Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Has there been any official word from Sonos that acknowledges that they removed the alphabet scrolling ability within the with the disaster update last year (that is, the ability to scroll through a large library by jumping to the letters of the alphabet)?  And if so, has there been any indication on when (or even if) that previous functionality will return?

Airplaying from macOS to an Era 100 does not work. The speaker is discovered, but when I try to select it, I get a generic error saying “Could not connect to “<Speaker name>””.This is highly specific to macOS (laptops in my case, 3 of them) and the Era 100.Using Airplay on macOS to my other Sonos products (Port, Beam, Play:1) works without issue. Direct play from Spotify on macOS to the Era 100 works as well.Likewise using Airplay from an iPhone to the Era 100 works.Sonos chat support was unfortunately unable to help after extensive troubleshooting, will have to call in, but judging by other posts, this seems to be a Sonos issue considering its specific to one speaker model.If anyone has had any luck getting an answer from their phone support it would be appreciated to post the solution here. Otherwise I fear that there is nothing to do but wait for Sonos engineers to prioritize this.

Hi all. I had an LGOLEDB9 with my Arc connected and all was good. I upgraded to an LGOLEDG4 and for the life of me I can’t get it to connect to my Arc. I have tried everything suggested on here. Such as removing all other hdmi inputs and powercycling both the tv and the Arc. Tried different hdmi cables. Reset the arc & tv back to factory settings. And still no joy. Tv setup fails to recognise that the hdmi cable is connected. Even tried the optical adapter! Anyone got anything else I could try??  I should also say I’ve had a 2 hr support call with Sonos too. 

It seems that the alarm setup is not anymore available. When I create an alarm in the settings, it is now impossible to save it. What can we do?

I’m really struggling to get full access to my Amazon music library i know the limitations on playlists of 500 tracks which to be honest varies at any given timebut trying to search my full library seems limited to the first few hundred artists I want to browse my whole Amazon artist or track list and can’t understand why it’s so difficult.the spotty performance of the software is bad enough but this make me want to sell my system as it so frustrating. All I want is a playback medium not a third party filter 

I have an Arc Ultra with a sub (gen 2), Apple TV 4k for streaming and like to switch between my tv and using spotify on my mac.  Works great with no issues UNTIL I added a Move 2 so that I could have that sound in my kitchen.  After much difficulty I finally got the Move 2 to sync with my Arc Ultra playing sound from my TV, (no idea how I did it but it worked) UNTIL I switched to playing spotify on my mac.  Lost all signal to the Move 2 and now it won’t even connect back to my TV.  iPhone app has been only more confusing.  Very frustrated now.  Do I have the wrong product for this type of usage?  Anyone else have this issue?

Why in the new app when you open the queue doesn’t the song that’s playing automatically populate to the middle of the screen like it used to? When I open the queue now it always starts at the top so if I have a long playlist I have to scroll through to figure out where I’m at. And it’s not overly obvious which song is playing. 

I don’t understand quite how none of these three things manage to truly work together or deliver on their promise. I tell myself it’s great that these things work together at all. But more often than not:Airplaying to multiple speakers in Mac Music doesn’t work reliably. Even when they do connect to 3+ simultaneous sources, they often cut out. Meanwhile, in the Sonos app it is far more reliable connecting to speakers, even after playback has started somewhere else. But then I can’t see all my playlists — some are missing even after reauthorizing. So I’m forced to do things like start music in Mac Music, then switch over to Sonos to make sure that it’s playing where I want. Because I can’t reliably use airplay there to start playback on multiple speakers. Usually it taps out after two sources. Is that because the Sonos App isn’t leveraging airplay at all, instead its own internal 2.4GHz network? Why wouldn’t Sonos be able to see all my playl

I recently purchased a Sonos Arc.  Connected to LG Model TV. Problem I’m having is sometimes the sound switches back to TV internal speaker. The workaround is to then go into the tv settings and switch back to HDMI as the audio output. Anyone else having this issue? Not the worst issue, but considering the premium price tag of the ARC I would expect better compatibility.

Hi, I have Arc Ultra in my living room with Sony TV. I am considering to add rear speakers to improve the surround sound effect, ERA 300 is not on my list as the size is big. Hence, I will go for two units of ERA 100. If I just put the ERA 100 on same level as Arc Ultra, the effect wouldn’t be obvious? I will add in sub mini as well in the future.  Really need advices from experienced person or expertise. 

I have a Playbar and two Play 1’s all in my ‘TV room’The Play 1’s are set up as Stereo and the Playbar is connected to the tv via optical cable When I try to set Play 1s as surrounds nothing happens and the app tells me it is looking for compatible speakersHow do I join all components together ? ps was all working until I changed WiFi details It’s all been ‘reset’ and works individually but not as a home theatre set up thanks 

We have several cell phones connected to the speaker system via my account. I have been able to log in and access my services on every device, except for one (my daughters phone). I can see our speaker system in the app, but not log in to access our services. When I click “log in”, I repeatedly end up on the page below (cannot be reached). I'm also unable to open the sonos website in the Chrome browser on that device while I'm connected to the wifi (the same wifi that recognized my speaker system on that same device!). When I turn the wifi off, I can open the Sonos website over mobile data and log in, but when I turn the wifi back on, the services are not available in the app. I've read through several chats and followed many steps (reinstalling the app, restarting devices and routers, clearing caches etc), but nothing seems to work. Grateful for your advice.

Hi. I’m designing a system in my house, I’m new to Sonos amp, I believe I need it for recessed speakers as Sonos don’t offer mains networked recessed speakers from what I understand? Provisional setupcinema room 5x4.5m:1x bass,1x playbar,1x pair rear 8 inch sonance 1x Sonos amp Large open plan kitchen a lounge space 12m x6m. Tv one end kitchen the other:1x play bar4x 6 inch rear speakers 1x Sonos amp looking to install recessed speakers in 3x wc’s. I belive I need 3x additional amps if I wanted to only play music say in one of them at a time… Or am I missing something? I may just opt for the surface mount mains ones in other areas if buying multiple amps is the only way  im toying with the idea of a audio switch to save on amp cost for the cinema and kitchen rooms listed above, but not sure if it’s going to be a pain to keep switching as they would be mounted all together in

I have the Arc with 2 Play 1s and a sub as my setup for the family room. I am an android user and have been using my android phone to adjust the audio but obviously, I know that trueplay only works with iPhones and some iPad models.Moving forward, I had a iPad (10 gen), that I know is not compatible with sonos trueplay feature. I upgraded to iPad 11 (A16 chip) after I read all the requirements from the sonos website that will accept the sonos app. To my dismay, I found out first hand that it is not compatible to use trueplay. I called sonos tech support before I made that purchase and asked if the iPad 11 (A16 chip) will be compatible with trueplay - they agreed that it will work. I have proven that they themselves are wrong.I bought the iPad from Bestbuy where they sell sonos products and apple products. I asked their knowledgeable reps (Geek squad and also floor sales), made them read the iPads that will work with trueplay, and they recommended highly the iPad 11 Air

I have a 2024 Hisense U7 series TV and a Sonos Arc with Two Play ones as surrounds and a bonus sub.The arc is connected to TV via HDMI earc port.  When I have the Digital Audio Output set to Passthrough and watch shows on Netflix, I get Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital Plus badges to show in the Sonos app.  But when I use Peacock it say Stereo PCM in the app.  But if I change the TV setting from Passthrough to Dolby Digital, then when watching Peacock it show a Dobly Digital badge and does indeed sound better.  But then in Netflix I no longer see the Atmos badge.  So I am super confused as to what setting to put the Digital Output to.  If I put it on Auto, then when watching Peacock, the Sonos app shows Dolby Multichannel PCM 2.0.Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 for shows that was showing Dolby Digital Plus.  Dolby Atmos still seems to work correctly in this settingSo really confused what setting I should put it on.Is there a difference between Dolby Digi

Hi all,as title says really.  I’m currently in the process of a kitchen renovation and trying to understand whether or not I can wire 6 Sonance VP60Rs to a single Sonos amp ?  All I can seem to find is the following “The Sonos Amp is designed to reliably power up to three pairs (six total) of Sonos Architectural by Sonance speakers (INCLGWW1) when wired in parallel”I do have a second amp but was planning on using that exclusively for a pair of outdoor speakers. Thanks in advance 

I have one account for my S1 and another account for my S2. Both have their own network, players and of course the sonos system/speakers.How is it possible that if I play music from another system and I start to play music from the other as well, it cuts off the first one? It happends both ways.

I have a Humax set top box, and the volume controls appears as a bar along the bottom of the screen. Since installing a Sonos Arc Ultra the bar has dissapeared and the volume is just a + and - on the main screen. Does anyone know how the get the bar along the bottom back. Thanks.

Out of absolutely nowhere when I launch the Sonos app from my iphone 16ProMax I started getting “No System Found” errors. I go through the process of connecting my Roam again which in turn lets the app see one of my Sonos 1 speakers in the same room. Pretty much every time I launch the app the last few days I have to go through this process.Now I’m getting “No WiFi connection” although I only have one wifi SSID; my sonos system was set up on it, and it’s the SSID my phone uses.What gives?

Last few days I’ve started having issues out of the blue with my Sonos system / app. I have a play 5 first gen, couple of play 1s, play 3 , sonos bridge and an ikea collab speaker. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it, my wifi is stable and no changes. My operating systems are all up to date including Sonos app. Any ideas? Anyone else experiencing this? As someone who invested in Sonos in the earlier days I don’t have the funds to replace them and am frustrated by this situation. 

Hello all, at the moment when using “folder view” on the new app, there is no “add to queue” option on a folder, so if I go into a folder holding a collection of MP3s I can’t “add to queue” the whole folder content like I  used to do on the old app. I know you can use the non-folder view but this is the functionality I want to use. Is there a “wish list” anywhere to make sure options we want get recorded somehow?This is I think the only thing stopping me from moving to the new app at the moment, I have one speaker on the new app with my remaining 15 or so on the old app, waiting for it to work in a manner that suits me.

The latest release notes for 80.20.33 (Android) on 05/08/25 indicates this was included:  “For locally-stored music libraries, making it possible to queue entire folders”.  However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.  Anyone else having any luck?  In fact, I notice that I now have 2 issues: 1. There is still no option to add entire folders from my music library to a queue (nor replace queue, add to end of queue, play now, etc.).  This hasn’t existed since the wonderful app “upgrade” almost a year ago.  I’ve made do by using the desktop app to modify queues, create playlists, etc. which is a real pain.2. However, now I noticed that I can no longer add/replace/play my existing music library playlists (.m3u) to a queue either.  Sometime over the past several months this became an option… but when I try to do it now, it just spins and nothing happens.  So, I’ve gone backward in functionality once again... and it’s getting really old. Anyone else having similar proble

I also noticed that the file iTunes Music Library.xml had not updated for a while. Despite this, new music downloaded from the iStore would update in Sonos. I have also become aware that the Music app now uses the file “Music Library” in the folder Macintosh HD\Users\OWNNAME\Music\Music, which updates every time i open the Music app.To try and fix the problem with the playlists, I tried a few things:1. I recently had the GEEK SQUAD install in EERO 6+ AX 3000 Dual Band Mesh WiFi  3-pack router and extender in my three-story townhome. I have been unable to connect my Sonos speakers, sub, and beam to it since then, despite having rebooted, reset and reconnected the components multiple times. I still get sound when I manually press the top of one of the speakers as well as my TV. The GEEK SQUAD came and got it going but a day later, they were not working again. They now suggest deleting the Sonos app and re-downloading it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
