Why is the new Sonos App SO BAD??

I have a Sonos one and Beam.

the App repeatedly fails to detect them and i have to start the app numerous times before it detects these devices.  It repeatedly says “something went wrong”!

I can’t even change radio stations or increase volume with this message being dispalyed

This Sonos experience is REALLY bad!

It seems to be that Sonos rushed the software release in order to be able to support (and therefore sell) their headphones. Since the original release, there has been some improvements - in reintroducing some missing functionality - but the overall performance still seems intermittent. I’m sure you’ll see the frustration in the numerous posts…

You would have thought that they would have done a thorough test of the app -with real selective customers before releasing to everyone.  I work in IT and there is NO WAY we would have released a major new software upgrade before beta testing with real customers.
This experience has really dented my faith in Sonos, so much so i’m delaying buying additional producrs until they sort this out!

They did beta test it.  The issues were reported.  It was released anyway, more than likely not even an IT decision.  The need to meet end of fiscal year sales overruled everything else.

What about next years sales target not being met….when people don’t buy Sonos because of this experience - me included!  very poor short-sighted decision IMO

Investors only care about the next quarter.
