I am trying to update my Sonos app on my Mac and getting the message: “An unexpected error occurred. Please try again”

During set up, my app recognizes my new Port, ask’s do you want to add, proceeding to add, it say  “We couldn't find any Sonos products on your mobile device's network so we can't set up your Port. Please tryit again”   I tried all of the guidance given, even connecting to the network with a Ethernet cable…still no luck!  80 min wait for phone support????  Help??

I just update my system to 16.2 using the new Sonos app. The update appeared to run smoothly with no glitches. After running update I checked the About in my system and it showed my Arc, all 4 of my Play1s, my two Play5s, and my Sub were on 16.2, but my two ERA300s (used as rear surrounds) still showed 16.1. I had the Sonos app check for updates and it stated my system was up to date. Anybody else had there ERA300s not update to 16.2?

Someone at Sonos redefined “TuneIn” to some commercial service, which I’ll never use.   I’m not seeing the list of channels I have configured in the older version of “TuneIn” on iOS, only on MacOS which is still running the older controller (Sonos hasn’t updated it).Now, is there some mystery behind this -- as I have *many* channels (URLs) that I listen to that are not in the list of companies/services that you can ( + ) Add.   The iOS app does show what is currently playing and I can stop the music, control volume.  But the iOS app still doesn’t see the speakers, which I assume is yet *another* bug they introduced.Anyone know about this, with the old-form of TuneIn and streaming URLs?I can’t even browse my iOS Music with the Sonos App.

Updated to the latest Sonos app (Sonos OS=S2, Build=80.00.08). Tapped Soundtrack Player icon under “Your Services” on new home page. Soundtrack Player page attempts to load but fails. Displays “Something went wrong. Try again.” error message at the top of page.  Soundtrack Player content displayed and worked correctly for over a year prior to this upgrade. So this is not a new setup issue… something just stopped working. Things I’ve already tried:Verified the Soundtrack Player service was working as expected as per the https://status.sonos.com/ page. Closed and reopened the Sonos app.  Reauthorized the Soundtrack Player service. Deleted and completely reconnected the Soundtrack Player service.I can’t think of anything else to try. We use Sonos with Soundtrack Player at two locations and are experiencing the same issue at both locations. I would appreciate any help resolving.Thanks!   

My Move speaker will not connect to my system since the new app of a few weeks ago. I’ve tried everything including a factory reset. Any ideas? Thank you. 

So under the new Sonos app I have noticed something and was wondering if any one knows the answer to the following question please?i have a full atmos setup with the Arc, Woofer and Sonos One speakers   I also have two Era 100 in another room working as a stereo pair   i use Apple Music as my main music source   when I play music through Arc I get Dolby atmos which is indicated on the app  I also get a lossless indicator if the music track is lossless and not atmos   if I play music through my Era 100’s I never get lossless indicator even when playing the same track? surely the Era100 speakers are capable of steaming lossless audio??  Looking at the technical specs they should be capable??? anyone know why??   thanks G   

I just updated to the new IOS Sonos app, and I cannot find where/how to access the “Music Library” stored on my Mac computer.  it was visible and working before the update.

Long story short, trying to add another Beam to my existing system. Tried wired, wireless, factory reset etc etc. Fails every time at different stages. Managed to get through to support chat after a while and half way through ended up closing the page by mistake 😭It is a gen 1 beam but already have 2 added previously without any issues.  Just wondering if it’s an app issue or a beam issue.  thanks David 

I have downloaded the new app and now all of my pinned amazon music now states ‘unable to load content’. For instance, playlists, stations, my music etcIf I click on the Amazon music service icon, there is nothing there eitherI have deleted the app and tried again, deleted Amazon music and then re authorised, but no joysee pictureDoes anyone have any ideas on how to get it back?thanks, Ian 

Come on SONOS sort this out and stop blaming other providers routers that work perfectly with all my other wifi dependent devices. I now have 5 speakers that are basically useless as they cannot connect to the new app - WHY!!

Sonos is on my desktop and plays through 3 speakers dotted around the house. iTunes is also on the desktop but we had to copy the music to a Buffalo stack when Apple fell out with Sonos. I normally control Sonos from my iPad but the main dashboard is on the desktop. Up until last week this system worked very well but last week Sonos won’t connect to my music saying that access to PC/music denied. The Sonos radio still works fine! Can anybody help??

I have turned off auto updates and reinstalled the old version of the sonos app, the one that actually functions. I have done this 3 days in a row now, but somehow sonos is still updating to that dysfunctional new update. Why is disabling auto update not working?

How do I use the new app I seem to just go around in circles and then I am unable to do anything with it. I can’t even change between tv and radio!

I have two era 100s setup in stereo mode and when I connect to them via spotify connect by playing the song, it will connect but no audio will play until I skip the song I wanted to play and go to the next one. The only way I can get it to immediately play the current song I want is to skip to the next one and then go back. This is a minor issue but very annoying so would appreciate a solution. Many thanks

Hi there, I am using Sonos in a commercial setting with Soundtrack Your Brand. We have been having an issue where once a playlist plays through once, the music will just stop. I can’t find a way to loop or queue new playlists through the app. Has anyone experienced anything similar or know a fix to this?

Why new application is such a disaster?Why no answer to call made ? because 60 minutes of delay to have someone on the phone, who will wait?Funny part is that the sonos one is playing music But the disaster application do not detect the system... which is working!AwfulWhat are you doing to solve this?Is there anyone behind digital screens?

Now that it seems pretty clear we will never get this back to the standard iPhone app, are there any good alternative on the App store to be able to control the Sonos system from the lock screen of the iPhone ?Thanks

updated app-system is not working.

Since the new app update my sub won’t now add to the app or system. I can’t remove it because it’s not registered. It seems the app has thrown it off

It doesn’t work! Worked fine for years on the old app. Delete recreated the alarm, nothing. Works with Pandora.

Couldn’t help but notice that the mobile apps for Sonos have been pretty thoroughly broken. I can confirm that the S2 application for windows still works. Problem is, I cant find a copy of the installer. It seems to have been pulled in favor of a cloud based service with the same (lack of) functionality as the new mobile apps. I’m very unimpressed by the new cloud based service. If I had wanted an invasive web service in my home, I would have a house full of google products.Does anyone know where I can download a copy of the Sonos S2 Application Installer for windows?
