Using version S1 it will not work. Followed directions posted here and it still doesn’t work. Also, Sonos is not showing up in Airplay also. Just like white wine the product is getting worse over time not better! Owner it for more than 10 years
Hi Recently changed my router from a Linksys WRT1900ACS running Luci firmware to a TP link Archer AX6000 - my Sonos speakers refuse to connect to the 2.4GHz wifi on the AX6000. Sonos kit: 2x One, 1x One SL, 1 x Play:1, 1x Ikea Symfonisk bookshelf - I’ve upgraded to S2. All my non-Sonos 2.4GHz kit works fine with the new router. I’m running with duplicate SSIDs for 2.4 and 5 GHz I’ve tried with and without smartconnect. I’ve also tried setting up a totally new 2.4 GHz SSID. I’ve tried turning AP isolation on and off (usually off on my non guest networks). Speaker location isn’t an issue here - I’ve been trying the below with the speakers a short distance from the router. Tried the following via the app: Going through the ‘changed router/wifi settings’ journey Wiping the app and factory resetting the speakers. Joining the speakers using the ‘accessory configuration’ process (Apple native) Joining the speakers using the ‘select SSID and type in password’ process Connecting
My home network uses a Netgear GS724Tv4 managed switch. My Sonos gear comprises:Connect: Bedroom, Series ID: C100, WM: 0. But in my garden shed (connected via a 50m ethernet cable to the managed switch) I also have 2 Sonos 5’s (wired daisy chain).I seem to be suffering data storms as the 5’s keep disappearing. I have a Sonos system and it worked well before. But it stopped working. I can’t update my system. I can’t update my music library. my music won’t play; and the title of songs mysteriously appears. I tried uninstalling the Sonos system, but that didn’t help. Thanks.
I have recently switched from a Mac to a PC running Windows 10.I was able to successfully transfer all of my music and playlists from my MAC Itunes to the PC Itunes.I installed Sonos and synced it to Itunes. All of my music has synced to Sonos (in Artists, Albums, Genre, etc), but the issue is not a single playlist has synced over.I live and die by these playlists. They are an artistic outlet for me and I spend a lot of time creating them. They are what I listen to 99% of the time. Can you help me get them into Sonos please? I’ve been trying for a week, googling and searching, but nothing has helped. Gene

I have a weird problem:My Sonos One will only play Amazon Music, Spotify and radio if it’s grouped with another player. If I try to play any of these streams only on the One it errors with ‘unable to play xxxx. Unable to connect to xxxx’my system is:ZP100 (wired)ZP80 (wired)Play5 (wired)One (wireless)Any ideas why this is happening?is it something to do with the One being in a system of legacy products?
Trying to add a user to an existing system. The app can’t find the system. User’s phone is on the same WiFi as Sonos. Other users have no problem. did try to uninstall & reinstall. No luck. suggestions?
I’ve been having a problem with Sonos not being able to index my podcasts since I upgraded my OSX to Catalina. (I’m currently running 10.15.6.) I’m getting the error message “Sonos was unable to add the music folder.” Under Catalina, Apple introduced the new Podcasts app and changed the location where podcast files are stored. On my iMac, podcasts are now stored at “/Users/me/Library/Group Containers/243LU875E5.groups.com.apple.podcasts/Library/Cache”. When I try to add that folder to the Sonos Music Library, I get the error. My music is still being indexed just fine as far as I can tell. My firewall is turned on and allows the “Sonos S1 Controller.app” incoming connections. Has anyone else had this problem? Can you tell me how to fix it?
Hi, When trying to group my speakers they often give an error message saying “unable to connect to the device” (danish: “kunne ikke oprette forbindelse til enheden”). I have tried grouping them with each other seperately like 1+2, 1+3, 1+2, 2+3 etc. but it does not work. Sometimes (very few times) it works, but not for very long then one of the speakers will stop playing, skipping or stopping, then begin again and such. I do not think it is the connection or interference since it is 4 meters away from the router and the only thing between is a drywall and a small kitchen cabinet. I never had any issues with Sonos before a few weeks ago? My setup is:Sonos Beam1x Sonos x IKEA Symfonisk lamp2x Sonos x IKEA Symfonisk shelve speaker I am about to buy 2x Sonos One Gen 2. But do not want to if this problem continues. I have made a diagnostic: 344148001 Edit: To make sure I have tried everything. I have changed the channel from auto to 1, 6 or 11. Nothing helps. I have also tried rebootin
Hello, I have a problem with my dead Playbar. To solve the problem I replaced the rectifier and after that the powersupply works fine (15,8V with load) but the playbar is still dead. Is there anything that I can do or check (schematic, diagram, pinouts) on my playbar that helps me to locate the error? Many thanks!

Hello,I’ve been experiencing loss of connections when streaming Spotify and radio (either TuneIn or Sonos Radio) and error messages such as “unable to play [ ] - song is not encoded correctly” since basically day 1. it seems to come and go but lately frustration grew bigger as it reached a point where the speakers are more unable to work than do. Diagnosis number 384398090
My 8 year-old connect Amp ethernet ports keep flashing and won’t connect to the network following reboot after a power outage.I suspect the power supply (or a power supply capacitor) is fried. Is there a fix other than cutting the power supply wires from the board an connecting to an external power supply?
I have five Sonos devices on my network: Play: 5, Play: 3, Beam, and two Connect: Amps. Now that I’m using S2 (on iPhone) I never see all of them. The one I use most, a Connect: Amp, is always there. If I leave the app open for a few minutes, sometimes one of the other ones will appear but no matter how long I wait, I never get all of them. I can unplug/restart the others and eventually get them to show up but they disappear again the next time I pull up the app. What’s my next step in trying to fix this? Should I pull them off their mounts and do a factory reset?
I have a playbar, 2x play:1 and sub in 5.1 configuration. Ocassionally the sound will start cutting - it only lasts for like a split second before it comes back but its annoying when suddenly all the sound is gone and then comes back - when it does this it will keep cutting out every few seconds and lasts for several minutes at a time What causes this and how do I fix it? Should I return it to the store for a refund? Thanks
I'm experiencing a strange issue on a larger sonos s2 system (10 speakers). Every other day or so, I can no longer connect to any music services or connect to the update servers. It just says it "cannot connect". I can see all my speakers just fine.Weird thing is, whatever playlist i was playing before I can press play and it will play normally because it has some type of connection. The situation usually rights itself after a few hours, or I can usually fix it by restarting the router and at least one sonos speaker. And I've never had any audio drop outs.I have tried plugging in to the router and using SonosNet, I've tried configuring wifi, I've tried changing channels - same weird behavior. I'm using an eero pro (single, no mesh) and it is working just fine for all my other devices.I submitted a diagnostic at 1718527646 with my current wifi configuration.
Hi,I have two One SL that used to be paired as stereo and everything was working just fine.I recently decided to separate them to have them in two rooms independently, and since then they both work as if they were on the left (or right, I don’t know) channel of stereo, instead of being mono.I tried resetting both of them but I get the same result. And they work perfectly in stereo when I recreate the stereo.Any advice ?Thanks
I have when 1 sonos speaker and have updated to the sonos 2 app which I understand is compatible. However although I've linked google to sonos I'm unable to link my spotify premium account. When I instruct Google to play 'x' music from spotify it tries to find it but then I receive a response which says 'you need to link your spotify premium account to Google and sonos. I've done that but not getting anywhere. Can anyone help?Regards
I had to change isp so took the opportunity to upgrade my wifi and bought Google Nest. I've spent all day trying to get my Sonos to connect and it simply does not want to work. I have 2x play5 and 2x play 1 and 2x ikea bookends I've plugged the 5s in to the Nest directly using ethernet and reset them, as have done with play1s. Nothing is working, the app may or may not connect, the speakers may or may not show, music do want show what's playing. It's a nightmare. What can be done here please? Many thanks
Have the S2 controller successfully set up on a Win10 machine and a few iPhones. However, when attempting to set up on a new iPad, there is one Play:1 missing and it will not load the music library.I’ve tried every hint currently published on this community, so it’s clearly a new issue ???Any hints…..?
I have a Sonos One and a Play:5 that I normally stream Apple Music to. Some mornings, but not every morning, the music is playing when we go downstairs. Our kids have previously streamed Spotify, but it is not active when this happens. I have submitted a diagnostic report (878087836). Is there a way that I can access this report? Any help appreciated.
Hi.My sonos system has just stopped working with the app on iOS and Android. Can still control via Alexa strangely.I have Connect Amp in one room, beam, sub and 2 x play 3 in another, and Play 5 (gen1) in another.Have tried to update but keep getting errors.Have now removed the bridge, and plugged the beam straight into the router, System now cant find the connect amp. And both apps not working. Although, after disconnecting and connecting again, it will work just once.I have switched through all the sonos wireless channels.I have turned everything off, router, bridge, sonos speakers, and turned all back on one by one.I cant find any other ideas to try on here.Any help really appreciated!ThxBen
We recently updated our Sonos system and now Soundtrack Player will not authorize in Sonos. We use Soundtrack to legally play music in our cafe, so it’s causing an issue that it won’t work anymore.
