The audio settings in the app, eq, etc are gone again today. Reappeared yesterday for a day and gone again. Why is this happening?

Just another quirk of the new improved Sonos app!

Delete and reinstall the app from the App Store.

Thanks 👍

And gone again.

This is a dangerous game to play with their loyal customer base? Instead of creating fancy new products get things working properly again or people will eventually go elsewhere.

It certainly suggests some sort of network issue with your controller not reaching all of the data from your speakers. I’d be checking for low level wifi interference , and  that fails, calling Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

The issue appears related to the Beam Gen 2. Majority of reports I’ve seen of missing EQ is where the Beam Gen 2 is involved.

Sonos Support have previously advised deleting and reinstalling the app to others who have contacted them.

Please let us know the words of wisdom provided by support.

My software was needing updated even though it was set to automatically update. I am sure that will fix the issues.?

ChatGPT gave me a workaround last night by either clearing the app cache or force closing the app and the settings returned although I imagine they might depart again.

Gone again today unsurprisingly. Support recommended reinstalling the app, unplugging the speakers etc. The chat gpt top tip, 'force close the app' works and the audio panel reappears.

Reinstalling the app is what I stated in my first comment.

Force closing and reopening doesn’t always work on first attempt, may require several attempts.

So far so good. When it happens again I will reinstall the app and keep my fingers crossed. Force closing the app takes a couple of seconds to execute and is an acceptable workaround for me.

The new mobile app is simply unreliable at determining the capabilities of a given device and whether it should show the UX. Reinstalling the app isn’t really going to change anything (nothing regarding EQ is persisted), but restarting the app might temporarily “fix” the problem.

I did reinstall last night and you are correct. It made no difference, audio settings had disappeared this morning. Prior to purchasing the Sub mini I never needed to use the app as the volume on my Shield remote was fine for my basic needs. Somtimes I need to turn the Sub down as I imagine it might be annoying my neighbours at times. Sound settings disappearing 🙁

Force close seems to work thankfully.
