Getting a new error today, when in the web app and I click on the song name in the lower left corner (not on the Room side-bar) the Internal Server Error screen pops up.

I had no reason to click there, originally bumped my trackball and was surprised by the error screen. Took a bit to track down exactly what I’d done to get it.

So new bug, known bug, doesn’t matter?

Interesting find :)

I was testing with Chrome on windows computer. Looking with Inspect, the web page also seems to have errors.

I then clicked a few times around and that error was always shown and eventually the speaker disappeared from the page. Refreshing the page then brought the speaker back but its queue had been emptied. I haven’t been able to reproduce this “disappearing speaker and queue emptying”, though.

So, I’d fix that especially if it’s possible to empty the queue inadvertently when the stars are aligned.

I can confirm the same experience on https://play.sonos.com/en-us/ when clicking on the bottom left hand corner to see what is playing.  I can also confirm that the same experience happens when clicking on any of the favorites from the home page.

However, when you click on View All on Sonos Favorites, selecting any station, playlist ...etc will work properly.

If am not mistaken, I actually believe this has been like this since the beginning of application being launched.

“Recently Played” seems to be working fine.  I might just log a support ticket for this one and submit the diagnostics.

Support ticket created and diagnostics submitted on this one - thought it might be worthwhile as I am one of those folks that use the web app more often than on my mobile 😊

Confirming I get the same internal server error in both scenarios. I’m using Safari on MacOS 15.0. I used to use the desktop app a lot, but I’m try to switch over to the web app for two reasons:

  1. For Apple Music and Tidal, a lot of options are not available on the MacOS app, only iOS and Web.
  2. Like you said, the desktop app is clearly going away. Combined with 1 above, and I figure I might as well start moving over. If I’m sitting on my computer, it’s easier to stay there to change music vs pulling out my phone or iPad.
