Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I love my Arc ultra despite sonos app going nuts every other hour. Yesterday i dusted it off and noticed this on speaker’s right side. i have a photo from two angles. It is not a bump because I baby my Sonos stuff… it looks like a excess piece of plastic. You can not feel it under the finger, lift it, nothing…Under naked eye it looks 4 times smaller. But it drives me insane!!!Your thoughts?Neven

At least once a week I am unable to use the search in the app. It appears as though it is going to search and then goes back to the Home Screen. Hi,I recently purchased two era 100’s to add to my Arc Ultra and Sub 4 as surrounds.One issue I’m experiencing is that with certain PCM/Stereo sources e.g. Skynews on YouTube it constantly tries to passthrough the audio to the surrounds but it is not consistent and I get on/off sounds which is actually very annoying. For the most part I do not have this issue and if I listen to France24 it does not try passthrough the audio to the surrounds.Why is there this inconsistency when listening to Stereo/PCM sources and is there any way to correct it other than having to disable the surrounds when listening to such sources? I would prefer and expect stereo sources to not try use the surrounds at all.Thanks.

So basically whenever I play Spotify on my Sonos speakers some features don’t work as intended.It will play the wrong songs and doesn’t let me disable the shuffle mode.I also can’t rewind or fast forward songs (the bar is greyed out)It’s as if it wouldn’t recognize I have Spotify Premium.This started happening only a few days ago when it had been working just fine before.Some help would be appreciated :)

I have a Sony ZX707 DAP which I want to use the 4.4mm balanced output, can I use a third party USB C to 4.4mm cable for Sonos Ace?

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is a 5-channel soundbar. It outputs sound corresponding to the L, C, R, Ls, Rs channels. If you add rear speakers such as the One SL to the soundbar, it will change to a 7.1 system. If you pair the rear speakers, the rear speakers will be in charge of the Lrs, Rrs channels. The soundbar will be in charge of L, C, R. The question is then. Will the Ls, Rs channels still be routed to the soundbar? Or will they be routed to the rear speakers?

I installed a new network for my Sonos system. All components are now on the new network, except for the Amp. In order to reinstall the A mp, Sonos asks for an 8 digit PIN from the AMP. My Amp doesn’t have an 8 digit PIN and Sonos support is worthless tp help. They keep telling me to enter the PIN, which I don’t have. Apparently when I bought my Amp it didn’t have a PIN, but now they do. What can I do? Without it, my external speakers don’t work any more.

Hi Sonos friends, I’m new here in this forum and have a question to you. I just bought an Arc Ultra and now I wonder what is the best way to enjoy my Tidal lossless music on it: 1. Using the Tidal service within the Sonos app (either on iPhone or on Android, I have both) and stream Tidal through the Sonos app to the Arc Ultra or 2., using the Tidal mobile app (either on iPhone or on Android) and stream lossless music via Bluetooth to the Arc Ultra? What type of connection support Dolby Atmos, if at all? Are there other or better ways to connect? My current installation in the room concerned: TV connected to Sonos Arc Ultra by Arc-HDMI (TV is too old for e-Arc), plus one Sonos Sub and a very fast Wifi / LAN), iPhone, iPad and Android phone with most recent OS and most recent flagship hardware, all have Tidal and Sonos apps installed. I am considering upgrading from the Playbar to the ARC Ultra. My current system consists of the following pieces: The Playbar, Gen 2 Sub, 2-One SL’s, and 2-Gen 2 Play 5’s. The Play 5”s are dedicated to a CD player. I want to upgrade to the ARC Ultra but have a few questions. Will the Gen 2 sub and One SL’s connect to the ARC Ultra and will I be able to use the TV volume control for the group? My plan is to use the One SL’s in surround mode until I upgrade to the ERA100 or ERA300 in the near future. If the One SL’s won’t work as I like, will the ERA’s volume be able to be controlled with the ARC Ultra?Thanks for any help. 

I have recently moved to Openreach Full Fibre broadband and have successful set up my Sonos Beam, Play 1’s and Sonos Play 3 to the new WiFi.However, when I play music through the system it plays for c.10mins and the drops off the network and takes every other device with it.The only solution to this is to reboot the router, which solves the issue, but if I play music again it simply shuts down again.I didn't have any issues  like this with my last broadband. Could this be a router issues as I have read that the router could be rubbish with this provider, but the fact that it works for a short period would suggest that the router is fit for purpose for a short time.I have read that an Amazon Eero could provide a solution, but is this not a simple signal booster?? Or should I get a better router and if so, any suggestions would be great.Any help of suggestions would be appreciated.

Is there a way to set up night sound to turn on and off at certain times of the day?

I have like 4 roams 6 ones 1 play at amplifier boost and there is not a week almost not one day when one or two or all have a problem or are not working. Interrupted music. Speaker don t appear. Speaker gone from the system. Voice control react with a big delay (up to ½ day. He suddenly starts talking). Tuning is gone or suddenly the connected speaker (home cinéma) are not synchronised  etc. Without any action music start in the middle of the night. Or suddenly volume goes up or down none of the functions are reacting. I have to shut down the electricity to stop it. I m in contact with sonos support almost every week. I have another system in another flat (much cheaper) and that is working perfectly or even better. My 20 year old Bose in my studio is working 10 x better. Regret to have invested so much money for poor quality (music that is)

Over several months the connection between my Sonos Connect and Roam and mobile phone has been dropping.  The connection would reasonably quickly resume with the various apps that had disappeared from my mobile refound.  Over time the loss of connectivity got worse with the Connect cutting out completely and showing an intermittent red flashing light.  I did a complete factory reset of everything with Sonos support over an hour.  This seemed to resolve the problem over a couple of days, but lo and behold it dropped the connection again and the red flashing light resumed.  I have done another factory reset and got it all playing again for 5 mins before it cut out again.  Am now getting very frustrated.  Any thoughts please?

all of a sudden i pick a playlist and it loads over and over.  the one on right now is 110 songs long but the queue shows about 43,000 songs.  i only have 13,000 songs in my entire library.  help?  and can anybody explain when these people are going to fix things like being able to use the alphabet to find items?

I have my alarm set to play a non-commercial, non-Sonos iHeart radio station (Classical KING FM Seattle 89.7), and it was working perfectly until recently. Now, instead of waking up to music, I’m forced to listen to a Sonos ad for the first minute before my station starts. This is completely unacceptable. I don’t want to start my day with a jarring Sonos commercial, especially since I’ve already purchased your speaker system. Isn’t that enough? Now you’re trying to push even more products or subscriptions on me through my alarm? Can’t a simple alarm function without corporate nonsense getting in the way? If this is the new norm, I’ll go back to an old-school radio and alarm clock instead.

i play Sonos thru the app on my iPhone and iPad using Apple Music.  Today we played one playlist for 5 hours.  Later when I tried to play an album off Apple Music, it came on and then stopped! Nothing I did would allow it to be heard.  On the app, it looked like it was playing but no sound.  I had changed nothing! When I brought up the system, all 5 speakers, they looked like they were playing but were grayed out sort of.  At the top, the system icon was yellow— I don’t remember if that is normally yellow.  I am so frustrated.  This happened on my phone, so I tried the app on my iPad.  Same! Ugh!!! And of course its710pm Saturday night!  I also tried to play Sonos Radio—same.  

Using YouTube Music, it has now been buggy for Sonos devices for several months, better than it was 3 months back, but not as good as it was 12 months ago.Today I notice that my queue grows by itself in increments of 200 &/or 300 till it gets to about 34400, then the system becomes even less responsive.Anyone else noticed or had this recently? 2nd issue, which has had some airtime by others, is the playlist length. Sonos will only show 100 songs in a 483 song playlist, and will then continue to repeat those 100 songs and never show the other 383. Any genuine technical/bug fix available?  2023 & before, these issues were non existent!

Albums and artists in my Apple Music library (on an iMac) are broken up in Sonos to multiple albums and artists with some tracks.  I thought that integrity in my library would be kept in Sonos.  What’s going on?

I searched the forum with no similar experiences. Am I the only one whose playlist editing disappeared with the new app? There isn’t even an Edit option anymore. I can’t add or delete individual songs for the current playlist. I can only replace the entire queue. It is the same for all music sources. This new version so far has done nothing better and many things much worse, this one  being the biggest for me so far. What gives? Anyone else experiencing this?

I had to contact technical support a few weeks ago as I just couldn’t get my Move to connect properly. It has always had issues dropping in and out from the app. Technical told me it was caused by the fact I had Sky wifi boosters which I just didn’t believe. So I decided to undertake a very expensive trial. I bought an Era 300 to replace the Move in the kitchen and guess what...it hasn’t missed a beat and constantly stays connected. So much for my boosters causing a network issue! I also have an Era 100 in the home office and that has been fine too.I was concerned after buying my Move just how temperamental it has been and particularly when Sonos brought out the Move 2 not too long after...makes me wonder if there has been an inherent issue with the original Move.I am now experiencing connectivity issues with my older Play 1. I have reset and readded the speaker and whilst the app acknowledges the speaker, it won’t control it. Constantly keep getting ‘unable to

I’ve seen this raised a million times but all the topics are closed. Scrobbling doesn’t happen live, it seems to happen whenever I switched from playing on my Sonos speakers via Spotify to another device (i.e. phone, laptop). If I play music only on my speakers for a week it will never scrobble anything. When it does scrobble if you switch away, as mentioned it only scrobbles the last 50 tracks, meaning I lose hundreds if not thousands of scrobbles a month. This may seem silly, but I’ve used last.fm since 2008 and I really enjoy keeping a proper back catalog of music throughout my life...I would really like this to work properly.

Hi. I have a pair of Era 300s and a sub mini.  They worked fine for about a month but now, whilst they play through the Sonos app (including with Spotify), if I play directly off Spotify app the left speaker doesn’t work. Weirdly I can control the volume of the right speaker using the left speaker controls, but the left speaker just won’t play music.  anyone had that problem or found a fix? Or any suggestions why this would be and what to do? i messed around with it yesterday to try to fix and had various configurations of speakers working and not working (including left not working on Sonos app and sub not working, so don’t want to make it worse again) right speaker was always working though), and in the end they all started working again, but this morning the left one is gone again.Very annoying.Thanks for any help you can offer.
