Using youview remote for volume

I have a Samsung 49NU7500, connected to a Youviewbox, a blu-ray player and my Sonos Beam.

Ok, so my 10yo Youview box was nearing its end of life, so i purchase a brand new one.

Today, i set up the new box, by basically swapping the wires at the back of the 2 Youview boxes over.

Set up was straight forward as expected.

However, i can only control the sound with the Sonos app now, whereas i could use the Youview remote to do this previously.

Any idea how to remedy this ?

Any help gratefully received...1st post, so be kind :)

Newer YouView boxes use CEC.  You need to turn CEC on for the Youview and TV (CEC on a Samsung is Anynet+).  Then go into the Settings under the Beam and select Remote Control Setup.

Cheers jgatie 😁

Took your advice and investigated the beam settings app, where as you correctly stated, there is a ‘remote control set up’.

Connected this to my Youview box remote, and ‘hey presto’, everything back to normal.

Many thanks
