I have 2 Sonos era 100 connected to my Beam as surrounds and have added 2 more to the front. 
can I use my tv remote to control all as it only does the beam and surrounds?

No, the remote will only control the volume of the Home Theatre room, not any grouped room.

No. The extra front speakers are an additional “Grouped” “Room”. Only a TV surround Room can be controlled by a TV remote. Many listeners will feel that there is a voice sync issue created by the Grouped Room. You’ll need to decide for yourself.
