Controllers and Music services

I have my turntable hooked up to my 2nd Gen Play 5 and only one channel is displayed on the app, previously both channels were displayed now the Left channel states its Disconnected, I still get sound out of the left channel but the app has it as disconnected.  I’ve unplugged the Play 5, put a new cable on the turntable and nothing has changed, any clues on how to fix this. Thanks, Rio

Hi, I live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and recently I have purchased Sonos move. When I login on to the Sonos app on my iOS device and go to Sonos radio. I just see featured list and browse radio. I do not see Sonos presents or sonos stations. I see under the support section of availability of Sonos radio in United Arab Emirates. So this should not be a problem. What do you think is going on? 

I was just curious with the release of the Sonos Arc and now the all new Era 300’s. When will spatial audio Dolby Atmos come to Sonos Radio HD?

I have the Sonos Controller for Mac V 15.1.1 running on a MacBookPro M1 Max with Ventura V13.2.1.  I can not connect my music library on the laptop to Sonos. What I’ve done to set it up - In System Settings, I have “File Sharing” ON and in Privacy I have “Files and Folders” set to allow Sonos access. Under Sonos Manage/Music Library Settings/ , I select (+), select “Another Folder of Disk Connected To My Computer ”, select my Music folder,  get through all the setup questions, and then I get an error saying “Sonos was unable to add the music folder”.  I have restarted my laptop and Sonos multiple times between setup changes.  But still no connection.  Help!

The main SONOS network in my house is S2 and connects to a music library on my Terastation NAS.  I am using my old S1 Sonos amp in the garage and cannot get it to connect to the same NAS music library.  When I add a new Library on the S1 system, using \\192.168.1.***\Music, I get the invitation to add the user name and password, however after adding the correct UN and PW the response is  - Access to the shared folder “\\192.168.1.***\Music is Denied.   Both the S2 & S1 systems are on the same LAN. Any help would be appreciated. 

I have a 3tb My Cloud Home NAS with music, videos, and photos. The music was installed (CD rips) via iTunes. I have connected the SONOS app to find the “iTunes Media” folder on the NAS by adding the My Cloud Home as a Music Service (as per guidance on the SONOS site). However, when I now change details in iTunes (e.g. add an album, change artist name, delete an album), the library on the SONOS app isn’t updating.I read a post about recycle bin issues but there is no recycle bin set up on my My Cloud Home.

So just got the Sonos Era 300 and installed the Windows app.Aside from the fact that the Bose app is definitely better, I don't like Sonos collecting my usage data.So I tried turning it off:Open the settings Go to Additional Usage Data Uncheck the checkboxBut there's no save or apply button. So next time I open the settings, it's still checked.I don't think this is legal, and I already find it very dodgy that it's set to enabled by default.Any way to turn this off?

HiI have spotify duo and want to play at home, but at the same time my wife on spotify app (android)when out . It always cuts out. How do I register two (duo) spotify accounts on the songs?Please adviseThanksSteve

Every time I try to access the System option in settings, the app just closes.This started happening a couple of weeks ago.App is version 14.20.1Build 70436090Phone is  Google Pixel 3 on Android 12I’ve restarted the phone but it didn’t help. I haven’t yet re-installed the app. 

I think I must be being thick… but how do I play BBC sounds output from history, ie any BBC Sounds material other than live radio?  It’s trivial on the web - you just pick what you want from the schedule - but I can’t find the schedule in any of my Sonos apps.Please point out where I’m being stupid, please.

Hi,I was at my friends house and connected to her system. When I returned home and put on music from spotify it started playing in her house over 200km away.  this has also happened in my house once when my friend from another side of town tried playing from her spotify at home. how is this possible since they were not in the same wifi? 

My S2 app on Mac OS locked up do I deleted it planning on to reload the aoo.  Where is the app available for download?

Hi Folks 👋I’ve been able to add Spotify and my personal YouTube Music account as a Sonos Service just fine.However, when I try to add a YouTube Music “Brand (limited to YouTube)” account, I get the attached “Access Blocked: Authorization Error” message.I noticed that this only happens when it’s a “Brand (limited to YouTube)” account, but a regular “Brand” account or a regular personal account, I am able to connect as a “Service” just fine.  Please see the attached screenshot of the different types of “Brand” accounts.Is this a bug or is it an intended behavior?  Or is there a work around to this issue?Thank you for your time 🙏  Error Message

When - a few times per week - Sonos produces zero search results I restart the Sonos app (iPhone) and then it works again. Been like that for a couple of years I guess. No big problem… Is it just … streaming life?

I have been having issues with the S2 app for over a year now.  It’s intermittent.  It happens on both my iPhone and my wife’s - connected to same sonos system. The issue is on speaker list - if I scroll to bottom of rooms then it jumps to top.  The same issue is seen on system information screen - same thing but you can see the data flickering.  It also happens if you search for song and expand Spotify list - it jumps back a screen. I have tried resetting app, reinstalling etc.  it happens more often than not.  Anyone got any ideas?

How do I get added as a user on my boyfriend’s Sono account? 

Like a lot of people, it seems, I have this problem. It’s been going on for a long time and I keep thinking it’ll get fixed but doesn’t. I read an extremely long thread on it (Sonos no longer recognizing folder.jpg for cover art?) in which replies ended many months ago and there seems to have been no resolution. What is the status?My music library is on a Synology NAS with SMB2 min, SMB3 max. I have a mix of MP3s with embedded art (600x600) and WMAs with a folder.jpg in the containing folder. The issues are not unique to either type; both types fail to display properly at random times. I always play large WPL imported playlists. I frequently update these playlists with manually shuffled versions (I did not feel that Sonos’ shuffle was random enough so I shuffle the playlists myself). My library auto-updates at 4am daily.  I’ve spent (and continue to spend) a great deal of time curating my library with tags and cover art and it is constantly irritating to see the art no

Play 1 (stereo pair) + Play 3 been running well for years. Controlled bi iPad app. Music source is also on iPad. No connection or network changes but recently Sonos system is “not recognised” by the app even if the system is actually playing! Running the Fix prompts eventually finds that the system was there all the time. Getting very fed up with this.

I see messages saying that Apple have fixed this…. Well not in my house they haven’t, so I’ve got three pairs of Sonos speakers, that won’t talk to my iMac, my iPhone or my iPad. again. 😡

This problem has been around for over two years! I haven’t seen it in a while but suddenly it came back like a bad cold. a full reset of my 4 zone system did not fix it. Sonos products are basically overpriced and with that comes an understanding that they’re worth it. Little annoying issues like this erode our confidence in the product 

I’ve seen this question asked before but no real answers have been provided, at least that I have seen.  What is the fix for this issue?

Hi all,I have 6 Sonos devices around my home and all have worked fine for a long time.I just got home after a trip and seem to have a glitch with my Sonos Play:5 (Gen 2).Cannot connect to the speaker from within Spotify app. It times out. Intermittently cannot play via the Sonos app and get a variety of error messages like “cannot queue item to the device” or “cannot connect to device”It will play from other sources (Sonos Radio / TuneIn)The device is updated. I have powered the device down, reset it to factory settings, reauthorised Sonos in my Spotify account. Nothing has fixed it so far.Any ideas?thanks so much,Maya 

I’ve a paid subscription of Amazon Music in Portugal, but as it seems, the Sonos integration is not yet available. Any idea why? Copyright issues? Hi guys,Although I have a subscription of Amazon Music service, I don’t seem to be able to integrate it on my sonos app.That makes me feel a bit uncomfortable since I’ve pre-ordered the ERA 300 and I’m hoping to have services that support ATMOS and Spatial audio from Day 1.Also, the question is when will you expand the integration on the sonos app and if I can use airplay (using the amazon music app directly) to stream atmos on Era 300.Thanks in advance,Jose

On all iPhones and iPads in household, we have been getting error message “unable to play…connection to Spotify was lost.” All reboots reinstalls etc etc not working. Other music/podcast sources working fine.Various searches show it is a frequent issue…what is Spotify doing about it? So frustrating!Filled the house with expensive Sonos speakers that won’t play music. Kinda want to go back to CDs.
