Controllers and Music services

Hello,New to Sonos. I have a pair of One SLs being delivered this week, an Arc on order and an S3 sub sitting here still in the box. I plan on using the SLs as a stereo pair in my office strictly for music.  When streaming high resolution music from the Sonos app via one of the music services, (Qobuz, Apple Music, etc.) does Sonos provide you with the audio format details such as the bit rate, sampling rate, etc. or does it simply just indicate HD or something along those lines?  Thank you. 

I accidentally hijacked a Sonos Move in the home of a relative, who lives in another city. I played music on her Move when I visited and was connected to her WiFi. Now when I got home and tried to play Spotify music on my own Move, the music comes from her speaker. This is spooky. I renamed my own Move and now I can choose which Move, in which city, to play music on. We are all on S2. Is this a bug or a feature? Is this a Sonos or Spotify problem?

I still don’t understand why the standard Deezer feature rich experience is not available inside the Sonos application. Sonos just does not want to make any improvements here and it would significantly improve my user experience. I was thinking of getting a 2nd Roam but if I want both stereo and missing options in Deezer’s native environment, I can’t do it because Roam wont support bluetooth sterio pairing and the Sonos environment won’t support the full Deezer experience. Disappointing.  

It’s 2022. It would be just an excellent experience to have a widget to add to support toggling volumes without needing to open the app. While I know there’s third party solutions I trust Sonos with both support and privacy. With Apple’s OS fully unified from mac to iPhone, it would be just a cherry on top for the Sonos ecosystem and help my older family easily interact with the speakers. 

Before Christmas I had telephone discussions about why having the above S2 and Mac OS combination  the former says it finds Sonos on my network but on clicking ‘lets connect’ eventually says Not Connected - Your Sonos Product was not found. I was told a solution is being worked on.Can anyone tell me when this issue is expected to be sorted (by Sonos or Apple)?Given my investment in Sonos and Apple products this is frustrating and I had expected a fix by now.Fortunately, my Sonos system remains usable via my mobile AppHelp!

I have a SONOS Move and there are two people in the house who use it.  We have individual Spotify accounts, and I want us to be able to log in separately.  Last week I was listening to spotify on my earbuds and she tried to listen on the SONOS and my playlist kept taking over the SONOS unit.  How can I avoid this? 

The app works so bad it is unbelievable.How can a major company get away with this?The Apple music so called integration works really really bad! Any plans for a new ?

(tv#1) I’m running a Sonos arc sound bar on a Samsung tv using the sonos2 app, All is working great. (tv#2) I’m running a Yamaha YAS-209 sound bar on a Samsung tv using the Yamaha app, all working great.Can I pair the Yamaha sound bar to the Sonos app so I can control everything in 1 app ? 

Have recently changed wifi routers. Followed the reinstall recs and seemed to have navigated that successfully…. except: When streaming from my Apple Music account (only), I seem to get sporadic skipping and ultimately an error message concerning the strength of my wifi. I do not have issues with Sirius, Sonos radio or streaming via a Bluetooth connection to my equipment. Thoughts? 

My neighbor can connect to my Sonos speaker, intermittently. How can I prevent this?

I am trying to stream Audible and Sonos won’t get past ~4:16 when I’ll get the error message ‘Unable to play ‘Audible’ access denied’. I will then restart Audible, it will play another 4:16 second and repeat the error, over and over.I called the Sonos 1-800 # and they said I was getting interference. I turned off my error network and this fixed the problem for about 24 hours. Now the issue is back.My other streaming services (Tidal, XM Radio) work fine and I’ve never had this issue. I’ve tried with a Sonos Roam in a different room and get the same problem. I’ve tried streaming Audible on my phone (not on Sonos) and I get past 4:16 easily, no problems. So, the issue has to be with Sonos. I’ve tried deleting the Audible access in the Sonos app and that didn’t solve anything.I’ve been using Sonos for 10+ years now and have never had a problem like this and am very frustrated.I’m using this with Alexa but the same problem happens when I use the

I have disabled Dolby Atmos in Amazon Music Unlimited but it still plays Dolby Atmos when using the Sonos app.I am not sure if this is an issue with the Sonos app not honoring the Amazon settings or if the integration with Sonos is with the Amazon development team.Either way, I would like to suggest that Sonos or Amazon exclude Dolby Atmos when it is not enabled in the Amazon music settings.Thanks,Wazza

Want to know where I should focus my energy to get lossless / hi res supported on Sonos.  Is it Sonos that hasn’t had time to implement, doesn’t plan to etc, or is it Apple that is restricting access to the higher quality streams.Support should be provided through the S2 App.

Any reason I can’t shuffle ‘all songs’ on iTunes via Sonos iOS app? Seems like basic functionality  UPDATE this functionality on Sonos exists with Sonos iTunes integration and works with playlists, just not ‘all songs’ like it does on iTunes app

EDIT: Was able to fix myself. Hi everyone. I just set up two of my Sonos One speakers. I am able to play a lot of my music using my device (Samsung Note 10, Samsung music App). It seems to be able to detect a lot of my playlists. However I added some new music, and the Sonos app cannot detect the playlist. I also took a closer look and there are a few other playlists it cannot detect. A few times now I have  done the “Update Music Index Now” feature and it seems to do nothing. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate the help, Thank you

I’m using an Elgato streamdeck and to get it to work for Sonos I need to use the shortcuts like cmd*In the help menu Sonos S2 show a long list of shortcuts but most of them doesn’t work. Is there some setting i need to change to get them to work 

Hello, I am trying to add my wife’s phone to our Sonos system. All say to:Open Sonos. From the Settings. tab, tap Services & Voice. Under Music & Content, tap Add a Service. Click on Add to SonosThe problem is I’m not given the option to Add to Sonos. There are dozens of apps and services to add, but non of them say Sonos except Sonos Radio and that’s not it. Please help. Thanks

My Sonos is not playing songs from certain folders on my Nas drive. These were playing fine until maybe a couple of weeks ago. I have tried adding the folders back in using the Music Library, which worked last week, but won't work now. Any ideas?

Hi. When a guest was visiting our home, they logged me out of my sonos account on my sonos system, so they could log into their account and play their music. They didn’t log out and now I can’t get into my “account” on the system. How do I log them out and get back to my account?

Must say I'm disappointed that several years after launching Sonos Radio HD, Australia still doesn't have it. Somewhat embarrassing infact that I literally just heard a Sonos Radio HD ad between songs on the Hit List station. You'd think they'd restrict that ad to only countries where such a service is available.  Any word on if they actually plan to roll this service out to beyond a small handful of countries? 

when i choose a station to play from an artist  it will play 2 or 3 songs in that genre and then start playing rock or unrelated artists or style.  example I set Ella Fitgerald station and after 3 songs lynrd skynrd startedc playing

Yesterday (Nov 2), Sonos updated the S1 Controller app for iOS and iPadOS to version 11.6.1.  These installed and work fine.At the same time my Mac, which is running S1 Controller for Mac version 11.5, indicated that there was an update available. When trying to run this update (which is named Sonos_57.13-34140.dmg and not 11.6 something), it crashed and failed.Has anyone else had this problem?

I see that Audible is not available for Sonos in Italy. Why is that, is there any plan to overcome the issue?I am a strong Audible user and is frustrating don't use it on my Sonos environment.Thanks!
