Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I recently migrated my music library to Plex, which I thought was going to be nice because access to my music library is available as a “Music Service” in the Sonos S1 controller.I have some very large smart playlists (thousands of tracks).  I ran into the “20 second timeout” issue that Sonos S1 apparently has when loading a playlist.  If I cut my smart playlist roughly in half, it loads fine, so I’m pretty sure it’s the timeout issue that’s causing the problem.  I don’t think that it’s related to the length of the playlist, as I have no problem going into my music library and shuffling the entire library, which is many many more songs than what I’m currently trying to load from Plex.I was wondering if anyone that has experience with the SonoPhone app knows how it handles very large Plex playlists?

I have recently changed router and have gone through the pain of having to factory reset 4 x Play 1 and a Soundbar. The Play 3 will not factory reset but I will figure that out. When I reset the Port using the SONSO App it has been added to a new system rather than adding it to the one with the Play 1s and Play bar, even though it is on the same wi-fi network. Resetting the port was a painful process as it is buried at the back of a cabinet. Is there a way to move the Port from one system to another? I have had SONOS for over 11 years and I am seriously close to getting rid of it.

Had two Era 100 Pro’s installed today but the installer and I cannot figure out how to get them working properly for surround sound. Can I use a PoE switch w/o the uplink OR do I have to use PoE Injectors and a switch combo to get the Pros into wireless mode? The installed had a 65W 5-Port GB switch with 802.3af/at PoE+ ports, 30W max per Port 65W total for all PoE+ ports. Thanks 

This Christmas, many dads will unwrap a shiny new Sonos system, expecting premium sound and seamless functionality to elevate their music experience. But for those in the know, it might not be the gift it once promised to be. The closed ecosystem, plagued by frustrating app issues and missing features, has left many Sonos users feeling like they're trapped in an endless loop of troubleshooting instead of enjoying their music. The excitement of unboxing soon turns into hours spent wrestling with buggy software, connectivity hiccups, and a system that doesn't give users the freedom to customize or fix it themselves. So, to all the dads unwrapping Sonos this year: we feel for you. Here's hoping that in the future, Sonos will choose to listen to its users, embrace openness, and make next Christmas one to truly celebrate. For now, enjoy the sound—if you can get itto work.

Is there a way to use a Sonos Move (or any other SONOS speaker) with a wireless headset that communicates via a USB drive to a battery pack for use teaching fitness classes?

As it stands I am still missing a large number of Sonos custom playlists on my Android device. I have an Apple device and can see all of the playlists within the app on this device. I can also see all of the playlists within the Windows desktop app. The issue is related to the Android version of the app. Has anyone else come across this or found a resolution? My only work-around which actually didn't work was to use the windows desktop app, and add the missing playlists as Favourites. This shows the name of the playlist on my Android device but does not play the songs within it.  Does anyone know if a fix for this is even on the road map? Or do I have to just use an IOS device to play SONOS content comfortably? This is really frustrating!! 

Feature request:From today’s firmware update on my system….When an update fails, is it possible to include the name of the device that failed? When I went back, an hour later, to run it a second time, it told me one of my Subs hadn’t updated properly, and I needed to run the update process again, which I did, and was successful. So apparently there is some data existing that identifies which device didn’t update properly, or it wouldn’t have shown me the Sub needed updating. All I’m asking is to show that data at the ‘update failed’ time, in addition to the current ‘this device needs updating’ time. If it matters to anyone, I did run a diagnostic after the failure part. But not one after the success, since I’m not sure it would have been helpful. 

I have a stereo pair of Ones grouped into a room with a Sub Gen 3. When I start a new track / stream manually from the Sonos app, or from Alexa, Amazon Music or Plex the track starts playing on all speakers, then about 1-2 seconds in the Sub stops whilst other speakers continue. The Sub then starts playing again about 5 seconds later for 3-5 seconds then cuts out again for a similar period. After approx 25 seconds the sub plays as expected. This only happens when staring a new stream from somewhere. Once the stream is playing then the Sub maintains its connection ok, so symptomatic of a failure to buffer audio data successfully. I tried switching all 11 of my Sonos devices off Sonos Net, assigning static IPs, factory resetting the Sub, joining in different groups. Even using the Sub on its own exhibits the same behaviour. The speaker is approx 4ft from a mesh network node, so I'd feel 95% sure that this is a Sonos problem rather than anything to do with my network.

Does anybody have any experience with this enclosure/mount for the Era 100?  I would miss access to the touch controls, but it looks like a neat way to make the speaker unobtrusive.I’m curious about the sound quality of the Era 100s vs. the Amp with the in ceiling speakers.

I have been messing around with various configurations for connections with my Sonos amp and would the outcomes experiences and see what other users have done.My Current Setup:Sonos amp Project Debut EVO 2 Schitt Mani 2 phono Pre Amp  Tangent CDII RCA switch box to feed both the Evo & Tangent in via the RCA line in on the AMP. B&W 606 Speakers (These occasionally are set as surrounds for an ARC which is my main TV sound output, but are predominantly for music use only)This has been my setup for the last few years and i was very happy. However, I recently upgraded to the Project EVO with the Schitt Mani 2 from a Project T1 phono with built in pre amp. When i did this  I found I had to adjust the line level down to 8 get the best sound from the turntable, but would need to increase it back to level 10 for the CDII. Much as I love streaming I still enjoy active listening on physical formats so want to

Has anyone had luck adding their music library from a Synology NAS with DSM 7+ to a S1 configuration?  After Hours with L2 support they finally told me, oh it wont work with DSM 7, you may want to downgrade back to DSM6. I just want to see if anyone out there has been able to add the music library under these conditions.Thank you, Mike

Hi, I’m really hoping someone can help as this is driving me crazy! I have a very simple setup in my office. Internet comes into my office into a TP-link AX300 router and then use a deco XE75 pro mesh network for the wireless. Wireless is turned off of the TP-link AX300 and the Deco is in wifi router mode. I have a single sonos era 100, wirelessly connected to the primary deco in the same office, only a few metres away. Signal is therefore very strong. The problem is that spotify keep randomly pausing for 5-10 seconds and then restarting. This originally started with a sonos one gen 2 towards the end of last year. I decided to sell and replace with the sonos era 100 and all was well for a couple of months but the same problem has repeated itself over the last week.Updates are up to date on the Deco mesh and on the sonos era 100. I’ve tried reading around this for so long and toyed with so many different settings/options that I honestly don’t know w

Updated Sonos iOS app to 80.15.04 and did the system update. After system update completed successfully, the system is no longer found on the Sonos iOS app. Tested it on an iPad with previous version of Sonos app and that doesn't work either. However, I am able to manage my system using the Windows app without any problems. Checked privacy settings on my iPhone for Sonos app and network, bluetooth and local network were allowed.Rebooting phone did not make any difference. iOS version 18.2.1. Rebooting router didn't help either. Reinstalling the app did work. After the wizard it chose to connect to existing system and it worked instantly, so it's probably something with permissions for the app.

Hi Sonos Community,I’m having an issue with my Sonos Arc when streaming Dolby Atmos content via my Apple TV 4K. The audio intermittently drops out for 1-2 seconds during playback, especially on Netflix and Disney+.Setup Details:Soundbar: Sonos Arc Streaming Device: Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen) TV: LG CX OLED Connection: eARC enabled with HDMI 2.1 cable Network: Strong Wi-Fi connection with no noticeable interruptionsTroubleshooting Steps Tried:Ensured all devices are running the latest firmware and software versions. Replaced the HDMI cable with a certified Ultra High-Speed cable. Adjusted Apple TV audio settings between “Auto” and “PCM” modes. Reset both the Sonos Arc and Apple TV, but the issue persists.Questions:Is this a known issue with the Sonos Arc

So I have a Move 2 for my garage home gym and I’m looking to add a pair of Era 100s and a sub mini to the gym for music only. I know I can’t pair the Move 2 in stereo with the 100s and sub mini but can I pair the 100s, sub mini and move 2 all on the app to play the same music at the same time? I don’t need left or right stereo setup, I just want more sound with some bass for working out. I love the Move 2 but I want more but I want to make sure they can all be paired on the app and play together at the same time. 

I have a pretty extensive Sonos system throughout my home.  The sound quality and volume on a gen 1 play 5 has deteriorated lately.  Lower volume and distorted sound. I performed a hard reset with no improvement.  After the reset, I could not trueplay tune it as it repeatedly noted an error msg. about background noice.  There was no background noise. I tried a dozen times, no success. I’ve read about various failures of this speaker and whether or not a fix is available. I’d appreciate any advice on a solution, or is this expensive speaker now a brick? i think I might have sent this speaker back to Sonos once before when it was nearly new for the same or another issue, not sure. Thanks, Mike

I have S1 on a new M4 Mac Mini running MacOS 15.2 with music library on an SSD - Sonos will not recognise the library. I’ve been using Sonos for 15 years on various Macs fairly successfully, but if this isn’t going to work with my new environment I'm going to get rid of all my Sonos equipment and live a happy life. Anybody????

Hello! I use my Arc Ultra connected to my eARC BenQ TK710 dolby atmos capable projector. I use an ATV4K 2022 edition. Very often whenever I want to stream Atmos content on any platform I get no audio at all! The Sonos app shows no audio! If I force the ATV4K to play DD5.1 then it works again! Or If I leave it on Auto, Atmos on then the 5.1 content reads Stereo PCM on the Sonos app. Is this happening to you? I have changed cables..I am using Ruipro 8K fiber optic cables 25 ft the green ones and still the same issue. I have to disconnect the Arc from power and plug it back in for it to work again with Atmos.

I am looking to potentially connect  2 beam sound bars to one TV is there a viable way to do it?I was going to use an HDMI splitter into the Earc and told that may or may not work.Any feedback is welcome as it’s not my area of expertise.thank you

What is the best way to connect a Port so I can feed my CD player, turntable and Sonos music into my hi-fi system AND link these sources to other Sonos speakers in the house?

Hi, I’m looking to use BT headphones by connecting my Port to a BT transmitter. I’m not sure if there is a cable to do this or if I need to buy a converter? My transmitter has a digital optical Input but the Port looks like a Coax Output. This is new to me so trying to avoid ordering the wrong part.Any product links appreciated.

Hi, I have just submitted two support diagnostic reports, ********** and ***********, but the support is not opened during the weekend so I try here instead. The reports log situations where I have a dropout at one of the speakers (named Kök) during the last minute and that remained for about 10-15 seconds. I have had problems with my system for quite a while now and have tested a number of things all according the suggestions in the chat forums, i.e. Unplugged/rebooted router and Sonos device numbers of times Set fixed IPs for all Sonos devices and checked for duplicated IP-addresses Tested both Wireless client mode and SonosNet mode (and later case I got the dropouts on the wired speaker?) Use STP instead of RSTP Removed 5G frequencies and running on 2.4G only Checked the Wi-Fi conditions with Wi-Fi scanner during the dropouts and I can't se any issues

Hi ...I have an Audrino set up to play music from my wall box by connecting it via a ribbon cable from the digital keypad. At the moment it works fine but it is only connected to a set of pc speakers through the audrino output using a 3.5mm jack plug … I have a small spare Acer pc that will fit into the wall box easily … the PC has a 3.5mm jack for microphone and also for head phones.. Is it possible to connect the audrino using a 3.5mm cable to the PC, then use the Wifi on the PC to connect to the WIFI on my Sonos system
