In the old app it was possible to toggle on/off trueplay on Android. Will the new app also get this feature. I found it quite useful.

Hi @J123456,

After checking with a colleague (as I don’t have an iPhone to Advanced Trueplay with), the ability to toggle Trueplay on and off is available in the app. If you’re not seeing it, then either the app isn’t full up to date or your speakers don’t have an Advanced Trueplay configuration on them.

If your Sonos App is up to date and the option isn’t showing, then check with an iOS device to see if you need to configure Trueplay again. If the iOS device shows that Trueplay is configured, then try and reset the Sonos App on the Android device by going to the Account icon in the top right of the app → App Preferences → Reset App.

I hope this helps!

Are you looking in the right place for the toggle? It should be there under:

Settings - Room/Speaker] - scroll down to Trueplay, under Sound - then toggle on/off.

I see it on my iPhone but its definitely not there on my Android phone (s25 ultra) already done a reset and that and everything up to date. It's never been there in the new app.

For some reason this screenshot was messing in my last message

Any update on this. Trueplay toggle in android. How hard can it be to put this back in?

Did you read the thread?

Yes Rhonny, I read the thread. There is no Trueplay toggle on Android under Settings - [Room/Speaker].

Turns out ChatGPT answered my question. The Trueplay toggle in Android was just another botched feature miss in the botched mobile app upgrade last year. Its coming but no ETA, apparently.

@ricksvoice

Apologies, I read what @Jamie A had said earlier in the thread as being an overall status. I just booted up my Samsung tablet and see you are right, that there is no Trueplay toggle. At least not on my Android. The latest speakers I have are the Arc and One SL. If speakers released after these have ‘advanced Tureplay configuration’ then that will be why I can’t see the toggle, and might explain why you can’t either. (According to your bio, the speaker you own is very old, so definitely won’t have any advanced configuration.)

@Rhonny - Oh, that info in my profile bio is way out of date. Now that I’ve updated it, you can appreciate my frustration in the lack of the TruePlay toggle feature.

Hi @ricksvoice and @Rhonny,

I’ve checked with the team and there is an issue raised regarding Android missing the Trueplay toggle, though this wasn’t because of the new app as it was raised after it was released. The workaround is to use an iOS device to toggle devices using Advanced Tuning (Quick Tuning it still available on the devices that support it while using Android).

I’ve tagged the thread with the relevant issue, but I don’t have any ETA to share on when it will be fixed. If I do hear anything then I’ll share it here.

Looking for same resolution - an option to On/Off trueplay for andriod.

Hoping sonos will prioritize this for upcoming releases !!

I have it now

I have it now

On your andriod  phone ? My app build number is 80.22.28..

May be I should try redo trueplay using iphone and check on andriod later.
