Today...for the first time after spending months trying to follow confusing and incorrect ‘support’ via the community after the app update basically bricked my system...after calling...chatting...with others...I got Dana...finally (after spending 1.5 hours on the phone) got my system operational! I want to thank them for their unbelievably patient and personable support!I have asked them to screen shot what we did.  In real terms all of us could do this ourselves...if we had clear guidance.  Not words and links but images and steps.The full library integration is still not there...but that I can wait for.  Not being able to listen to my music for months...was unacceptable.It is a lovely sunny day here made even better with the excellent support provided today by Dana!!Just call them...and they will screen share...and they will sort it out...or at least Dana will ;)

When Sonos gone fix the App, that you can control balance and EQ from the volume section? 

Latest (08/06/2024) app and firmware.Browse library to a song and start playing to a device, or group, with the play button. Music starts, confirm the queue by expanding the device from the bottom screen, view the queue list from the bottom left list icon. Queue shows the playing song. Return to the library and browse to a 2nd song (or album). Select "Add to End of Queue" or "Play Next". Dialog pops up with "Added to Queue". Expand Device from the bottom again and select the Queue list from the bottom left. The Queue list shows "Unable to load. Please try again".No matter how many times you 'try again' the queue is not displayed. The music plays on and even the newly adding song(s) will play. There is no way to get the queue to show up (and no way to clear the queue on Android), adding new songs doesn't do it, selecting a song to "Play Now" doesn't do it. This view of the queue will persist. What will 'fix' it is if you select a new song (album) and select the play button, or select "R

The Android widget and native Android Media Controls were removed, please add to roadmap.

Amongst all the broader issues of stability and missing features, the rounded corners give away how rushed this app update was. While the padding/radius for the search bar within the top card looks okay… The radius for the outer corner of search and now playing cards don’t match. This sort of thing, across the app, makes everything feel even jankier. Or is it just me?  

Is there a plan to bring back the Android widget? I strongly dislike having to open the app just to change tracks. I'm not always right next to hardware to do it manually/physically. Also, I detest volume sliders. The music software industry needs to dump them as a whole. My fat fingers are not dexterous enough to adjust the volume a unit at a time. PLEASE change to large toggle + or - symbols or even arrows. And while you are at, work on that awful input lag.Thank you.

Another app issue! Recently, when I open the app on any device it takes between 3 to 5 minutes before playing music is possible. All my devices show empty queues, then after a few minutes they refresh and show what was last being played, only then can I select music to play.Is this a known app issue?

Sonos managed to change an easy to manage app into a complex maze. It is a downgrade. Please fix it. I knew how bad it was. Unfortunately pressed the upgrade by mistake….  I am paying. 

Can anyone tell me where or how to reauthorise my apple music app? My desk top app saysit needs to be reauthorised, and then says this needs to be done on my phone. I can’t see howor find instructions on SOnos Support. I am beginning to wonder if it is a casualty of the infamous May downgrade to the iOS app, or simply me not having a clue(or a complex and diffiicult interface for users who expect simplicity). I am quite certain that i used to be able to do this from the desk top app.Any guidance appreciated.EnEm

Please test your software before you release it to the public!we have just about every Sonos product they make and this latest update prevented us from using any of the speakers until we were able to reboot our router, unplug each device (about 25 of them), and keep launching the update.  It made me realize how much we have invested in Sonos and how one issue like this could cause us to potentially flush thousands of dollars down the drain.  We will be looking for alternatives in the future rather than buying more Sonos products.  This is absolutely unacceptable for speakers with such a high price point!

My Sonos Radio account access has expired.I click on reauthorize, then authorize, and it brings me back to the original “has expired” screen.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app.I have reset and re-added the speakers.I have logged out and logged back in.After 2 weeks and investing literally hours of time into this nonsense, Sonos still cannot add its own music service.These people are so incompetent I don’t even know where to start.

I thought it would be useful to have a comprehensive list of issues with the new app that have been reported in these forums.  Ideally Sonos would have something to track these issues eg. Apple Feedback Assistant, Microsoft Feedback Hub, Bugzilla, etc.  Unfortunately they don’t.  To kick things off, I created the following list using Perplexity.  Please add missed issue or correct issues misreported.  Please DON’T add comments on how upset you are, or how great the new app is, or engage in dialog.  There are plenty of posts like that already. Just post a one line description of the problem you know of.  I hope we can create a comprehensive list of issues in one easy to read thread that would be useful to the community and the dev’s. Playlist and Queue Management IssuesUnable to Add Songs to Queue: Users cannot add songs to a playlist or queue. So a big thanks also to “helpingiskind” @HelpingIsKind So as far as windows users go, sorry not sure about iOS users here, but the crucial things after updating the windows app for W10+, you need to turn on “Advanced Sharing” in windows, and make sure that your music library whether it’s stored on a NAS or just an ext usb drive, or internal drive is added to your library. So this is the example that helpingiskind gave:Please right-click on the Music Folder > Properties > Advanced Sharing > Add Sonos Wireless HiFi System to Read/Write:Then go to Sonos settings on your laptop and add “My Music folder” and it will sync.  Because the android app is terrible, I rolled back to the version 78 and found the .apk for that and then the app works like it’s used to and marries to the W10 controller app nicely….which has also caused the update issues along with the apps for android/apple to be very annoying! Good luck and lets hope the next update from Sonos makes things nice n easy for ev

Hey alltwo Days ago i had to set a new PW to my Spotify acc. Since then i cant connect it to the Sonos app. I tried it multiple times, i logged out and in in Spotify, Sonos I d restarted everything.  It always says „something went wrong“, when i try to connect it. What can I do?

Hi I’d like to request a feature for the SONOS App (I am using MacOS) I often mix different spotify playlist with similar genre. However they often happen to have some same songs in them. I’d love to have an option where i can automatically delete duplicate songs in the list thats playing.That would be really lovely. Because there’s nothing i hate more than listening to a song twice :) Best Regards

Hi,It worked at first in het new app, but now the circle to control the playbar is gone? The only way to control volume is with apple tv remote. I tried turning it off and on twice already. Any suggestions?Niels 

HiSince downloading the new app, when using Mixcloud, all of my playlists have been removed ?....I've spent nearly 10 years building them, to not be able to access any makes Sonos useless to me. Is there a solution or workaround to this please, I'm desperate !

I have a Synology NAS with my Music Library (13.8K tracks, all FLAC, very obsessively tagged and Album Arted over about 15 happy years with Sonos) on it.  The Library contains 167 Compilation albums with some 3.6K tracks. Compilation albums have the Album Artist listed as Various Artists and each track has its own Artist.  Regular albums have the headline artist in both Album Artist and Contributing Artist fields, so the headline artists appear in both the Album Artist and Contributing Artist lists in the Sonos app, but artists who are only on Compilations only appear in the CA list.It has always frustrated me that there has never been a Search facility for the CAs despite the fact that when the Library is indexed the CA list is always populated, which is indicated by the fact that, when you toggle the “View Contributing Artists” switch in the Music Library menu the CA list appears immediately without having to re-index.I have, since the May 7 ambush, multiple versions of the Controlle

I am the author of the SpotifyPlus integration used in the Home Assistant home automation software.  I am trying to figure out how to specify the call parameters for a Sonos device to the Spotify Connect ZeroConf “addUser” endpoint, which is called to login to Spotify Connect for the specified device.  I am currently using a Sonos IKEA Symfonisk (gen 2) device to test with, as well as a Spotify Premium account.A Spotify Connect Zeroconf login needs to be done programmatically so that the Sonos device can be accessed by Spotify Connect after a period of inactivity.  The Sonos device automatically logs out of Spotify Connect after the inactivity period, and needs to be re-awakened (e.g. login again) in order to be selected.In working with other vendors that support Spotify Connect (Bose, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc), they use a “tokenType=accesstoken” in the addUser parameters.  The “blob” parameter is formatted with a Spotify user-id and password value, and the addUser call successfully logs the

Certain services such as Global Player and Absolute Radio are showing no content and favourites from those services won't play - whether from the app or connected system like Smartthings.This started today. It seems intermittent as sometimes it's ok which means trying fixes like app reset might seem to fix it but then later on those services show no content again.It might be regional as those services might not be as commonly used as TuneIn for example.

Its now mid august and my sonos app will not play.  Have to re authorise apple music anytime i log on.  Will not play anything just gives error message?…. Its expensive kit to be this garbage… any tips very welcome - im tempted to repatriate my sonos kit through their nearest shop window…

Is there a way to revert to the previous Sonos Mobile app on iphone..? Thankfully, we can use our desktop app for now, which I am definitely NOT updating!But this new mobile app version is unusable -- whoever designed it and whoever approved its release should be fired, it’s that bad!Please advise on ways to revert to the previous version. Sonos if you’re listening, please make this easy by posting the previous version on your downloads page for those of us (i.e., ALL of your users) who find the new version to be unusable and want to revert.  THANK YOU!

System not found message on loading app - not consistent - 3 attempts to load with closing app in between attempts - it then loads - other times it loads first try - bit anoying - anyone else - not a new router or poor wifi - another for the Sonos fix team
