Controllers and Music services

Help for a Sonos newbieIm wanting to purchase Sonos speakers for my home. A mixture of static and portable. Can I mix these but keep them all in the same group to play same track throughout the house. How do I do this from my iPhone? Will it connect to all the speakers in the group!? 

Not sure if this has been asked.I am new to Sonos but been using Plex for many years.Is there a way for Sonos to use the Plex playlist art instead of the album covers it uses?Many thanks

Hi,I have a Beam, 2 One SL and Hub mini connected together for surround.For several weeks every works fine but from today the application stopped reflecting the sonos activity. The speakers continue working and can be controlled by buttons and/or via API but no data is received in the application on phone or windows.Could you help?Thanks,David

Hi,I understand the only way to play lossless audio using Apple Music is using ATV - eg playing through my connected Beam.  If I group my Beam with my stereo paired 5’s + sub using S2 app and play Apple Music through ATV into Beam as source, will this play lossless through 5’s + sub?  Thanks for your help 

Sirius no longer plays on my Sonos system - been going on for over a week.  Can’t reach their advanced tech support until tomorrow.  Would like to see what you guys can offer on the subject - the answer simply translates to whether I kill my Sirius service or not so appreciate anything you can offer.  The fact that the topic is #1 in your related topics section above.  whats up?

When I try to save my playlists, I get an error message saying that SONOS encountered an error. Cannot save it.

Hi I’m installing several zoned areas with in-ceiling speakers wired back to several amps in my comms  cabinet. If I get an Amazon echo how does this communicate with my amps and zones? Is it simply a case of plugging it in and hooking it up to the wifi network or does it need to be wired back to the amps? thanks. 

So I have installed Sonos app twice now.  Setting up my new Move took over an hour because the app refused to believe my router was actually functioning (another story, but relevant as the app gives misleading info a lot). Anyway, then I go onto adding services and all goes well until my paid YouTube Music account is added.  I added it twice (using the whole code paste in and authorizing my Google account) and it went through each time.  YouTube was successfully added.  But whenever I go into YouTube Music from Sonos, it say “No Selections are Available”.  Like why???????  I go onto Youtube and verify I have hundreds of playlists.  All my other services work. And before someone answers from a Customer Service script and tells me to reinstall everything and reboot my router...no.  Just no.  I want actual advice about why Sonos is not reaching youTube.  Is there a setting in YouTube or is the app just that flawed where I can look forward to playing YouTube via

Hey there,Somehow the new speakers I’ve added to an existing system don’t show up on the Mac app. They’re fine on Mobile and can be controlled/grouped. But no sign of them on the Mac app!  I’ve re-installed the app already. any help would be appreciated. Running macOS Monterey 12.2.1 thanks

I do not see the TuneIn on the Browse tab menu...but I see it on my laptop version of Sonos..?

Hi all I am planning on installing several sonos amps and wired speakers in a new build. Can anyone tell me is there a device other than my phone that I can play music and the radio through. I like not needing my phone when I come home from work so is there a device that I can stream from that would sit on for example the kitchen island this preventing me from needing to use my phone?  Thanks. 

I've owned & really enjoyed my SONOS system for over 10 years.  All but one of my SONOS units are S1 and the other is S1/S2, so I control the system via the How many calls have you missed while getting past your phone's lock screen, then to & maximizing the SONOS app, selecting Rooms, then either:  A. Clicking on "Pause All", then clicking on "Yes" OR B. Sliding up on the black section identifying "where/what" is currently playing to reveal the groupie volume level, then click on the Speaker Icon to "Mute" SONOS?](Android) S1 controller.  And I believe SONOS has done a great job of incorporating all the system controls into the phone app.  However, there is ONE very frequently occurring problem/annoyance that I don't think can be eliminated by any further improvements to the phone app: Very quickly muting/stopping/pausing the SONOS "sound" when necessary.  E.g., when a child screams, a spouse demands immediate attention, answering an  incoming p

Hello everyone.Run into a problem with apple music right now. Sonos plays albums on apple music but gives an error when I try to play a radio for any artist. Is it a problem with sonos or with apple? Or with me?Thanks.

Been using Sonos radio “Rock Road Trip” for a couple years now. Today I got a login notification. I logged in and still got this message… “Unable to play ‘Sonos Radio’ - access is denied”.I am able to play other music I have on my phone… frustrating.

I use the Sonos app to stream Spotify to my One SL and when I search for artists and select the “Top Tracks” it always includes Willie Nelson’s “Roll me up and smoke me when I die”. I don’t have this issue on Spotify app itself. I have this issue with every artist I’ve searched for. How do I delete this song from the Top Tracks playlist?

Been through the related threads - and I have tried to reset my controller, remove Spotify etc. as pointed out in another thread. However Spotify still drops out randomly… I have now tested with another Music Service. Spotify is having a problem, NOT Sonos - I can listen to radio and another music service for hours without any problems, but Spotify drops the stream randomly. One note though, after my system reset, remove / add Spotify and so on, less dropouts occurs. So some effect but still not good enough. l’ll push this into the Spotify support. 

I was told I could (using my Android phone) access a USB Music Drive on my Netgear 16Port PoE Sw by connecting an RJ45-to-USB adapter.   Did that.  Can’t figure out how to see/access it from my phone.  All the tips point to using Win10 as the interface.  I need to do it from my phone.  Thanks, Rookie WiFi’er here.   

I see quite a number of folks with this issue one and two years ago.  Mine is of recent vintage, since iOS 16.3   I can restore access by reauthorizing of course but doing this every single time I want to use the app with Sonos is not a good user experience.  Since I have no issue with Pandora directly, I have to conclude this is a sonos issue and hope there is a better fix for this than ignoring the problem.  Sonos has always been my exemplar of great customer service and smart tech support but this time around there seems to be nothing from Sonos but the sound of crickets.  

I have a NAS on my network where I have a music library of thousands of CDs I have collected over the past 20 years.  All of the other systems that use that library are able to easily identify multiple albums with the same name as being different.  When I index on Sonos - these multiple albums all combine into a single one.  Are there settings that allow me to identify the datapoints that define an album?  Example:I have multiple recordings of the same Opera - They they are all called ‘Faust’ but they are performed by different opera companies, different release dates and different cover art.  When I look at the album Faust on Sonos - I see track 1 5 times.  etc.  I would like to be able to define an album based on the Title, the Year, the Artist.  I have a similar situation with Broadway Musicals… the same album with different cast recordings.  Has anyone been able to overcome this?  I don’t want to have to include the artist as part of the album title when there is a

I have both Sonos 2 and Sonos 2 on my iPhone. One house has an all Sonos 1 system. A second house has an all Sonos 2 system. If I use the Sonos 2 system, when I return to the house with Sonos 1, the Sonos 1 app will not find or recognize the Sonos 1 system. If I uninstall the sonos1 app and reinstall all the speakers the Sonos 1 system works perfectly until I visit the second house and use the Sonos 2 app with the Sonos 2 system. Upon return to Sonos 1 house the Sonos 1 app will not recognize the sinks 1 system and I have to uninstall and reinstall again to get the Sonia 1 system to work.Does anyone else have this issue? Despite what Sonia advertises, is it not possible to have both Sonos 1 and 2 apps installed on the same devise?Does anyone have a fix for this problem? 

Hi all,Quick question: Sonos and spotify app are installed on an Ipad with internet. is the sound volume control (up /down) done via the internet of via de iPad ? what can cause a delay when turning the sound volume up or down?
