Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Finished basement and a challenge for the ERA 300’s as I cannot use stands (kids running around).   My question/concern is where I need to mount the 300’s will True Play fix any spacing issues with them mounted on opposite walls?   The attached is not 100% to scale, but close.  

Very recently bought an ERA 300. Signed up to YouTube music. Added the YT music app to Sonos. All was well until a few days ago. Then some YT music content became ‘greyed out’. Today no music available through YT music. Removed YT music from the Sonos app. Can’t re-add it via Add to Sonos through ‘Manage’. I’ve reinstalled the Sonos app on my mobile. Rebooted the mobile, wi-fi. Just keep getting Something went wrong. All help appreciated, please!

Hi, I recently replaced my One SL rears with era 300 and when using xbox series x in games, no sound comes from the rear era 300s.  Is this a bug? I can confirm audio testing setup through the xbox audio setup provides sound, as does the dolby atmos app, but when I play games they have no sound.  Setup is arc soundbar, a pair of era 300 rear, eARC enabled on hdmi 2.1, tv is a new Samsung s90d with earc enabled. Pass-through enabled on xbox (same issue though when not enabled as I recall pass-through is only for apps anyway, and not games). Sonos app shows audio source as Dolby Atmos on the room screen. Xbox, sonos, and tv firmware all up to date via autocheck. Had no issues with the One SLs when they were used to produce rear sound. Any help?

It has happened twice in different Sonos Roam units. A random banging super loud noise, incredibly scary and irritating. No buttons work when this happen.I see many have had this problem but sonos has not replied or taken it seriously.I am apalled at the lack of customer service, no wonder the stock is in the dump.

So I ran a diagnostic and Sonos tech team have confirmed that my Playbase WiFi card is faulty which seems to be a common issue for all Playbase’s which have now been discontinued. I understand my warranty has run out but Sonos should make good on manufacturing faulty products, particularly given the premium we pay in price. I’ve paid a premium for a supposedly premium Sonos product, it’s not unreasonable to expect that product to work for the purpose in which it is intended, for more than 10 years. This is not a warranty issue, but a fault in manufacturing issue. Sonos should stand behind its brand and replace all faulty products, similar to what a product recall would provide.  What resolution did Sonos offer those with the same issue? I’ve read threads where a replacement product was offered despite the warranty period expiring. I’ve been offered a measly 30% discount to buy a replacement which is going to cost thousands of dollars. I’ve requested my complaint to be escalated… imawai

Juste update last sonos firmware and sonos arc won’t connect with tv, this is third time and i’am done with products sonos.

Hi all,More issues with my Arc Ultra that I find very odd considering I never had this issue with the original Arc.The issue: Whenever I stream TV content from the Arc Ultra to other speakers in my house, that audio breaks up pretty consistently on the grouped speakers. I thought this was specific to my Apple TV 4K audio, but when I tested using the built-in apps on my LG OLED C1 TV, the same issue happens.However, when I stream audio from the Sonos App or using Apple Airplay, everything sounds and works fine. Could this possibly be due to an issue with the Arc Ultra?

The delay (latency) with my SONOS app recently became very long, around 15 seconds to change volume and streaming services. I am a long time user(!) with numerous devices which include Play 3. I was not convinced it occurred as a result of a recent app update. Although it happened around that time.Slightly unwittingly, Tech support provided a key insight. I offer it for others in a similar position:SONOS now requires a rapid exchange of data to coordinate mobile Apps and speakers and unsurprisingly that is really sensitive to the quality of the connection between the controlling speaker and the house router. So if you build a “Group” around a speaker that has a weak connection (low bandwidth/high latency), control of that group crumbles into a disorganised mess which takes a long time for the system to sort out. How to connect my Samsung QN75Q900 TV, Dish Hooper, and Arc Ultra/On the QN75Q900 TV box the eARC port is an “In” not an “Out” which I believe would allow me to connect to the ARC Ultra soundbar.  The Dish Hooper box only has HDMI which use as an output to connect to the QN75Q900 and there is an Optical (Digital Audio Out)

Hello community,Since the famous last update, I’m struggling with sudden stream interruptions. I’ve looked around on the web and found there is a command which shows and enables the user to select the region for the WiFi settings (see below). When I use this command on my speakers it shows that the region is set to USA (what a surprise …). I can select EU but a password is required; I tried the password for the system account without any success.http://aa.bb.cc.dd:1400/region.htm (region selection for Wi-Fi)I have a couple of questions:Why the WiFi region is not defined to EU in my case since we have to allow localization when you add new speakers? Does the selection of the region ultimately matter? Does anyone know the password to change the region?

Is the Sonos app. phone and/or desktop ever going to be improved in terms of usability?Using it feels like it was designed in like 1990 early computer days.  I can’t even change the order of my favorites, how they are viewed? There is no alphabetical, you can’t rearrange, you can’t group delete or remove playlists. On and on. I just don’t understand how this can be.  This great sound system, customized through out the phone, but I’m at the mercy of Sonos decided how a playlist should be organized?  There’s more.    Will it ever improve?I guess maybe there is some app that you can pay for with better features?Certainly not Spotify, because that is not compatible enough to control multiple speakers ( on a desktop). Wah. Complain, complain. 

I got the Sonos Line-In, USB-C to 3.5mm adapter. I wanted to use it as a normal adapter with my other audio equipment, as my phone lacks a 3.5mm port. Is it not supported (which would be kinda annoying), or is it a fault on my end?The Line-In would be used with an RCA (pluged in to the speaker) to AUX cable. Where it would act as a 3.5mm port, as I only have USB-C input to my phone.   Thanks 

I’m posting here out of sheer frustration with the current state of my Sonos system. Lately, every time I adjust the volume or change tracks via the Sonos app, there’s a noticeable delay – sometimes as long as 3-5 seconds! Dear all,I bought myself a sonos Ray to connect it to my Xgimi mogo 2 pro beamer. The beamer only has a HDMI output but i assumed i could use the sonos optical audio adapter to convert the HDMI signal to the optical port of the Sonos Ray. It doesn’t work. Could there be another solution for this problem? is there a way to convert the HDMI audio signal to optical so i can use the Ray? Thank you! 

Hey all, Looking for advice on arranging a new set up using a Connect:Amp Gen 2. I have a garage that I would like to have 2 indoor speakers, and 2 outdoor speakers (already there, Polk Atrium 4, all 8 Ohms). Some considerations:Would like to independently be able to control the max volume indoor vs outdoor, sound playing at the same time. Was planning on running the speaker line through 2x SVC100 to control the 2 pairs of speakers. I would prefer not to have the Connect:Amp located in the garage due to dust, insects, and cold weather. So was thinking of putting it about 50-60 feet away within the house.Based on that, I was thinking of the following:Run a Left & Right 14g wire 60 feet from Connect:Amp to a gang box. Splice the lines into 2 for each Left/Right, and feed them into each separate SVC100 Run 15 feet of 16g to each of the 2 speakers for each knob.Would this cause any issues or should I do something different. Hi all , I have a One SL and the power lead is about a foot too short to reach the plug socket !! Is it possible to cut the power cable and put a piece of twin core cable in ??? Long story short I had new flooring put down, I asked the fitter to make sure I could get the cable out but they put the cable under the door frame so I can't get the cable from under it because it's blocked by the flooring, luckily cable isn't trapped , think I've read that ​@Airgetlam has done this ? Might be wrong though ? Thanks 

My setup is as Follow . Sonos Arc , Sub 3 , 2 x era 300, ace and roam.tomorrow I Will Get arc Ultra . Must I Rest all Boxes or only the arc . Paaring Button and power cable and then is reset ?can I take the Same power cable from arc and use for arc Ultra ?  Many thanks 

The recent update on 2/19/25 took the low end bass from my gen 4 subs anyone else having this problem is anyone have a fix having no luck contacting Sonos

Songs in a Spotify library sometimes have different volume levels. Can Sonos somehow correct this difference in volume levels while playing a list ? 

Like these older topics, I’d love for there to be an option to set a favorite or playlist as the default, so I don’t need to find my phone or computer to get some tunes goin’. Rather than get told to go stick it by my speaker (getting the ›failed action‹ sound).Current behaviorWhen device hasn’t been used/is powered on > Press the play button > Nothing happens (Failed action sound plays) Expected behaviorBeing able to set one of my favorites as the default favorite in the apps. It would be greatest if a default can be set for each room/speaker-group, but one for all would also be better than the current implementation.After having set this:I turn on my speaker > Press the play button > It starts playing the default favorite (no other device needed). NotesIf there is a queue, I don’t want it to clear it. This could also be a nice feature to be able to set (e.g. clear queue after (x) minutes/hours), but personally the current queue behavior works for me.

I"m planing to have two Move (gen 1) connected as a stereo pair in my kitchen. I would like to have the option to have them both play in mono even when paired. The reason for this is that I would like to be able to move one of them around without ending up with only one channel. Also my placing of the speakers isn't ideal for stereo.Yes, I know I could group them instead but I don't want to risk messing up the perfectly adjusted volume level 😉If Sonos really wanted to do something smart here they would allow the option to automatically switch to mono when picked up from the charger, and then return to stereo when the speaker is returned to the charger. Other options could be implemented as well, like muting the other speaker when one leaves the charger.This feature would of course benefit Move gen 2 and Roam as well/RegardsM
