Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Sonos Roam used to work seamlessly, but some months ago, I started having issues connecting to it from my laptop. Immediately after connecting it would just disconnect. Not sure why but it renders it unusable for when I need it to connect to my laptop.

When watching movies the noise and music is way too loud relative to the dialogue. I have enhanced speech dialogue on as well as night mode and ambient mode. I’ve tried lowering the max volume and then I just can’t hear the dialogue. I’ve also lowered the bass all the way. Any suggestions? I have the play bar and Sonos one speakers 

Good morning! I have a 75" TV, a mini sub and an arc ultra in my room. All that equipment that I mentioned is in front of my bed. Now I bought 2, it was 300 to put them on the dry wall of my bed about 3' away From my head, the rasks I bought for the wall are annoying. My question is whether the 2 era 300s have to face the wall where the TV, arc ultra and sub mini or in direction to my head?

This has happened several times over the last 6 months. The iOS app will work as expected for about one week and then it will open the splash screen, freeze and then clear. I end up deleting the app and then download it again and it works for another week or so and then I do the dance all over again. Easy enough to join the existing system but a pain in the rear to have to do it continually just to use our whole home system. It wasn’t cheap to install but was supposed to be a great system and it was until lately. Am I stuck with having to delete and download weekly or does anyone have any recommendations?

My Sons Ace no longer activates Siri. It’s not an issue with my phone as have now replaced my phone to a new iPhone 16 and the issue remains. Long pressing the sound control button on the ace does nothing. I’ve spent ages on with Sonos customer services (who were trying to be helpful to be fair) but to no avail. I’ve now very disappointingly received the below email from Sonos which I find unacceptable. Anyone else had this issue?   from Sonos: Hello Matthew, I hope this email finds you in good health. I'm sorry about the inconvenience with the Ace not activating Siri any more, I checked and this is actually not a Sonos Ace feature, it may be possible for it to activate by doing a long press in the ANC button, however, if you check the User's guide, there is nothing related to Siri and the Ace being compatible, that said, if it is not working now, we don't have troubleshooting steps for it since this is not part

Hi, I’ve been using Sonos for over 10 years with no problem, over the past 6 months I’ve been experiencing drop off from a pair of Sonos 1.  In the room affected I have 3 Sonos 1 and a hard wired Sonos boost, to try and resolve issues  ive reset both speakers back to factory, added a boost, upgraded my internet package to 500 meg had Sonos support dial in multiple times and checked all I.p addresses, no conflicts.  Weirdly the other speaker in the room isn’t affected, does anyone have a clue?This is literally last chance before I remove the system all together. 

When I tune to 4K/HDR content and/or content broadcasting in Dolby Atmos, I see monikers in the upper right corner of my LG OLED G4 that read “HDR” and “Dolby Atmos via sound bar”.Which device is delivering these badges to the TV? Is it the TV itself that is recognizing the video content for the “HD” logo and the Sonos is somehow confirming the content via eARC and sending the audio “Dolby Atmos via Sound Bar” badge? Just curious. I’ve seen a few other posts on this, but nothing very definitive.I have a setup that includes two Amps; both are wired - one directly to my core switch, and one to a switch in my bedroom which is in turn connected to the core switch.  Both are using different cable types, and I’ve swapped them out to known working cables to help eliminate that (they tested fine and connected at 2.5GbE for other devices with no errors).  Right now, they are on my old switch but I’m moving from a MikroTik setup over to a Ubiquiti setup.  I don’t use STP on the MikroTik - but the Ubiquiti use STP to prevent loops in the logical topology (I know I can turn it off, I’d like to not do so).The “Disable WiFi” option is greyed out for both of the Amps.  I can see link lights on the back of each Amp (flickering as data comes in/out); the switches report a 100 full-duplex connection.  Oddly, I don’t see DHCP via the wired interface for them at all - it’s strange, it’s as if they are connected physically, but the

Have a Sonos beam from 2/2019. All working great until now. New tv and new iPhone 16. Want to reconnect to Sonos app, which is now Sonos 2. Can’t finish set up dies with error 1,106 during update. any ideas?thanks 

I’m fed up of updating the app and it going wrong so normally leave it a while.   But this app update is being forced on me - basically blocked the use of the app for any of my many Sonos speakers.  

Sound drop outs with Sonos Arc and crackling. I bought my Sonos Arc a couple of years ago. It had this problem to begin with, however I changed the settings and unplugged everything including the wifi and then plugged everything back in and it has been working fine for about a year or so, however recently it has started happeneing again and I’m not sure why. I have done the same things as I did before however to no avail.  I’m hoping someone here can help me with this. Many Thanks. 

Like other users, I’ve been toiling with getting Sonos to index and use my local Music collection.  I finally ran across this article:https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/share-your-macos-music-folder-with-sonosI otherwise granted Sonos full disk access, and yet it still could not use “My Music Folder”.   This makes no sense.  Further, it makes no sense that to use my music collection, I’d have to go through yet another protocol (SMB) -- granted this works, and I’ll take it because it’s been a lot of trouble.But my question is why?  Why can’t Sonos simply access My Music Folder?   I even shared it, no luck.  SMB it is, for now, but this really shouldn’t be the solution for Sonos and Music on the same physical system.

Hi,I just replaced my Beam (Gen 2) by a Sonos Arc Ultra, in my home theatre system.But now, the Sub Gen 3 seems to be a lot less powerful.Before, with the Beam, when I pushed the Sub level adjustment to +2 or +3, i was able to balst the entire room… Now, even if I choose +8 on the Sub level adjustment, I feel it but very light. I can’t have the same “bass blast effect”.Obviously, I completely reinstalled the system in the App and reseted each element of my home theatre system when I installed the Arc Ultra (included x2 Era 100 at the back).Does anyone knows why this is happening (maybe someone at Sonos)...?Thanks a lot.

On my Arc Ultra, I reliably see when a track from Apple Music is lossless.  However, the same track in a different room (Paired Sonos Ones with Sub Mini) does not appear to be lossless.  I have adequate badwidth, and all apps/firmware are updated.  One of the One’s is hardwired to my router.  Not sure if that makes a difference either way.   I believe the speakers are connected wirelessly over Sonos Net, including the Arc Ultra.According to the latest message from Apple, my speakers should support lossless.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance.

Sonos will not work on my wifes Samsung in the same account. It can not find the system. All the Sonos speakers are on and it works fine on my iPhone. 

Is it normal that artwork doesn’t appear on the SONOS S2 headphone area, playing Bluetooth from Apple Music?  

Sorry if this has been asked/answered/discussed, but why on earth do that not allow the Ace to be used with Alexa.  To me it is a no brainer.There are so many examples of why this is a needed interface.  The Ace is a great noise cancelling headphone, but what if I have a timer going on my Alexa for my lunch to be ready, and I’m listening to music while I’m working with my Ace headphones on with noise cancelling going, now I can’t hear my timer go off.  This is a simplistic example of use case, yes, but nonetheless, this is one thing I think at this point Sonos has really missed the mark on with the Ace.

My Sonos Beam is connected to another HDMI Port (eArc Port).However, I quickly noticed that the picture was flashing back and forth - HDMI 1 (Chomecast) - black - HDMI 1 - No Signal - HDMI 1.....I also noticed, that most of the time, if I turn of CEC (which also does not let me control the TV (Sonos) volume anymore), this flashing usually stops a couple seconds after turning off CEC. If I turn CEC on again afterwards, it usually works for some time, until I randomly turn on my TV a couple hours later and its back to the same glitching again..Has anyone got an idea why this is happening? Its driving ne CRAZY. 

I have two sonos play 5 and three sonos play 1. None of these connect anymore, not to WiFi, not with ethernet cable. Have reset all speakers, routers, deleted system, different devices, reinstall app... The app finds the devices, but if i try to add them it eventually says to ensure that the power is on, and aborts the process. What to do?  Connecting these "easy install" devices has stolen hours of my life also before, but now i hit a wall. 

I cannot connect to Sveriges Radio P1 on my Sonos 1 based system. Any known issues?

Why does this app suck so bad ?? I swear it drops my system everytime it updates.   And I have a hard time reading ! Now after factory resetting for the 5th time it won’t connect to wifi.   So fn fustrsting 

I am installing my Sonos Era 300 stand. At step 3, I can’t seem to figure out how to install the washer far enough into the base so that the stand pole isn’t rather loose and unstable. Does anyone who has successfully installed the stand have any tips to make it stable?
