Has any one seen a rapid loss of charge while the speaker is left on the wireless charger but not turned off. My experience is that the speaker battery will go to zero in under 3 hours is the wireless charger essentially drawing power?

Hello
I am sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with your Sonos Roam 2 not charging properly.
Have you tried to do a reboot on the Sonos Roam 2?
I would suggest you to try charging with the USB-C port, see if that makes a difference. Please have a look at our Support Article Charging Sonos Roam products and more specifically the Power adapter requirements for charging Sonos Roam.
I would also recommend contacting our Support Team as this is definitely not the expected behavior. They have tools at their disposal to provide you with information and advice, specific to your system and what it reports.
I hope this helps.
I have done all of your recommendations including talking to customer support who in fairness are only one question deep
I either have two defective chargers (which is crazy) or your basic selling proposition is flawed Maybe this is a design problem
i love the speakers but I would also would love to leave them on wireless chargers that work
I found that I often confused the ‘top’ of the Roam with the ‘bottom’, where the charging occurs. Since I figured that out, I’ve had no issues with the base connected to an appropriate USB charger. Of course, I could always connect directly to the USB C port on the device.
Thanks for the input. But I was very careful so that did not happen. I tested the charging and discharging cycles for two speakers over a period of several days. The speakers charge and discharge more or less per the manual when we use a USB cable. But when they are placed on the wireless charger they lose charge at exactly the same rate as when the speaker is standing alone.
in a nutshell the chargers do not charge the speakers. Ironically if you leave the speaker off the charger it will turn itself off if not being used saving its charge. With the charger it keeps the speaker on line and the speaker discharges at the rate of 10% per hour.
So is this a case of two defective chargers or a basic product design issue. I really hope it is the former. I love the product and the idea of nursing the wireless chargers to at least maintain the charge is super.
