Sonos Favourites. This worked and all was well. Now, this doesn’t work, I can click the link for the station in the Sonos app and it will not play. Other (predefined) stations work on tuneIn so I know the authorisation is okay. I’ve gone back through the steps I followed previously and can’t get it to work, two issues:Attempting to Favourite the station in the TuneIn app whilst its playing does not work, it asks for the name but does not save it - if I go Library the count against Favourites is 0. If I enter that section, there’s nothing there. Even if that did work, I can’t browse TuneIn favourites in the Sonos app, the section is not there under the TuneIn provider. Proven this by adding a predefuined station as a favourite in Tune

I recently came across a problem where I can’t connect a gen2 SUB to my stereo pair of Sonos Ones. App says I need a compatible speaker and only lists all the soundbars as being compatible. In the past I’ve had no issues connecting gen1,2 and 3 SUBS to a pair of Ones and also a pair of Play1s. Has something changed that I’m not aware of and can now only be connected to a soundbar? Does anyone have any experience with connecting Sonos Amp:connect devices to Meraki switches? I have just installed four Meraki switches, replacing some old Netgear switches. One switch acts as the core switch and the three other switches are connected via trunk ports. RSTP is enabled, core switch has a priority of 0, other switches are set to 12288, 20480, and 28672. STP guard is not enabled on ports. There are approx 14 Sonos Amp devices on the network with the majority plugged into one of downstream switches. The sonos devices were producing a number of bdpu and loop issues so we disabled the wireless on each sonos device as there is ample cabling. We have also now plugged in the majority of sonos devices into the core switch. We are no longer seeing bdpu or loop alerts but the devices are intermittently disappearing from the sonos controller s1 app (from the rooms view on the app). I have also noticed that I'm unable to ping the devices when this happens but then they suddenly come

Well, this is not a first.... is it. The latest sonos app does now not work for Adroid "Says there is a bug" and won't load. Wait for the app to be updated. ????…Also, the NAS drive , in either IOS or Android has not been fixed..... still no access !!!!!An email to say all is well....... unfortunately it is NOT. I despair... it really is a joke. 😡SONOS… you really need to get a grip. !!!

Cannot use SONOS APP in my new iphone. Tried login SONOS APP with my acount , with my partner acount, tried create new acount… reset  the speakers, update the app, unpluge and plug again ….still  CAN NOT find my SONOS speakers. But my old phone still working. Any idea or sugestions, please?

I have read enough recent Community posts about library indexing issues to know I am not alone in continuing to experience NAS drive synching problems following the app update debacle in May.  The Sonos bug fix techs published a simple Trello based planning tool in August.  Is a consolidated list available of how these bugs are materializing in detail?  I ask because I spent over an hour today with a member of the Sonos first line support team who seemed confident that basic steps we took in a screen-sharing session to fix one of my issues would solve a problem.  Specifically, I am intentionally deleting albums from my NAS music database but they are still available in my Sonos Library long after re-indexing.  The support session failed to fix the problem so both I and Sonos’s amiable support staffer wasted time on an issue that I now presume is still listed on a detailed bug fix to-do list somewhere?    I ask this because if my specific bug “symptoms” had been listed in a controlled C

I am deeply relieved to see Search for local Music library return to the mobile Sonos app for Android, since i have a large-ish music library on a NAS.Additionally, I am intrigued after this latest update to see a playlist show up in the mobile app that was never there before. It was created in Windows Media player.This is...interesting...to me, since one of the reasons I invested in Sonos was a feature that never came to fruition: the *advertised* ability to import playlists from iTunes. This feature *never* worked for iTunes on Windows. Perhaps it did for iTunes on Mac, but I don’t own a Mac. Suddenly, importing a playlist from Windows Media works, without me even trying? I have a ZP80 and a ZP90 which both drop the signal when I’m using the RCA outputs. Both work fine when using the COAX output. I believe this is because the COAX out bypasses the Sonos DAC and instead uses the DAC in my amplifier. My problem is, I want to use one of these with an amp that doesn’t have a DAC (or a COAX input). So, my question is, is there some kind of software update (or reset) that will get these old ZPs working through the RCA outs? I use the S1 controller and have mostly older Sonos gear that all works fine on S1.Alternatively, should I buy an external DAC that I can control from my ZP (use the COAX or Digital outputs) and plug the DAC into my amp using RCA outputs? Or would this be throwing good money away on old gear?  Thank you,Scott

Since the last update I have a couple of my Amps that will no longer detect the Sonos speakers. I have factory reset the Amp but still no joy.I have also swapped speakers from amps that are detecting and still unable to trueplay.Anyone else see this?

I am sure this must have been done to death but is there a reason — that is, we do it this way because “x” — why Sonos doesn’t have a soft power cycle option in its apps? We all know for myriad wifi issues on any networked device power cycling is a go-to, but speaking for anyone who has more than a couple of bookshelf-type speakers, this is a real pain for Sonos. For those where the wall plug is concealed, the power cables are really jammed in. (And to the Reddit guy: no, I do not want to flip breakers for half the house.)I am thinking of exactly the same implementation as Eero has, and Apple’s AirPort range also had.This seems so obvious I am wondering what I am missing? Is it a kind of communist thing that putting the option there would reveal that Sonos knew there was a use-case?

HiI have a beam gen2 in the tv room, 1 move in the kitchen and 2 one sl in the living room.It is not possible to cast music in the all house unless i UNPAIR the 2 one sl. It works either with move + 2 sl paired or beam + move. When I unpair the 2 one sl, i can cast beam+move+2 one sl   Do you know if there is a solution to that?Thanks 

Im buying a complete Sonos home theater system and is choosing between below alternatives. Both will cost me roughly the same so I need som input on what you think I should doAlternative 1: Brand new Arc Ultra, Sub4, and two Era 100s as surroundsAlternative 2: Used regular Arc, used Sub gen 3, and two brand new Era 300s as surrounds.So basically the question is old Arc with Era 300s as surrounds OR new Arc ultra with Era 100s as surrounds. I will have a Sub either way

My music library is on a USB flash drive plugged into my TP-Link router. Speaker system comprises two pairs of Ones and one pair of Era 300s. I cannot play anything from the music library on just the Eras. Music library plays fine on both of the One pairs. I can get the Eras to play from the library only if I’m already listening on the Ones and then group in the Eras. All external streaming services and Airplay from my phone work absolutely fine on the Eras & they sound perfect. When I try to play direct from the music library to the Eras, the Sonos app says “Content is unavailable”. I’ve done a factory reset on the Eras and this hasn’t helped. I’m hoping you can though!

In my restaurant we have Sonos Era 100 speakers set up. We pay for premium Pandora and somehow still get ads after every couple songs. Its extremely irritating. How can I fix this? We have reinstalled Pandora multiple times and reconnected it to the premium account. No idea what to do next.

I wasn’t able to resolve the Error 1000 through the phone. But updating the system through my Mac iOS app was a breeze. I managed to easily update and now the error is resolved. Hope this will help others who are frustrated with the app. Hope Sonos gets back to its flawless app again. The new app is more of a curse than a boon. 

Most songs that I try to play on my Sonos (two Play:1’s set up as a Stereo pair and a Play:3 plugged in to a Google Nest wifi via ethernet) cut out for the last 10-20 seconds, and it’s just silence until the next song starts. After two one-hour phone calls with Sonos and another one with Verizon, I don’t think it is a network issue… the Sonos rep first tried to tell me that the Verizon “modem/router” was “causing interference” and that I had to put it into “bridge mode” and then after a long time on the phone with Verizon we realized that it was just an ONT box with no router, so there was nothing to put into bridge mode. Then after another hour of support with Sonos they asked me to plug in a speaker via ethernet, which I did, and which still did not fix the issue. Anyone else seeing this? I’m mostly trying to play stuff locally in my music library but it also happens on streaming songs (didn’t seem to happen with Sonos Radio, but I think radio is treated differently since there’s not

My app keeps requesting me to sign in as the owner of my equipment. I sign-in and it keeps saying I need to sign in however, if I click the face at the top right it states I’m signed in. App issue or… driving me crazy!! 

Suite à un pb de mon sonos roam observé depuis quelques semaines qui s’éteignait alors qu’il était branché sur son socle induction Sonos en permanence (obligé de le rebrancher à un autre cable pour le “réveiller”), je l’ai réinitialisé à distance avec le SAV Sonos qui a fait le diagnostic en ligne et vérifié que l’état de la batterie était “parfait’. En rentrant de congés il y a quelques jours mon Sonos est éteint et même problème que tous les posts précédents depuis juin. Definitely planning to buy dual subs one day. And i had an product idea for you guys. Dear Sonos. Lets name it Sub Ultra (Gen1) . Idea would be that it would fill the precious needs of bassheads and bigger rooms with powerful and low bass. Becayse the arc ultra allready sounds so friking big, loud and good then i feel like the sub cant keep up woth it to the end. And dont get me wrong. Sub is awesome allready. And fits well everywhere with its size and design. But hear me out….. SUB ULTRAVisually Same design as regular sub gen 3 and 4. But….. Bigger. Same dual woofer system but…..instead of dual 8 inches it would be dual 10inches… So not overkill so it would not get too heavy and big but would maybe be possible to produce 20hz as its lowest frequencies.
