I have been using Sonos S1 with my 11-speaker system comprised of Sonos One, Sonos Play:1, Play:5 and playbar and I took one of the Sonos One speakers with me on vacation and used it on another network in the Sonos 2 app.  I am now back home and all but one of my speakers (the Play:5) shows up at “incompatible” in the Sonos 1 app, and the “updates” don’t work.

I have an Arc, four Ones (each in a different room) and a Move. Over the years, I’ve had occasional problems with speakers dropping out, but never sustained or consistent. Since adding a Move to my system a few weeks ago, the problem has been nearly constant. If playing to more than one room at a time, speakers regularly cut in and out, frequently enough that the system is becoming unusable. Some speakers do this more than others, but it happens with all of them, with no discernible pattern. This happens whether playing via a streaming service (usually but not exclusively Spotify) or via my local Music Library.The Move integration may be coincidental, but the problems have coincided with its addition. 

Hello, I'm a new Sonos user with a single Sonos One connected via wifi. I was originally able to set up the speaker with the app, but have since lost connectivity between the app and speaker. However, it partially works (see below). Network conditions: I use enterprise quality network gear. The speaker is connected to the proper SSID, has an appropriate IP, and can get access to the internet. Wifi signal is at 97%. What works: Alexa commands Amazon music What doesn't work: Sonos app won't connect; can't configure the speaker for the room Spotify premium can't connect I have plugged the speaker into an ethernet port for testing and was able to use the app. However, after moving the speaker back to the proper location (that requires wireless), I have lost the functionality again (still can do "what works" above). The speaker and the app are on the same SSID and subnet. Any ideas as to how I can get this working properly? Thank you!

I have 2 connect amp and 1 connect connected with uit cables to  my router.Everything is working fine, after I have installed wifi repeaters with same Network name and password the app doesn’t work anymore.I need The reapeters to have wifi signal in my appartment. please adviseert

After I upgraded my Sonos Ones (4 of them, 2 pairs) to S2 and downloaded the new app, everything was fine - at first.  About 10 minutes later, the app gives the error message “Unable to connect to Sonos”. I connected each of the speakers directly to my router (wired) and everything worked great.  I gave each of them a static IP address.  When I returned the speakers to their respective rooms and now connected to the network wirelessly, it worked fine for ~10 minutes.  My iPad is on the same wireless network.  Interestingly, I can play music on the speakers via my Amazon dots.  Also, these speakers have been working fine for a couple of years without issue until I upgraded the app.  

Unable to reset password. have used reset facility but systems does not recognise new password 

Hi all, Can anyone help. Recently we haven't been able to get any other countries radio stations to play through the tune in app or also through the Sonos radio app.  I can only get it to play UK stations which is really annoying as we love to listen to quite a few Dutch and Belgium radio stations as my husband used to live in Holland and likes to keep his Dutch up. Anyone else having this issue and did you manage to solve it?  

Had difficulty connecting our brand new Connect. Finally got it set up via the Ethernet but it immediately needed to update. Error message 803 received. Unable to update. Any helpful info? 

Most times i go to use sonos, app not connected to wifi (phone is) other family have no issue, only my phone. Was perfect on old app. Was about to invest in sonos move but wont until this is resolved.If i open the app and leave it open it will connect in 10 odd mins? some times less. Tried restarting phone, router, reload system.

I have a new Sonos move . I can play music to it via the new Sonos app but can’t connect to it directly via airplay from within Apple Music. I have a Sonos 5 in the same room that can connect and play from both the app and airplay direct from Apple Music but for some reason I can see the move listed as a device via airplay but connection fails each time?Any suggestions great fully appreciated

Hey team, Look for some guidance on the right cable setup here. Existing setup = Rega turntable into Klipsch RP51 powered speakers. Acquired a PORT and 2 x Sonos One’s.  Having trouble getting both vinyl playing through the Klipsch via the Port and also streaming audio from the Sonos app.Unsure on the right cable setup to go from  Port into the powered speakers and wondering if anyone has had a similar setup and solution? Have tried the following:-Digital Coaxial out into the RCA plugs-Digital Coaxial out into Aux-RCA out into RCASeem to just get a fuzzy sound coming through or no sound at all. Any pointers or am i completely missing something super simple? :) Pic of Port & Klipsch for reference belowAny tips appreciated! Thank you 

Why don’t the Sonos speakers have sound leveling? Sounds vary so much watching YouTube and listening to music. 

Dear SonosSince the latest upgrade the search facility has ceased to work on the S1 controller. However thr browse function continues to work. So if I want to look at all the music I have where Beethoven is the composer Iwas used to choosing 'search' entering 'Beethoven ' then choosing Beethoven in the composer option. Now the app just closes when I try to use that method.  However, if I choose 'Browser then 'Composers' I can scroll down to Ludwig can Beethoven and get the information that way. The latter method is much more laborious. I have tried deleting abd reinstalling the app, clearing my phone cache, reindexing my music but nothing helps.Do you have any other suggestions?

We have recently switched from a Google Home mesh network to a Netgear Nighthawk system.We previously had no issues with connectivity but as we are a long house with one, yes ONE lan point, we are reliant on a mesh network to ensure strong signal throughout our home.Since installing this, we’ve consistently had issues with products (specifically our Move) dropping out and our system dropping out completely.I am not suuuper make tech savvy and have seen loads of articles on setting up a central wifi point for the system but I’m a little at a loss I’ve logged a diagnostic report with the number  935382745 and would appreciate some guidance as Australian support number isn’t operational on the weekends.

We have 6 speaker areas installed in the house for a year and it’s super annoying as the sound keeps cutting out. I often have to increase the volume and then it works but often it cuts of soon after. Very unreliable. Any ideas on how I can get this solved? Thanks 

Hey folksThe wireless of my Playbase stopped working. It does not show in the app. It only works when conneted to LAN.I had to connect also one of the surrounds (Play:1) to LAN to make the second surround work via WLAN.I submitted a diagnostics with number 1433264246 from my sonos app.BestRob

I can’t open the Sonos Controller on my Mac after having updated.  The icon has a question mark.Thanks,Ruth

Hi,My system used to be fine using the old app but since upgrading to Sonos 2 it can't find the speakers on the WiFi. Very frustrating. I have 2 Sonos One and a Beam.I have unplugged the speakers and turned them back on. Nothing is working.ThanksBen 

Nad C558, NAD PP2E PreAmp, Sonos Port, Boost, Play Bar, Sub, 2x Play 1’s, 2x Play 3’s, One, Move I have recently added a Turntable, Pre Amp and Port to my expanding system. My issue is drop outs. I have set buffering to maximum and also selected compressed audio but the issue remains. It’s so bad that I can’t realistically use the Turntable. I’m hoping that its a set up issue and that I can sort this. Any ideas?

In response to email requesting product review of Move, I tried to create the product review on the Sonos website; however, it keeps saying something when wrong, and said something about browser ad blocker.  I tried four different browsers, disabled add blocking on all, and always get the same response.  I then tried on iPhone and that too had same message.  I then logged into my data center (I develop commercial software applications) and used the browser from that server and that too had the same message.  It looks to me like the product review page is broken.

In my music library (on a Synology network server) I have many folder and file names with special foreign language characters. When Sonos scans my music library it reads and displays all the characters just fine on any Sonos controller. However, when I create and export playlists for this library (via MediaMonkey), the playlist files look fine in Windows Notepad but Sonos can't display them correctly, and the playlists don't work, since (I assume) the playlist entries don't match with what Sonos knows the file names to be. I have tried exporting the playlists in various encodings (ANSI, UTF-8, and Unicode) and while they all look fine in Notepad, none of them work. I should make it clear that for playlists referring to music files WITHOUT any special characters, Sonos work with both my ANSI and UTF-8 just fine - these work the way they are supposed to. But Sonos chokes on special characters in imported playlists no matter how I encode them. Is there a way around this besides

Hello there, I just got a Sonos One Gen 2 and it needs to update, I proceed to do the update but it does not gets installed. The error it shows is error 1014.Ive tried the troubleshoot to try and fix the issue but with no success.Can anyone please shed some light on this issue?
