Hi! Updated to S2-controller tonight. I have 2 Play:1. I can't get connected both of them. I tried the setup-process with the forst Play:1and the speaker was found, updatet and connected immediately. Everything worked fine. BUT the second speaker was not recognized from S2. Though I tried it vice versa in a new installation and the second Play:1 was found, updated and connectet immediately. BUT now it wasn't possible to connect the first speaker additional, the one that worked in the former setup alone well. After reading here in the community i tried to reboot my router and both Play:1 and the S2-controller(restart of my Samsung SM J 600) but the S2 further on recognizes only 1 Play:1. What else can I do to solve the issue? Thank you!
This is really frustrating and I think has only been an issue since we upgraded to the new S2 app and removed the Bridge. We have a Netgear Orbi Mesh WiFi set up a Playbar, Play 1 and Play 3 across the flat. Have tried the following:reset routerreset all Sonos speakersremoved and added the Spotify appchanged the router channel from auto to 1, then 6 then 11Playing from the Spotify app to Sonos is also patchy All other services on the Sonos app work perfectly. Is this a common problem?diagnostic 2106635247
Hello During the procedure the led is blinking red/blue as it should. Instead of turning green at one point, it just keeps indefinitely blinking red/blue. I found nowhere information about this topic. What am I suppose to do?Thank you for contacting
Been having on and off problems with audio stuttering between 2 different Samsung TV’s, 1 HDMI Splitter and 2 different optical cables.Nothing seems to fix it, I can only assume there is something wrong with the Playbar, which for something of this value to start deteriorating after a couple of years seems absurd.Submitted diagnostics ‘1678552655’.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, steve
I can change song within Apple Music, the new song plays & also appears in iPhone Control Center & shows as playing in Sonos App. But if I change song within Sonos App, new song plays .. but, old song still appears in Apple Control Center.Sonos App does not play nice with Apple MusicBoth play songs correctly, but (1) only when I select with Apple Music does it show in Control Center and Sonos App(2) if I select with Sonos App, old song still shows in Apple Control Center
I have several Sonos 1 Gen 2 throughout my apartment. All of them work fine except one. The sound is very tinny—no bass, sounds like it’s half volume or something. I’ve tried Airplay and other WiFi sound but it’s the same. I’ve reset the speaker. No change. What’s up? Bad speaker??
I have a Sonos Sound bar and 4 x play5 speakers.I have a Orbi WiFi routerI have a Cat 6 to a HDMI extender to the TVSony TV I already swapped out the cable box and the extenders and the HDMI cables. My installer thinks it could be a bad Cat 6 wire. Any other suggestions?
Trying to set up my first Sonos, a Five, through my recent iPad running iPadOS 14. It sees my WiFI network, and the green/white light flashes. But there’s no response to the button press when it chimes.I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting power, rebooting the router, moving the speaker very close to the router, and connecting with Ethernet. Nothing helps. It seems as though the button isn’t working.
Up until a week ago I had a Sonos Beam (wired) and two Sonos One SLs (wireless) different rooms in my house and experienced no problems with my wi-fi (>60Mbps speed test). Adding a Sub 3 and connecting it to my Beam has resulted in appalling wi-fi performance (<3Mbps) in the room they are both installed in.The Sonos Beam is wired to my home network with wi-fi , the Sub-3 is not. Wi-fi is enabled on the Sonos Beam. I have removed my home wi-fi network from System > Network > Networks (none are listed). About My System shows WM:0 for all devices and I they are using SonosNet.I have tried with all three available wi-fi channels in the Sonos app (1, 6 and 11).If I remove the Sub 3 from the Beam my wi-fi speed test returns to 80Mbps. If I add it again, the speed test goes down to less than 3Mbps.I’ve just run a test with all three channels. The results were: channel 1 1.08Mbps, channel 6 0.92Mbps, channel 11 - 2.63Mbps. I switched off the Beam and it returned to 66.1Mbps. Switch
I have only recently started acquiring Sonos products, initially I just wanted a Bluetooth speaker, now a small fortune later I now have a pair of moves set up in stereo mode, and a home theatre consisting of a 55” Sony Bravia A*, an Arc Soundbar, two One’s and a Sub.Initially everything was easy to set up, but yesterday I had a nightmare trying to add the Sub, I managed it after a while and then started to notice the sound dropping out for a split second every 20 seconds or so which is not what you want really! Anyway I’m pleased to say that it’s now been resolved, all I did was reset my TiVo box.Hopefully this will help others who are experiencing the same problem.Graham
I would be so grateful if anyone can help with this. I can’t be the only person who has experienced it but I can’t find any documentation or discussion on it. I have eight Sonos speakers in a pretty small house. My Wifi is excellent near all of them. Quite often, speakers disappear from the network. I have to unplug them and plug them back in again or sometimes hard reset them to get them back on. I can usually get them back but it’s random and it can take a lot of tries. But here’s the weird thing. Every once in a while, I will open the Sonos app on my phone and it’s showing only the speakers that I thought were missing! In other words, they don’t just fall offline. They disappear to some mysterious other network. (I don’t have any other Wifi network in my home. This is all on the same network.) My phone app (and always my laptop app) usually shows the “primary network” but every once in a while reveals the “other network.” That doesn’t help me. Ultimately I still need to get my phone
Please help as I am out of ideas. My MacBook was been working fine for over a year, then lost the connection to Sonos yesterday after I updated my VPN client. Now it cannot find the Sonos speakers anymore. My Setup I have lots of Sonos speakers around my house, including a Play 5, some Play 3s and some Play 1s and a new Move. Some of these speakers are on a single wifi, some on a wired Gigabit Ethernet all on the same network, with the same subnet, and all working fine. The client is working fine, on 2 other Macs in the house, on the same OS and same Sonos client version The client is working fine on 3 other iPhones and an Android phone in the house. I have a Sonos boost connected to my network. I have Gigabit fibre to my house so no network or internet connection issues, speed test reports over 900mBs download and upload speeds. The entire Sonos system is working perfectly for all speakers and in all rooms, its just that my Mac client cannot see it on my MacBook. My MacBook Pro R
Driving me insane the most infuriating bit of home entertainment ever ownedfirst they stopped us being able to stream from songs on my iPad so then thought right I’ll have to use my MacBook. Now it even cuts out before one song has even played throughseems to link to Mac screen gong to energy save, surely music can carry on playing if screen goes to sleep. extremely frustrating. Very clear that all Sonos wants to do is force users to a music subscription service or hardwire the source music to the speaker
Hi. I have a problem where any time my router reboots, my Sonos system does not find it and reconnect. The only workaround I have found is briefly renaming my home network to a different SSID, and then changing it back to the original network SSID. After that Sonos finds and reestablishes its connection
I have a One SL speaker that stopped working with the Airplay on my iphone. The speaker was paired with a One speakerand I had been listening to Youtube with them for about two months. A couple of weeks ago the SL started cutting outand the Youtube app would stop playing all together. This issue also occurs when listening to the music downloaded on my phone, again using airplay. Although if I listen to SirusXM through the Sonos app it works fine. Troubleshooting; I uninstalled Youtube and reinstalled. Also reset the SL to default setting and reinstalled. I removed the paired connection of the two speakers. The One plays fine with YoutubeThe SL will not connect to Youtube at all. I also have a full Sonos surround system in my living room.I can play Youtube on it fine with my iphone from the bedroom. It's not a connectivity issue. Do you have any more suggestions? I bought this speaker at Christmas last year.Is it possible that it has developed a defect? Brent
I’m on the latest macOS Catalina 10.15, and my Sonos controller is up to date. On three occasions recently opening the controller on my Mac has caused the whole computer to instantly crash - I’m hoping someone might have an idea why? Thanks, Shane
Help, please!I am unable to connect my Sonos Move to a new wireless router in my home.I have reset the move and I see a quick blip (half a second, at best) of the screen as if the app sees and identifies it as a Move, but then it quickly goes back to the “searching for nearby products...”screen.I welcome any tips, suggested order of steps, whatever, thank you!
I have just lost all “My Sonos” favourites. Can they be restored to a previous time? Cheers JA1
Long story short, I upgraded my ISP connection, which prompted me to upgrade my router/firewall. I also decided to replace my very noisy dying switch. Result, great network, but Sonos is being very difficult. First, Apple Music stopped working. Couldn’t fix it. So being an idiot, I factory reset all of my Sonos. Managed to get 4 Play:1 connected (3 rooms, one each, except for one room with a pair). Now, trying to add any more Sonos results in a network problem on the last step of the process. My network: BT Openreach → Fortigate 80F → Netgear 752TPv2 → Ruckus APBT Openreach = ISP termination point in my house. CAT 6 connection to Router Fortigate 80F = Router & Firewall Netgear 752TPv2 = 48 port switch Ruckus AP = WiFi access points. All are wired to switch, so not a mesh network.Everything used to work prior to the router and switch upgrade.I’ve tried changing the MTU on the router; I’ve adjusted STP settings on the switch, and enabled “Forward BPDU while STP Disabled”. Nothing see
Hi there,I'm new on the community but would like to explain my feature request (Excuse me if in the wrong Sub Forum).Would like to play a alarm tune via alarm section. But when the system is at 10% volume and would like to play my alarm tune at 75% the volume will fade in. But as my alarm tune is 3 seconds. the volume is around 18% when the tune is already over.Would be nice and handy if you can choose when creating the alarm if you would like to have fade in or directly the requested volume for multiple purposes. Is this possible to create in future update? Thanks!
Ive moved house and had to re set my system up with a new router. Everything has worked ok wish until I try and link my Apple Music subscription. When I attempt to link I either get a message saying “There has been a problem, try later”. or I get a message saying “error please ensure you've updated to the lates version of the Apple Music app”Things I’ve tried:-Updating IOS Deleting Apple Music and reinstalling Deleting sonos and re setting up the system again Resetting each speakerHelp
I’ve recently upgraded to Sonos S2. And since then all radio stations outside of the UK do not work as well as Spotify. The latter connects but then ‘breaks’ down.Anybody have any clue? Thanks for the help.
Dear Sonos-ers!TLDR;Issue; “Incorrect password” for wifi set up even though you enter the right password.Fix; “Incorrect password” → Factory reset → Ethernet to router → create new router password for network on router → set up speaker again with Ethernet still in → “create wifi network” via app → Enter your new router created password → should work!I am creating this as hopefully my first and last post on this community thread.=============================================I have spent the last 2 hours troubleshooting this issue, so creating this in the hope that this helps you further. Hopefully this will improve my karma!I went to sleep last night with the Sonos One speaker working perfectly, with a smile in the corner of my mouth. Waking up, the Speaker was essentially a brick, went through the “whats wrong” troubleshooting several times via the app to no positive effect. Then, I eventually got the “enter your wifi” option, entered my password, and got “password is incorrect”. I thoug
Good Evening,We replaced our router and have read through the message boards/followed the app without success. An Ethernet connection is not an option due to installation distance (on wall with all wires behind drywall). Is our best and only recourse a reboot? I have updated my Sonos app/etc. Thank you!
I have many speakers. I grouped a Sonos One and a Port (the port is sending his output line to a Yamaha amplifier) but there is a few ms delay between the two sounds. I tried to set the sound compression to none and to change the WiFi channel but nothing changes. I’m going mad… I sent the diagnostic and its number is 862404893 (in case someone from the support sees it...). I had this issue since I installed the system, I tried to plug, restart, change the input in the Yamaha Amplifier (RX-V375). I used to have the Connect and a Play:1 connected in the same configuration but I never had an issue, but then I upgraded the system due to the S2 app compatibility. Any other in the same situation? Thank you!
