My Sonos Amp will not connect to my Furion outdoor TV. When going through TV setup, the app says “CEC not connected”.The Furion TV uses WebOS. I am using HDMI 2.1 cables. I am also using an audio extender over Ethernet. I tested with my TCL TV and it worked perfect. I used the same HDMI cables and the audio extender. Any suggestions?
Hey all, Got a strange issue with my Gen 2 Connect Amp - I'm trying to plug in a powered subwoofer into the subwoofer output port on the amp, however it doesn't seem to be working. When I plug it in with music playing, the amp will dip the main speakers for a second and the sub will start playing, then it cuts off again and the output goes quiet. I also can't see any sub adjustments on the product page in the sonos app. Any ideas? Anyone else seen this? Considering the wait time on the phone is 75 mins and the "live chat" feature in the UK is an outright lie, it would be nice to get some form of response on here. Also, I've tried another amp and the same thing happens with that one too. Tried different cables also. After trying multiple amps and multiple cables to no avail, I can only assume it's another broken feature that sonos will pretend we don't need. Moderator edit: combined posts
Hello. I have my TV’s line out hooked to my Sonos port as line in, so I can listen YouTube (or anything on the tv) in Sonos. It has been working fine for years until recently. I just discovered that, when the TV is not playing YouTube, I can see the Line in as a source, but when I open YouTube on the TV, the Line in option disappears from Sonos. Any ideas?
I have an existing Sonos system with a Beam (Gen 1) and two separate Play:1 speakers.I have 3 old receivers. I would like to integrate any 2 of them with 2 Ports in 2 independent stereo systems with wired speakers. There appears to be no way to add an attachment of PDF spec sheets here. Receivers are:2002 Harman Kardon HK 3375 stereo-definitely has tape in/out2002 Denon AVR-3802 7-channel-think has tape in/out2010 Onkyo TX-NR708 7-channel-don’t think has tape in/out but not sureFrom another thread @smghifiguy said:“Yes, a Sonos Port will plug into ANY receiver (just like a CD player will). However, without “Works With Sonos” means that in order to adjust volume for that Room, you either mess with 2 volume controls (receiver and app) or “fix” the volume on the Sonos and only use the receiver volume.”Can I also fix the volume on the receiver and adjust volume from the Android app? I can live with that? I see in some other threads an issue with latency delays in some receivers. Would tha
Unable to name my amp. Losing connection
Hii just installed a new BT wireless router but have been unable to connect it my existing Connect Amp wirelessly I can get Spotify to work with the Connect Amp if it is connected directly to my router with an Ethernet cable. The Sonos system did a software update on the Connect Amp and now tells me that it is App S2 compatible but still will doesn’t connect over Wi-Fi. Any assistance would be much appreciated.TIA COLIN
I have a large local mp3 music library, shared over SMB and set up in sonos (android app). With the old app (before the disaster upgrade) I could browse by folder and random/shuffle play an entire folder with all its contents/subfolders. I have my music sorted in folders hierachically, by country / genre / artist and I used this random play functionality all the time.In the new app all this functionality was gone, along with a lot of other essential functionality. I reverted back to the last old android app version, disabled auto update, and I was able to enjoy all those features. For a while. But suddenly (today, returning after a holiday) the old app did not work at all anymore. “An app upgrade was required” and nothing at all worked so I was *forced* to upgrade. This did not make me happy because I used to have everything working just how I liked it with the old version.I was a bit relieved when I discovered that my media library was accessible in the new app, including the browse by
I’ll admit I have some older units. But ran audio to the Line in on my connect in the basement to play down there and it immediately started playing on my playbar upstairs interrupting the tv audio. Eventually got it all separated but not for more than 5 minutes and it switched again. Combo of older equipment and new app?
Where is the autoplay setting for my port in the S2 app? Every time I play a vinyl on my TT which is connected to a Marantz amp and then to my port which streams music to my era 300’s. When I turn the vinyl over, my port pauses and I have to press 'play' again on the line in screen in the app. It is so annoying. I believe this shouldn't happen if there was an auto play function. I have read all Sonos instructions and it keeps telling me to set auto play on the port. Guess what? I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find the auto play function for my Port? Many thanks.
2days of frustrated time spent trying te set up this device. I did more than one complete reset of the device, but still, it is not possible to set up this f***** thing. First, the temporary connection was lost each time, during the set up process. then, if I managed to get past this obstacle, the device needed an update. Which it couldn’t do. So the connection was lost again and I had to start over. Then, I tried with an Ethernet cable directly into the Sonos connect. That worked, I set everything up. But when I move the connect to the place where it needs to be, without Ethernet, the wifi network and password was apparently not stored on the device. In the app, I ve tried turning wifi on and off (whilst on te Ethernet cable). There seems to not be a possibility to go into the connect settings, to tell the device what the correct wifi settings (ssid en password) is. can anyone help?
I upgraded a Connect from S1 to S2 hardware (Gen 1 to Gen 2).I did this to get more formats available so i didn’t need to down convert digital only media.Anyway, the Connect Gen 2 won’t play some regular media unless grouped! “Friday, July 19, 2024 - 12:25 PM Greenwich Mean Time : Dublin, LondonUnable to play 'Everybody break verse idea' - the song is not encoded correctly.” So, in the example above, why won’t the Connect G2 play 'Everybody break verse idea' unless in a group?Media info:GeneralComplete name : \\MadejskiBU\Multimedia\JustMP3\October Drift - Vault\Demo - Everybody Breaks.flacFormat : FLACFormat/Info : Free Lossless Audio CodecFile size : 8.59 MiBDuration : 1 min 59 sOverall bit rate mode : VariableOverall bit rate : 604 kb/sAlbum : OD Vault 202
I’m posting this in hopes of saving someone else from the hours of frustration I’ve endured to resolve this issue. From the time I set-up my Arc + Sub + Surrounds system in July with an Asus RT-AC88U router (connected to Fios Gigabit internet) it has worked without issue. I’ve used Asus Smart Connect with all settings at default. No problems with the S2 app and no problems when I upgraded to an iPhone 12, other than the loss of Trueplay support, which continues to be a problem. (HELLO Sonos! Anyone home?)Then I recently upgraded to the RT-AX86U using same Smart Connect default settings and, initially, all seemed fine. But soon the dropped connections started. I’d reboot and the Sonos system would connect for 10-30 minutes, then lose wifi connection again. Meanwhile, all other wifi devices in my home worked just fine--the Sonos was the only problem child. I did all the troubleshooting I could, then called into Sonos support and spent almost 2 hours with a tech rep trying every potential
Hi - are you working on any further app updates?
Hello, I went through setup and it looks to be all set and connected to my wifi. I can see it as a device on my wifi app as connected. when I open the app the device isn’t there? It just asks me to “update network” or set up new system. I’ve done this 3-4x. I’ve triple checked that I’m on same WiFi.

I’ve got Sonos Amp + Sub with a pair of KEF Q150. Looking to replace the Q150 with Beolab 18. How can I connect? Currently, I use the Sonos Amp with TV for Disney+/Netflix and Spotify for music. Thanks. Beolab 18 First time setup Beolab has toslink and RCA.
Where can you find the MAC address for the Sonos AMP devices?
Since my system keeps freezing (The new app) All 3 rooms although sometimes it doesn’t even find any speakers. What I suggest is whoever sanctioned this god awful app needs sacking and that goes for some members of the board as well but judging by the current state of SONOS and us having ZERO TRUST in the app there is probably one app designer who doubles as the CEO. When will we get the REAL VERSION BECAUSE THIS IS A JOKE AND YOU AND YOUR DELUDED MATES NOT WILL BE FAR AWAY FROM RE-MORTGAGING YOUR HOMES AND JOINING THE WELFARE STATE -WE THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN -SORT IT OR LEAVE—WE WANT ANSWERS OR START RETURNING OUR MONEY
I have changed my Messh routers and changed the WiFi network. All Sonos speakers have been readded to new network and are working fine. However I cannot add my Boost to the new setup however many times I try . The latest Sonos app sees the Boost but will not add it. The Boost is hardwired to a Mesh router.im exactly the same way as it was before - everything is the same as before except. I have rest the Boost twice and tried again and this has made no difference What am I doing wrong?
Amp stops playing but App thinks it is Still going. Selecting a different room to add then causes app to crash. Pretty consistently. I got a diagnostic ****** after. If it’s in a group it drops in and out. I got six new Amps and only this one is giving me problems. Moderator Note: Recorded and removed Diagnostic Number. Hey all, I have looked at everything I can about Ubiquiti and Sonos, but continue to run into issues. Here is my setup: Sonos AMP hardwired to a USW-Lite 16 PoE into a USW-24-POE- into a Dream Machine. I have everything set to STP. I am able to get an IP address to the Sonos and it shows up in the topology map. When I try to configure the AMP, I get to the point where it says push the connect button on the back and it just never responds. I set up a different very dumb network and did the same thing and had no issues so obviously the ubiquity is the problem but I don’t know where to go from here. Can any of you advise?
Question: I am replacing a few Connects with Ports. None of these relate to my ‘primary’ stereo, so audio quality is important but not enough to consider including an external DAC. All the Connects in question were previously connected via Toslink to various amps: an old Marantz, an Onkyo, and an old Cambridge. Now that Port doesn’t have Toslink, I need to decide if I should buy digital coax cables instead, to replicate the existing setup, or just go with analogue (ie buy some reasonable analogue cables, and use the Port’s DAC in each case). Appreciate thoughts on which way to go. Thanks
I have a Sonos amp powering to outdoor speakers. I want to be able to output audio from my cable box on my patio. Previously, I Attached the HDMI cable from my cable box to an audio extractor in order to get an optic feed. I then used the Sonos optic feed to HDMI adapter to push audio to the amp. However, ever since updating to the new Sonos app this no longer works reliably. Most often the Sonos app does not seem to recognize any feed coming from the optical to HDMI Sonos adapter.Does anyone have a similar set up and had any success with the new Sonos app getting audio to play either through the Sonos optical to HDMI adapter or the line in? At this point, I have bought three different audio extractor devices from Amazon with no luck. Thanks for any suggestions.
This new Sonos app is absolutely terrible no one like it on our home. slow reacting. Difficult to know at glance how to control speakers. want to lower volume and pick constantly wrong room. what a disaster. no intuitive at all. Huge step back.
