HelloJust wanted to pass along my impression of the Sonos App (fka S2) seven (7) months later. Before I continue let’s get this said and out of the way…The initial Sonos App release in May 2024 caused a significant amount of pain and anguish for many loyal Sonos customers. It most likely cost Sonos new customers as well. 🤔I’m sure you can find many threads in this community attesting to the debacle Sonos brought upon themselves by releasing an unfinished product. It’s going to take time for Sonos to regain the complete trust and confidence of its customer base (as well as attract new customers) regarding their commitment to provide an outstanding product in both hardware and software.Having acknowledged the above I can say unequivocally that the Sonos App; TODAY is performing as well as its predecessor and brought along some welcome improvements. I’ve been in the software industry for 50 years now. That’s a long time. A very long time. I have seen many applications, utilities, services, and products come and go. I have built many of them.This new SONOS Android app? One of the worst re-versionings I have ever seen. Two cardinal rules have been broken:Never release a product that is not fully baked. If you present functionality to your users that doesn’t actually work as the UI suggests it should, you will feel the wrath. Never release a version update that removes functionality from earlier versions without very, very good reason. Doing so, after setting the self-created standard, takes away a considerable amount of your goodwill you worked so hard to create.We all know how depressingly awful this new version is and how much has been lost in the process so I won’t belabor the painful details.I really just want to know what you, SONOS, are doing about it? Can’t access my speaker through app since update

My husband bought a Plex server. I added the sever on my Sonos App and all worked fine for one evening playing music. Now I go to access the sever on the Sonos app and it states "No Content Items Available". The server is working fine. I can see and play my music via the Plex app but Sonos all of a sudden cannot see the tracks/content.I am losing the will. I love my Sonos...or rather I did, as they've made things so hard to simply play and listen to music!!!Can anyone help me please? Thanks. Kelly 

According to thr support article from the Sonos below, the app (both Android and iOS) should have a function to put Arc Ultra into Bluetooth pairing mode. However, the latest version of the app on both platforms is MISSING the Bluetooth pairing function. How do we report this bug? When using the Sonos App to stream Amazon Music, the Artists listing in My Music is incomplete. I can only access artists up to the letter P. The list beyond that point is truncated. I had read a previous thread here indicating that Amazon Music applies a container size limit of 500 items. This seems to imply that the truncation of my list is a condition imposed by Amazon. I take issue with this answer, since my Bose app contains the complete Amazon Music artist listing, and continues to readily follow my expansion of that list with no issues when I add new artists. Why not the Sonos app, as well? The previously suggested workaround of using the Amazon Music search function in the Sonos app is cumbersome and time consuming. It is far easier to scan through my private list to select files to play than to perform a search from memory. When I select a record or a song in Tidal the system crash after 5 sec minimum and pass to the next song and continues doing the same.This only happen when I select music from Tidal, when I select Spotify it is normalI need and update? 

I’ve had to uninstall the S2 app on my 2021 Motorola G phone as it just didnt work. This was a few months ago. I was thinking, ok Sonos developers screwed it up a bit, I’ll wait and try in a year. So should I try and see if it works now? Have they fixed it? Your thoughts? 

Looking at my Spotify Wrapped (their yearly summary) I can’t tell if it includes Sonos-initiated playback, or not.In our household it is my Spotify account that we use for Sonos, plus I also use it in my car.Now I love me some Taylor Swift, but I can’t tell if my wife’s use of Sonos playing her all the time has impacted my account stats, or not? Anyone know? Maybe your music preferences are more different than your household’s so its more obvious.

I am now begining to have doubts over my investment in SonosHaving suffered at the hands of appgate since the last update I now have the following issues which I beileve are linked On my Windows Desktop I getstream.mp3The song is not encoded properly On my iPhoneWhen I select an album and hit play nothing happensthe play button disappears and is replaced by a spinning symbolThen the play button comes back and if I hit this enough times, after a delay in plays My frustration with growing.  Why does opening a user created playlist in Amazon Music often not show the 3dot button that takes you to the 5 different choices?  Instead there is a single 3dot button that opens a screen with the one choice Save to Sonos Favorites. After enough unnecessary close-open-close-open-open a different playlist-etc. I can finally get the choices used for playing the playlist.    

If I use Apple Music or Spotify I have to constantly adjust the volume of songs. Very annoying. I never had that on my Sonos units at home but do at the office. If I connect via bluetooth it seems to be more consistent but via the Sonos app it’s ridiculous. I have a lot of older Sonos equipment so still using the original App. Don’t know if upgrading the equipment would make a difference. Again, same equipment at home and works fine. Any advice is welcome. Thanks

 When I Save a user created playlist from Amazon Music to Sonos Favorites I get a message saying Removed from Sonos Favorites instead of Saved to Sonos Favorites.  The playlist does get added.  The wrong message pops up. 

Hi, my Sonos-App on iOS shows the following under Settings → Switch SystemSonos System (1) [5 Rooms] Sonos System (2) [5 Rooms]So if i switch between the systems, nothing obviously changes in the app. If run “Forget System” in the app and “Join an existing system”, it shows “Multiple Systems found” and then lists all my Era 100s and Arc Ultra in System one system, and my 2 Sonos One SLs in another system. When i join any of them, my app is like before (i.e. i see all rooms and speakers and can control them)If they are split, some things can be only done by actively switching the systems, for example if i want to unpair or pair my One SLs into a Stereo set, that only works if i switch to Sonos System (2) (which contains only the One SLs i believe).I already tried factory resetting one of the two One SL and before re-adding it to a system and i made sure i’m in Sonos System (1) before adding the One SL, however, after forgetting the syst

Not sure if it is supposed to or not, but it would be great if the Sonos S2 Controller App when playing a song would call the Windows Media API call so that it would show as now playing and the Windows media shortcut keys would work like volume up and down and previous and next song. Also, when the screen it locked it would show up as the song now playing on the lock screen. This would also allow other applications to display this information as rich presence in applications like Discord.

In the current Sonos app on iPhone, I see absolutely no way to create a playlist. I have searched online and the steps that even Sonos lays out do not even match what is on the corresponding screen. Ugh, this is such an awful app that it is unbelievable that any designer could have even thought of this. I’m a pretty educated person- I have an M.D. and an MBA and I record music in Logic as a hobby, yet I cannot begin to figure out how to make a playlist. It was so much easier in the old app! Can anyone help me?

Hi,I mostly use Sonos to listen to my music library (USB device on my router). I use the iOS app and despite the latest updates, some functionalities are still missing for me.I like to use « Folders » instead of « Artist », « Album » or « Song », because it keeps my music in the classification order I want (and because all albums/songs from an artist are in the same place, even if there are many featuring with other artists).In previous app, I could play all files in a folder without having to manually choose each subfolder/file.In the new app, when using « Folders », I first have to choose one subfolder (album) to have the option to play it. If I want to play all the subfolders (albums) of a folder (artist), I need to add each subfolder to the queue.Whereas.. If I use « Artist » instead of « Folders », I do have the option to play all.Previously, « Folders » worked the same way as « Artist » for example. When I was in a folder, I could play

HelloI cannot see any recent threads on this but about 10 days ago my alarms have just stopped working altogether. have tried setting an hour before, radio, Sonos chime, set playlist etc but nothing seems to work. The time comes and goes and no music whatsoever from the Sonos. So frustrating as this used to be perfect before all the problems. Then the set timings had to be an hour before but it was at least functional. Now nothing

 When I use Add to End of Queue to load a user created playlist I still get the error shown in the first screenshot.  In spite of the error the playlist loads.  Why does this still occur?  Thought this was fixed. 

So, I have been trying to connect my music library located on my PC to the (newer) Android App. I can make it work from PC to PC, but many hours spend looking on the net for a solution didn’t give results.Systems: Windows 11/Android Version 15SMB1/SMB2 configuration: Music file network configuration:My Sonos App that doesn’t even validate library entry (button stays disabled):  What Am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Will the music library I created by uploading CDs for the S1 system work in the S2 system? Will the Sonos Playlists still work?

 Why does the queue not follow the progress of the music?  When I’m playing track 137 that’s where I should be when I open the queue.  Instead I’m on page one.  When will this be fixed?

Regarding compilation CD’s they look like individual CD’s for each track in the app. they used to look ok before, is the s release issue??Best regards  

Hi thereI have installed the Sonos app 2 days ago and cannot find and therefore add BBC Sounds as a service. My address is clearly showing as based in the UK. Can you advise.please?Chris

I cannot scroll down beyond a certain point when I want to choose an artist to listen to in the Amazon Music app within the Sonos app. It doesn't happen when I use the Amazon Music app alone. How can I fix this problem.
