Controllers and Music services

Suddenly I am seeing adverts for new Sonos products IN THE MIDDLE OF THE APP WHICH SHOULD ONLY BE CONTROLLING MY SYSTEM!Sorry for the Donald Trump-like CAPITALS, but I really wanted to shout it out loud enough for Sonos directors to hear.

First, i add my voice to the chorus.  A few days ago i had a wonderful Sonos systemt working perfectly for YEARS and the software updated and now i have NOTHING.  I, along with many an FURIOUS.I cannot acces any of the stored music i have stored on a mac at home that serves all my Sonos devices.  I can access some online services ..but the new all really horrbile.I tried to update from Itunes and it tells me i do not have permissions.  I am not sure which itunes folder i used before, becasue, of course all those settings were lost when the sustem updates.   Where does Ituens store its local music?  I dont see a director called /sonosWhere do i set permissions to get itunes ..   this worked perfectly a week ago ..I woudl appreciate anyones suggestions. Tom

I think the new app has no ability to update your music library?I have been using a non-updated controller on my windows machine to actually play music. But now it has greyed out “update music library”. Although it still lets me access it just fine.Is “update music library” disabled in the windows controller because it wants to update the controller version? If so, will it update to a new version that also doesn’t work? Does Sonospad have the ability to do this?How does one add music to the system while waiting for a new working controller app to come out?Is it possible to have side-by-side installs of two versions on my PC?

Searching in the new app is still broken when searching Yousee musik. In the old app I could switch to classic search  I can browse the Yousee musik service. I have tried to delete and add the service again with no luck  I hope you will look into this problem

I have looked at the new app roadmap and cannot see any mention of restoring local playlist management. Why not?

How can I instantly mute my speakers?

Hello,why recently played doesn’t work at all? Only endlessly rotation circle..., why missing logos of radio stations (myTuner Radio) in Favorites. Both in the most recent update of S2 app (the same issue on iPad and iPhone (ios17). Can you fix it?

sonos can not add a music folder

Since new sonos app, I noticed that Apple Lossless logo doesn’t appear and doesn’t work when you are using Playbar o Play 1. It only work with the latest products such as Ray or One SL. The volume is poor and the audio quality is minimum. Once you only use the new products and erase Playbar and Play 1 from the listening, Apple lossless logo appear again and the sound grows. Insane! Before the new app everything worked well and sound was outstanding. I am just hoping this is not a maneuver to get rid of old speakers and be forced to get the new ones. 

I’m finding the new app very buggy regarding music library access. The new app (unlike the old) wont play most content from the music library shared from my PC, but it can find the library and display the content (albums).  I then press play, and it just spins or says “something went wrong”. Also, certain content works - most doesn’t. And weirdly, via the new Sonos WEB app I can play all content from my music library (and then control it via the new iOS app). So the browser on my iPad can get to the content and play it, where my iOS iPad app can’t play that same music library content. But once it is playing via the web app, I can control it in the iOS app.But this is a clunky workaround to say the least.Anyone have a fix?

When the speakers connect, they’re great. But when they don’t, I spend too much time, much unsuccessful, trying to connect them. And it is a common issue. Getting help requires payment even though it is Sonos’s fault. Sonos seems to invest everything into speaker performance and no in the connection software. With all these problems, is there a class action?

Ok so I have been a fan of Sonos and even bought some stock years ago but what happened! This new app is tragic.  I would like to know why Sonos didn’t release this new update to the Beta community to test out like they have some of the last major changes.  If they did they may have been able to solve what I have seen is one of the biggest fails by the new app and that is simply adding music to a queue that you are currently listening to. I haven’t even tried making a new playlist yet but now I’m wondering how to do it at all. Do you have to fabricate some offsite folder that has a playlist in it that you’ve struggled hours to make hoping you don’t hit the “replace the queue” button or do you have to do it by voice control only or….?  What the hell. The easiest thing to do was add a song to a playlist you have already made and now that’s impossible?  No good.  So if I was to grade this new update it would get an F+!  If I was an employee of say McDonalds and I said “hey why don’t we st

Qobuz not functioning properly with the new app. Cannot find content of My Playlists, or My Artists. Everything worked perfectly with the old Sonos app. Very frustrating!

Audiobooks not displaying content. Message says "something went wrong".When I try to remove it so I can re add it there is a message saying "Service not found"

I tried many of the things listed for the recent error 913 for Windows 10. None worked unfortunately. I want to thank all those who posted proposed solutions. What blows my mind is why we - as customers of Sonos - need to turn into tech wizards and try to figure this out as opposed to Sonos rolling out a fix...  Hey Sonos, wake up and do your job please. How do I prevent your application from advertising to me? I have “in app” deselected for notifications in My Profile but this does not prevent advertisements when I log into your app to control my speakers.  Not a big fan of the new app’s design in general, but it's unacceptable to get advertised at.  

How do I “end session” in the new Sonos app?  I started Sirius XM in one speaker with Alexa. I need to not pause it but rather end that session so I can play it in another speaker. I am restricted to one instance of Sirius at a time. 

I do not have Apple Music subscription so can’t link a library to Sonos. However I do have purchased music in my Apple account so how can I physically move it to my Sonos library.

The Sonos update page says this function was restored 6/4 (add to queue). That MUST be true only for IOS. I have Android and cannot add to queue. If they can’t fix this nonsense, at least they could tell the truth - UPDATE THAT PAGE with information about when Android customers will have this function EXACTLY

Do the people who design these apps actually try/use or test them and are they music lovers ???.It doesnt seem that way. The old app had is issues but nothing in comparison to the so called upgrade.I had to prefix one of my five speaker names with a Z to stop it automatically  playing on start up.The graphics for the track you are listening to are from a previous track ??Sometimes The track playing cant be stopped.Am I alone in these issues  

In the old App I could locate missing products by running a search for missing products process. Where is this in the new App? Any ideas? Close to packing in with Sonos at this point.

WHat is going on sonos, complete app failure, no new product is setting up after recent update!  tried with IOS & Android Samaung / Pixel, fails every time! no matter the network or product used to setup.  All equipment updated, reset network etc etc, please dont give me script read generic awnsers!!
