I want Sonos to pull up their pants and offer to buy there speakers back since they are worthless.I like the sound of Sonos and I bought them because I could play my music. Well WFT their unstable app is now no good to because YOU CANNOT PLAY YOUR MUSIC! I SAY LET’S DO A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT. I am making comments and social media that Sonos stock is going to tank. The CEO should be tanked and sued by stock holders for * up Sonos app worse then it was previously*Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
I am a longtime user of Sonos. Over many years I have enjoyed almost flawless access to my extensive music library using the “old” app. Since the launch of the so called “much improved app”, I have no access whatsoever. My Sonos system is not working at all. I have wasted long hours on the phone to Sonos Tech Help …. and for what? No result! No help! On these occasions, but only after wasted hours (submitting diagnostics, allowing remote access to both iMac and iPad, trying this, trying that), was I told that, really, “there’s nothing we at tech support can do until the “fixes to the new app have be completed”. Well, howdy do!!You mean Sonos withdrew an existing working app and launched a replacement app which Sonos knew to be incomplete and having inherent faults! That warrants more than just a “howdy do”. What can I say? A total s…show!!Incompetence and disregard to customers and supporters. Until the new app is fully functional, why won’t Sonos reinstate the old app? At least, the
Question de revente : Réflexion
I had this show up on YouTube feed today, I think this is finally the straw that broke the camel’s back. I dealt with the terrible “new” app. I dealt with previous features being removed and having to be reintroduced. I dealt my system dropping off the network. I dealt with it all. Now you're telling me that aside from almost making my entire hardware paperweights , I now have to deal with the fact that you're going to sell my data, and not only that, I can’t opt out of it, you're forcing me into these terms, after spending thousands on your hardware. DO BETTER SONOS. DO BETTER.
I’ve been converting my house to a Sonos house for the last couple years. So far:4x Sonos amp1x ARC1x sub2x era 300s3x Play 11x Beam Just wanted to take a moment to voice that they new terms of service, that remove data privacy guarantees, are a complete deal breaker for me— I will never purchase another Sonos product while they are in place. Changing the deal to take advantage of the customer after they are trapped. You can either agree to the new terms, where they are now able to make you the product, or you give up being able to use the speakers that you own. I regret all of my Sonos purchases. I thought they were better than this. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
Why has Sonos support ghosted me and my warranty replacement even after being issued a case #********.Is Sonos warranty not worth the paper it's written odd. Terrible treatment and have interest in further purchases of Sonos products. Moderator edit: Case number recorded and removed
I can’t believe it, but the latest update in June is worse. I connected briefly and now can’t connect at all. Two of my components are the older play 1 and there’s no option to connect those as there isn’t a PIN on it. Why does Sonos keep on giving the finger to customers by continually releasing updates that don’t work? It also seems that they don’t do full testing on the array of products to ensure that the updates work.
GET IT TOGETHER SONOS, hardware is fantastic. I have been a Sonos fan for over ten years, but it only takes a short series of bad decisions to lose hard earned customers. The recent app update makes me "update" my hardware and manually enter the pin on the bottom of the sub every time I try to group rooms. The app is clunky and barely pairs with my preferred programs (Sonos music isn't as good as Spotify IMO, and "Hey Google" is better than "hey Sonos"). The sentiment isn't new, I am seeing a lot of customers; (just look at this discussion section) here and on Reddit who are having the same problems. WAKE UP SONOS, YOU ARE HEMORRHAGING CUSTOMERS who all are having similar issues. Disappointing.
Sonos has reached the bottom of the barrel with this out of this world crappy app. This time it’s just too much! They will never recover from this record breaking never seen before consumer outrage. Get rid of all your Sonos gear while you still can because very very soon all that **** will only be expensive paper weights. I strongly suggest to switch to Bluesound system. Used them for years and never had issues compared to Sonos who gave me problems almost everytime! Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
The new Sonos app is appalling, nothing works well on it. Since the latest upgrade it now takes a few goes for it to even see my Sonos system (5 oldish play speakers and 2 roams - one of which is a replacement for a replacement that keeps dropping off the network so I don't use). I often cant turn volumes up or down and I tried to stop one of my speakers playing the radio but eventually had to turn it off manually! It's dii I want see speakers if they go offline whereas the old app did. I cannot believe how rubbish it is and won't be buying Sonos again. A controller that doesn't control - ridiculous!
Is there an avenue to connect my bluetooth Zepplin Air to my desktop via my Sonos S1? I’d like the Sonmos dashboard to control these speakers,
This is the worst application update I've ever seen. The interface is clunky, slow, and hard to use. So much real estate is given away to blobby, pointless chrome. Have their been any usability reviews done on this? So much functionality has been lost or broken: no alarms, no ability to long press a song in the Playlist to get info. This should never have been released in this state. I imagine a lot of money was sunk into developing this, but don't fall for the sunk-cost fallacy. This is a terrible step backwards, it needs to be abandoned.
I am not one to normally post on forums but this last update has only impacted my system but I can see, after coming here, that this is not just my issue allow. Like many of you I have heavyly invested in Sonos and guided my friends and family to invest in sonos as well. So not only do I have a system that is not working but a large swath of my friends and family are also calling asking for help with their systems. If you are like me, you are part of the army of Sonos users who have helped Sonos grow through word of mouth. As such I thought It was important to chime in and add my voice to yours as a user who feels very disappointed in Sonos and embarrassed about how this is impacting those I have recommend Sonos to. @Sonos fix this and make good by those of us who have invested so much and have championed your brand.
As title says I was about to invest in the new Ace Headphones however, until my Sonos playlists are reinstalled and the app sorts out the missing features everything is on hold.So disappointed after spending a lot of money on this system ☹️
I’m a new user to Sonos and found the purchase, setup and use just awesome…until this new app replaced old one. I found the old app to be very easy to navigate to bring up songs and go back to lists while listening, get in and out of screens without feeling stuck and getting frustrated. I also find that I get an “something went wrong” message just trying to select songs. I really don’t like this new app and find myself listening less often now than before. Please fix and improve soon.
My husband and I retired from work in 2019 and 2021, respectfully. In preparation for retirement, we wanted to replace our ailing 40-year-old Harman Karden system and JBL speakers so we did our research and decided on the Sonos Play 5 speakers. We don’t have many wants or needs but music is a daily necessity, and this simple, intuitive, easy-to-navigate system was perfect for us. We set alarms to wake us up, to accompany cocktail hour, and to put us to sleep. We had a library of favorite stations and playlists. Until now. This latest update has been so frustrating and disruptive to our daily lives. We’re not completely tech-savvy or tech-enthralled, but we know enough to get by. However, we shouldn’t have to be Ph.Ds in software engineering in order to listen to some music. Please fix the app so we can enjoy the few years we have left on this earth. Please.
Just adding my voice to the feedback about the new app. I have been completely disappointed with the new app. Simple things you could do in the old app are no longer easy. For example, I play a certain Apple Music station every Sunday morning. There is a Recently Played option where the station appears. When you select it, Sonos displays the “Something went wrong” message. Searching for that station took me 5 minutes to find it even though I have done it several weeks in a row now. Another complaint is that I cannot play my Sirius stations. Sonos (or Sirius) broke this in the old app. Calls to Sirius and Sonos just resulted in finger pointing with no solution. I was hoping that the problem would be fixed in the new version but Sirius is still not working. Argh!&$# There are many other examples. Just not willing to invest too much time until I see some progress on their end. Chris S P.S. I find it amusing that Sonos popped up an ad for free shipping while I’m typing this f
The new Sonos App is absolute rubbish. I have never felt compelled to give “feedback” but it is so poor as to be utterly useless. There are large delays in doing things. It often won’t let me access anything. Repeatedly, I have given up and sought an alternative. In terms of usability it is a complete waste of time - my time!!!!!! I have almost stopped using it altogether and now listen to my choices using a bluetooth boombox - it may not provide good sound but it’s a darn site more reliable! If Sonos don’t get this sorted imminently then I will take a lump hammer to my speakers and get something that actually works! Have you forgotten who your customers actually are!!!!!!!!!!! Smart speakers are no use with a dumb app!!!
Cos that's all i ever see when navigating the new (cr)app.Amazon Music is borderline unusable as it never connects or displays my music library and on the rare occasion I can get it to play it then skips tracks in the album selected. This isn't exclusive to the new app as occurs on the desktop app which I am dreading the loss of as seems the most reliable way of controlling music at current timeOpening the app it is 50/50 that it will display my system and I regularly have to close it down and try again.Loss of widget is a real pain as just makes navigation several steps longer.I used to enjoy listening to my music, but now I just feel frustrated trying to get something to play and really find it hard to believe none of these issues were identified through beta testing.Sort it out Sonos!
Why do you keep releasing apps that are worse than the one before?Clunky and just awful - leave them alone.I have spent a fortune on your products - I don’t care about your headphones - I want my sound system to work.Today can’t get my move to connect with my network.Should have gone to Apple.
Moderator Note - Translation by Google:Since the new app nothing works anymore! Updating the system doesn't work, finding content services doesn't work! It's really not fun when you have a device that doesn't work the way it's supposed to! Would you have at least left the old app version, but no! How long do we have to wait until everything goes back to how it was before?
It’s time to move to Bose
Fire the Sonos app dev team and CTO now! Forcing all using to update to a non-functional application update is the most amature move the Sonos team could have made!My $10k+ whole home system is now a brick. The app doesn't work on iPhone or on Android. "something went wrong" is the pop up every time I click anything. Absolutely nothing works 🤬!101 of app updates is to never force an update until all the bugs have been worked out. This application role out is a total embarrassment to the sonos brand. Business owners who count on having a reliable sonos sounds system are probably suffering big time right now. I am seeing hundreds of sonos customers complaining on all forums right now. It's been 2 weeks and this system is still non functional and no updates have been published. GET IT TOGETHER SONOS!
Not much of a question but comment. You guys really dropped the ball on this app, it’s terrible. I use Sonos because of how easy it was, now I wanna rip it out of my house and gym. The music is a huge part of my work (I own a gym), I can not believe how terrible this is, it is not only frustrating, it is making it hard to train people and wondering when the music is gonna shut off or skip. Stop making stupid changes, stop trying to make things better when it is fine, this is terrible, put it back to where it is user friendly and easy!
I am a Sonos dealer with 100’s of installations active in my local community. The recent update and lack of functionality of various basic features has been difficult to explain to my clients and put my firm in an awkward position going forward. I have not only sold and recommended the sonos platform for the last 15 years, I have also personally used it in my home. I now am considering other options for new installations and feel some hesitation to continue recommending your product. My questions are-1: why can’t we go back to the old app?2: volume slider does not respond well, when will this be fixed?3: my clients are experiencing Spotify playlist issues, the playlists randomly stop and return the the first song in Spotify. Is this a widely known issue and if so, when will it be resolved?4: how do I transfer system ownership to a new client after setting up a system?5: Digital out for Sonos Port - We have Sonos installations out in the field where we are using the digital output from
