Controllers and Music services

Using the new app I am unable to search Pandora by artist, song, album or genre.  When I search all, I get results on Amazon and Sonos, but nothing on Pandora.  Also, if I choose to play a song on Amazon, a different song plays than the one which was selected.  Is Sonos conspiring against these other services?

I'm a custom AV installer & have over 100 Connects, Connect:Amps, Sonos Amps, Ports, Playbars, Arcs, etc in the field that my clients depend on me to manage. A few days before the 'Hiroshima' update, I just had finished installing a 20-zone Sonos Amp system in a new home. Fortunately, I was able to keep that client (and almost all of my other clients) from updating. I've been doing triage for the few that did get updated... not much fun. So much for background... I do need help solving one issue: During the install & testing of that 20-zone system, I had added my personal Qobuz account so I'd have some decent-quality music to test the speakers, set the room EQs, etc. HOWEVER, I'm now unable to remove my Qubuz account because that feature is greyed out. I tried thru both the iOS app and thru the Windows app... but all manage service or add service or remove service features are grayed out. All I get is the rub-it-in-your-face "App needs updating.... limited functionality..." mes

In the new Sonos app, the music library does not appear. I would like to review Artists, Albums, Compilations, etc.I know that I can search for a specific tune or artist.All I see now are System, Recently Played, Your Services and Sonos Favorites.I sometime prefer to scroll through my music to pick out a song or artist.

After the new app update, I am mot able to add my beam to the app. I did a factory reset and it added my Play 1s that I have, but I’m not able to add my beam. I was able to add the beam once, but it started an update and it was not able to complete the update and it didn’t get added. Second time I tried, I skipped the update, but when I try to connect to my TV, the beam is not detecting my TV. Note that everything was working fine before the app update - so it’s not about unplugging and plugging in the speaker and router settings etc.  For a speaker system that relies heavily on the software, this is a big miss and how can I trust any Sonos product in the future where a simple app update can essentially brick my speakers? All the best with your new headphones that was released this week if you have an app that behaves like this. 

My Sonos system is showing the time in GMT when I check on my desktop app so the alarms are all incorrect as I am based in Australia.  I can’t find any way of correcting this.

Hi, Does anybody know how the alarms works on the Sonos app?When installed to the preferred time, frequency, volume and (in this case) Spotify playlist- It does not play. Previously I used the alarms on daily basis without any problems (old app version) /Tobias

My music library gone from phone app & now laptop - what can I do?

Hi,Until the app update i had no problem to listen to all the songs present in a folder. Now it’s impossible to play several songs in a row.For example : Library->folder→ “Various” I can’t choose to play all the songs from this folder. If I click on the first song at the end of it it will not play the second one.If I choose “Album” instead of “Folder” it works.Thanks for your help 

Plex connects correctly. Browsing through Plex works too. But playing anything does not work at all.plex server is running locally on Synology with latest version. Sonos is updated to latest version too. i tried to play on any of my Sonos speakers  what am I doing wrong?

The Audiobook don't synchronize with the Storytel server. If I am away from my Sonos system and listen to my book on the Storytel app. When I come home and turn on the book on Sonos it doesn't continue, it starts from the beginning. The same happens if I in the middel of a book switch over and play some music. When I go back to the book it start from the beginning. It worked fine with the old software/app.

Maybe I’m an outlier, but as a Sonos customer since the days of the ZonePlayers and CR100 controllers, I have a huge music library on a Synology NAS that I use primarily; I am not a big user of these “services” that the new app seems to put an emphasis on. After foolishly updating my app last night I was able, after much time and effort, to find my music library and play a couple tunes as a test. Ok, it worked. None of my carefully curated album art displayed and so I figured tonight I’d be posting a message asking if anyone knew why that was. Instead, tonight in my app I find that my music library is gone, gone, gone. Can somebody please explain how to get it back? The gear icon for settings is strangely devoid of much in the way of settings, including anything regarding the music library. When is added Apple Music, the first song played. Now it shows songs playing, with no sound

Sonos support writes the following on how to evaluate your network:"Understanding the Network Details section in the Sonos appIn the Sonos app, you can see detailed networking information for each product connected to your router’s WiFi network. Note that these details will not appear for Sonos products in a wired setup, products being used as home theater surround speakers or subwoofers, or a Sonos Move when in Bluetooth mode. Go to the  Settings menu and select the name of one of your rooms. Select the name of one of the products within that room. Under the Status section, select Network to see the network details for that product. At the top of the Network Details screen, you’ll see the name of the connected WiFi network as well as a signal strength indicator of Excellent, Good, or Weak."I go in under Settings, choose a room, choose the Amp there - and see no status section. The new app works on my phone but not at all on my iPad. If I’m out no one at home can access the Sonos!Any suggestions would be helpful - other than replacing Sonos with Alexa!!!!

How do I queue three albums to play on the new app? I do this every night to get me to sleep...

The Sonos app (iOS) recently updated with a new layout. I can no longer enable/disable sub audio for my system. The toggle for it doesn’t seem to do anything, and if I toggle it off, leave, and return to the screen it shows as on again.I enable or disable my sub depending on whether my neighbors are around, and now I can’t control it. Suggestions?

I would like to see ALL ALBUMS ONLY for a particular artist, and after playing one, easily return to the list. I’m quite surprised I can’t figure this out.  Instead, I see a mix of singles and albums, and the list isn't as extensive as what I find in APPLE MUSIC library when going through that directly. Is this a missing feature? I used to browse in this manner with the previous app version.  Second minor point, I seem to get a conflated list when multiple artists have the same name (John Williams), but Apple Music itself will show multiple artists, and can drill down to their respective lists (by song or album).  I’m going to be real embarrassed if this is just a click I didn’t find...

“Unable to connect to Sonos product”Not playable at all. App is now dead on Mac desktop & iOS devices. 

iheart radio and only getting U.S.A. stations before the las update i used to listen to stations near me in quebec canada .how can i fix this 

Since switching my Sonos One to a new wifi network and having to do a factory reset to set it back up my alarms have gone crazy.  It does not play the alarms I set over the speaker (although it looks like the music is playing based on app notifications) and it is setting i off alarms (using my selected favorites at least) at times I have never had set - - 7 am everyday, other random times during the day but consistent. I’ve tried deleting all alarms and resetting them, looked at all the app settings.  It’s not as if it’s holding a memory of old alarms and the time zone is correct. I use google voice assistant and spotify and sonia radio.  Help!  I’m at a loss. 

Can someone please explain how I can cast directly to my Play1,s from the plexamp app. I have plex pass and can play from the sonos app but no way can I see how to make sonos a "player" under the casting icon.?I have sonos 2 installed on my android phone.

Think twice before you install the new SONOS app as at least the following features are no longer available (temporarily or permanently):Sleeptimer has disappeared completely. Either you sleep the entire night with music on or you wake up to switch off the music… Quite defeats the purpose. Alarms: creating and editing an alarm is no longer possible. You can only toggle an existing alarm on and off. Local music library: make sure you don’t remove it as it is no longer possible to add a local music library stored on a NAS or shared device. Also the search doesn’t work on the local library any longer; it only searches the online music services. Sonos seems to have finally let down its initial user population that made Sonos big before music streaming services existed…Either this is a deliberate choice by Sonos to reduce the functionality or someone validated a pre-beta release for production to meet some preset deadlines… In any case, don’t upgrade if you need these features.

Today, again, my alarm did not go off at the appointed time. This has been happening on a weekly basis since the launch of the new app.This alarm is configured to go off on weekdays at 6.35am, play a random song from a playlist (creatively called 'Wake-up songs'), play at 10% volume, and run for 2 hours.Yesterday morning, the alarm went off at 6.35 normally, and I woke up.Today, I woke at 6.53, and noticed that my alarm was utterly silent.In the app, I could then verify that:The alarm was still configured as described The alarm was switched on The Sonos app was not reporting any issuesHowever, the playlist for the Sonos One by my bed was entirely empty, which is inexplicable as I hadn't done anything since waking up from the alarm yesterday. Normally, the song that woke me up is in the playlist until the next morning.I've already reinstalled the new app after deleting app data and cache. I've also recreated the alarm. The issue keeps popping up. What's the fix?

While the new controller on android still can’t deal with libraries, it does at least “work”. But on my iPad the new controller doesn’t even want to draw the screen or do anything.
