Controllers and Music services

I have set up 3 speakers on my new wifi. Two days later, when I open the app, it says there are 0 devices connected to my network. Since then I have mounted the playbar and hid the cords in the wall, so I cannot remove to reconnect via Ethernet. Why does the Sonos app always have issues connecting to products? What is the best step to get the speakers to reappear in the app?

I have had a Sonos speaker for over 6 Months now and its has been nothing but a terrible experience. The app is supper glitchy. The system keeps disappearing from my network, linking services to the app is a nightmare of an experience and getting help form the company is almost impossible. I will never buy another Sonos product, there are way better options out there with way leas issues. I know Sonos has good quality sound, but their user experience is just too terrible for the good sound quality to make up for anything.

In the old app it was possible to toggle on/off trueplay on Android. Will the new app also get this feature. I found it quite useful.

If I add an album from the local music library to the queue using the android app (play button, play now, replace queue, etc) on the now playing screen under the song name will be artist name - artist name. It will show this way on all devices now playing screens (andriod, ios, mac os).But if I add an album using any other device or app (not andriod sonos app), the the now playing screen displays correctly under the song name, artist name - album name. It will also show correctly on the andriod app’s now playing screen.I did a support chat which ended with them saying I should call support to report / escalate. Which I did. The support agent seemed to not care or didn’t believe me. Not sure which.I would appreciate if someone could confirm this behavior.Thanks!

Need help from this group (and Sonos): I was on the phone with tech support yesterday trying to solve this problem: I have an Arc Ultra, 8 Architectral ceiling speakers in Family Room, plus two more in Kitchen (separate amps for each). If I watch TV, sound bar comes on when tv is on via hdmi, as intended. Volume is often too low while watching HBO, for instance, so I use the Sonos app to add the ceiling speakers while using the soundbar. That way, volume and sound is improved.Here’s the problem: if I turn off the tv, and then turn it on later, the group I made by adding the ceiling speakers is “remembered”, so the volume is quite loud on YouTube TV, for instance, when I select that app with the tv remote.The goal: when the tv gets turned on, the only speaker that comes on should be the soundbar. Sonos support advised to turn off “tv auto play” for the ceiling speakers and also turn on “tv autoplay” and “ungroup on autoplay” in the sound bar settings. The idea is that t

This happened 2 weeks ago and was resolved by unpairing 2 slone speakers. Since unparing all has been OK until yesterday 24/6/25, now the 2 set of alarms we have, have dropped, and worst of all cannot ser another alarm. Very frustrating as this is a major part of our Sonos setup. How do we get a fix?

I deleted all albums from my Amazon music library. Despite signing out of Amazon music and back in, removing Amazon music as a service and adding it back, turning my phone off and back on, clearing caches etc, the Sonos app still shows dozens of albums which were previously in my Amazon music library. Any ideas how to fix this greatly appreciated.

I have tried all the fixes and nothing works. Has anyone had success? I am on a Mac and the only way I can play an itunes playlist is by using airplay.

For several months my speakers have been unusable.The android app crashes immediately on loading and has been updated multiple times. I no longer use this. At this stage I would just like to be able to play something on my speakers with the desktop app.The desktop app has virtually no options available and notifies me I need to update. It does seem to “see” the speaker but I can’t control it in any way. When I try this I always get the error 1101.I have turned off all of my 7 speakers except one play 1 which is cabled into my router. My laptop is also connected by cable to the router. It runs Windows 10.I have tried everything I can think of and everything I have seen on these forums. Multiple power off and on and ensured no firewall or other wifi settings are blocking the sonos application. It seems the application can never connect to the sonos server to perform the update. Hi, I have messaged about this before and you told me that you could see it was an issue for iPhone users only but that it wasn’t a priority. I’d really like it to be fixed, because after all this time it appears to me that it’s not going to be. The issue is that the when I try and ‘continue listening’ a BBC Sounds title it just starts from the beginning.  

In the app Apple Music’s logo just shows an ! I’ve reauthorised the service but still the same! Music plays from Apple Music by where has the logo gone 🥴🤔thanksMD

So what appears to be a common issue I experience is that if I quit the Sonos app on my MacBook Air (Sequoia 15.5), it is a roll of the dice if I can reopen the app and for it to reconnect to my system (2 x Symfonisk speakers in other rooms).It turns out the workaround is to go into System Settings, Privacy & Security, Local Area Network and then to toggle off the setting assigned to Sonos then turn it back on.  THEN it will let me use the controller of my system.  I know it’s not the speakers themselves as they work perfectly well via the app on my phone.Is anyone else experiencing this and why isnt Sonos fixing this?  I sent a diagnostics report to Technical support and the response was that everything is ok.

Hello … with all the issues last year with the update that caused a LOT of people a LOT of headaches and/or issues with their systems, particularly those of us who still have Play 1 speakers as part of our speaker collection. I myself, have 6 Play 1’s, as well as a Sonos Beam and a Roam (the Roam’s battery died, yay!!). I have been holding off on the update because I was so concerned about either losing functionality and/or issues with my library. So I am on version 16.1 of my controller on my PC (Windows). The app is up-to-date on my iPhone, but once it prompted me to update my system and will not allow me to use it unless I do, I stayed with my PC controller only and like many of you, started using SonoPhone. I mainly control my music on my computer, but the app is helpful at times, obviously. With the Roam battery dying, I replaced the battery and it worked, but there was pops andcrackling in the speaker, particularly on low end. I do not believe I damaged the speaker itself, but

For the past few weeks, I am unable to search for songs to play from Youtube Music using the Sonos App. It is happening both on my Android phone and on my iPad app. I get this message “An error occurred with YouTube Music. Try again later.” I have tried removing and re-adding the YouTube music account on the Sonos app but the error remains.All other functions with Youtube Music seems to be working (playing songs from the YouTube Music home menu, mixes, libraries etc.) 

My Sonos One updated to the current release (85.0) and I began having issues with it dropping from my WiFi network. After trying to resolve it, I finally just reset it to factory default and added it back via the iOS app (also the most current version). Note that I'm on iOS 18.5. At first it seemed to not be able to display “Recently played” so I elected to disable the option.  Now I'm trying to reenable it but cannot find the setting anywhere in the app. Hoping someone can direct me where to find that. 

I have owned my Sonos for a number of years, when it works, it is fine, but I have spent, literally, hours and hours trying to figure out why it doesn’t want to play my music collection. I’ll finally get it to play, it’s great for a period, then it starts all over again. I’m about ready to just junk it, and consider it a lesson learned.

Ok so newer to Sonos. I’ve had a Sonos Playbar soundbar (older non-AirPlay capable) connected to my TV via an optical cable. I wanted the ability to AirPlay to it without turning on the TV so I purchased a set of Sonos Era 100 speakers to 1) add AirPlay functionality and 2) give my entire primary living space synced music.Is there a way to make this AirPlay to all 3 devices automatic? I have it setup in the Sonos App as a group with all 3 devices but to get sound on all 3 devices I have to start music, Then AirPlay to both the Era 100 speakers with the iPhones native AirPlay menu but then I have to go into the Sonos App to add the older Soundbar. Works great once going but hoping I’m missing something that would make it easier. 

Pretty much every Saturday 3 or 4 of the regional stations disappear from the CBC Music On Air. Tried on line chat support and seemed to have confirmed the issue but the chat suddenly ended.

I had subsonic working in the past and. would like to set it up again. However I cannot see the service in the S1 or S2 apps I have two systems - Any advice would be appriciated.

For the last few months I’m completely unable to play anything from Apple Music on an iPhone to ANY Sonos device in my house. Apple will see them, it will show as starting playing - then nothing plays and it stops after a few seconds.As an aside, what was once a great system is now an ‘also ran’ in my mind. So much spent on Sonos with such frustration at this point.Yes, it will play music from the Sonos App.Yes, it will play Apple Music from the Sonos app.No, it cannot create stations like Apple Music does. 

I can’t play music on the YouTube music app via airplay. It works fine when using YouTube music via the Sonos app so I know I know there are no connectivity issues. I would rather play music via the YouTube music app and airplay as the app is way more intuitive and better to use than using YouTube music via the Sonos app. I’ve been having this issue for months now and it’s extremely frustrating. I’ve tried so many different trouble shooting steps from turning the speakers & phone off and on. Checking airplay settings, checking YouTube music settings and checking Sonos app settings and full removal and reset of Sonos devices… please help!! Lol

Ever since the app “redo” a basic function has been missing when playing podcasts via the Sonos app:  the ability to fast forward in 30-second and rewind in 15-second increments.   I’ve read that Sonos thinks this is not necessary because one can ask the Sonos voice assistant to fast forward or rewind.  There are two key reasons why this does not work well: 1) it assumes one has Sonos voice assistant enabled on every speaker and 2) it takes longer than tapping an icon.  I’ve also read that Sonos says we can just drag the timestamp to where we want.  True, but 30-second increments are perfect for skipping ads in podcasts and it’s difficult to be that precise with a slider.
