My sound bar has stopped working overnight ! No power, I took power cable out and put it back in and it sparked inside the bar!
My sub disappeared from my system so I switch it off and back in and it connected right away but the sub, although connected, isn’t working. I tried switching it off and on and disconnecting then reconnecting it but still, the play bar works fine but sounds crap without the sub
I have read through the feed and I’m having the same issue several other customers are having. The light on top of the ONE is sometimes orange, flashing white or solid green. I followed the steps in the forum to unplug and follow steps to rebooting. This was because the room was lost in the app. Followed the steps, but it quickly pulled the room back in. The function in the app is working now for the room, but the touch controls are not. I check setting and touch controls are turned on. Can’t seem to fix through trouble shooting. Ran diagnostics and reference number is 679145558. Can someone support this fix?
Hey there. i have the latest Sonos App (12.2.4) but everytime I want to add my new Symfonisk to the system the app recognises the new device but tells me that I need to update my app. When I click the link it brings me to the App Store to just open the app because I already have the latest version. Somebody with similar problems ?
Almost daily I have to reboot my router so it recognises Sonos particularly on my phone. It sometimes happens on my PC but not as regularly. It often stalls but corrects itself when I close and restart the internet connection.Recently had a new router and improved internet connection.Carried out the usual ethernet checks.Had this problem on and off for a couple of years. Deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times.Anyone any idea why this may be?
Hi all - I have recently added Sonos Connect to my sonos setup so I could play my old vinyl collection (it’s about 2 months old purchased direct from Sonos) . It worked well at first but then started skipping a bit, now it has got consistently worse and now barely works at all.The white light on the Connect regularly starts flashing at random cutting off any audio feed. I think this means it is resetting. I have tried the following to no result:Factory reset of Sono Connect Hardwired to modem/router Switched on audio compressionAny suggestions welcome as I’m really confused.
Hi,I have 5 Sonos products.I recently went from SonosNet to Wifi and everything has been working fine for about two weeks.Suddenly one of my speakers stopped working, a Sonos One with Microphone. I tried moving it around the apartment, and now it is the one closest to the router. The other 4 speakers works perfectly still, even farther away from router. When trying to get it to play music Sonos app says "Unable to connect to Sonos product".Sometimes I can get it playing for like a small period of time, but suddenly it stops playing.Submitted a diagnostic 2075424226.Right now no information is showing up in the app, but through the router I can see the MAC-address of the problematic Sonos One is 78:28:CA:B1:F1:C6.I did try to factory reset this single speaker, by holding the back button when powering up, blinking white and orange and setting it up through the app, works briefly but then fails to play music. Thinkin about switching back to SonosNet to see if it works, but really wanted to
I changed my router & wifi this summer & haven’t been able to get my speaker to connect since then. I did a factory reset. I heard chimes, unpugged, replugged. Still Sonos couldn’t find the device. I deleted & reinstalled the sonos app on my iphone 8. I did another factory reset. I’ve watch youtube vides, read lots of other people’s complaints about the same… The system on the sonos app is grayed out….Here’s the real problem. I’m 67 years old. There’s not a lot of time left on my clock & spending 2 hours today trying to solve the problem like a grown up is just wasted time I don’t have. I have an ORBI router & a netgear 5 port switch because the ORBI doesn’t have room for extra ethernet cables. I’m not an IT person but I’m not fully demented yet but stuff like this doesn’t help. Can anyone help this old lady out with some simple instructions?
I subscribe to KQED radio’s “Pledge Free Stream”. KQED emails me a very long URL, which (presumably) contains an embedded password; this plays perfectly in my Firefox browser. Sonos (controlled by Noson, a control program under Linux similar to the Windows App) refuses to play the stream; the play arrow flashes repeatedly but nothing else happens. How can I play the stream, or any password protected stream?
For the last couple of days my saved spotify radio stations don't play! I get the message "unable to track radio station".... what's the problem??? Very annoying!
I have a Sonos Beam connected by HDMI to a Sony TV (XBR65X900F). I have had this set up for about a year and have had no issues. Then a couple weeks ago for some reason when I would try to reduce the sound with the TV remote it would only increase the volume. I corrected that but last week all the sudden certain shows stopped having sound. This happens on Disney+ plus amazon prime. I read one question that said if you adjust the DD+ to DD, but that did not seem to work. Thanks
Music on my amp is great: loads of flexibility to play it loud or soft. Switch to the TV and it’s unusably loud at night with minimum volume. I’ve tried Night Mode, but it sounds awful and tinny. I have tried volume limiter but that only affects the upper volumes but not the lowest. Even setting the TV at 1 or 2 is too loud when trying not to wake children. And don’t even get me started on the delay and jumpiness of the volume control through the TV. I love the sound but there must be a way to lower the volume more, Sonos???
Hey!I have a building where I need to put 14 sonos speakers so that the music plays the same everywhere, but there is no internet in the building. Therefore, all the speakers are connected via a cable to the switch, which is connected to the modem, and it is connected to the computer. I see that the modem is giving out different ip addresses to the speakers. But I still can't tune in to see all 14 speakers. I only see one of them. Tell me what I'm doing wrong and why I can't see all the speakers. Thanks!
I have a Connect Amp with speakers outdoor that works fine playing music from app.connected Line in of Amp from TV’s audio out and it detects the cable connection but not playing the audio out the speakers. If i Auto group it to play on other sonos speakers inside my house, it works fine, the TV audio plays in the inside speakers, just not on the AMp. I have a subwoofer also connected which works fine for music played from the app but just wont switch to Line in. I have factory reset the amp with no luck...beats me! Any thoughts??
we have an iphone, and android work with no problem. sonos s1, another iphone got kicked off and cannot sign on, says “cannot find network”
I have 2 sonos amps and 1 sonos move. the amps are connected together and then to the router via a Ethernet switchone of the amps cuts in and out all the time . It is the one directly connected to the switch other one is fine. Ive checked all connections and rebooted router any ideas
I loaded up a bunch of tracks from Spotify to play on Sonos foolishly without creating a playlist. There does not seem to be a way to copy these tracks from the queue to either a Sonos or Spotify playlist. I managed to do it the long way around by selecting each individual track and adding to a Spotify Playlist (could also do to Sonos Playlist). However, would be much easier to be able to do this at the queue level or Sonos playlist level. Any thoughts?
I was having problems “Saying Queue to Playlist, because I had too many playlists. So naturally I tried to DELETE the older ones. And there was the problem: I would delete them (Delete Playlist > Delete) and nothing would happen. The solution: Make sure nothing is playing on SONOS while you’re doing this. Apparently using SONOS while trying to delete prevents it from deleting. And when you DELETE a playlist, it takes a few seconds for it to disappear. My system, Mac OS Catalina
The volume bar is not working in your app/iphone when I play through Connect and hifi. Volume is either off or FULL VOLUME (the volume bar in any other position than furthest left).Problem started 2-3 months ago, now it’s default. Volume adjust still works with Play:3. The problem persists playing radio through sonos app or services like spotify. Everything is reset and reinstalled, no change. Ideas?
Ive recently bought a sonos boost as i would like to add more products but not until i get it working. The app sees the boost instantly but then will not connect this is a pain ive spoken to sonos i haveeven spoken to my hub provider none of them can help me, anyone have any ideas or a solution.
We were wakened at 3:00am with the playbar playing frankie valli oh what a night. It's a track that hasn't been played in a long while in our house. Diagnostic 598446109 Device was definitely not playing when we went to bed and nothing in the Alexa logs to suggest it was
my sonos connect keeps trying to get a dhcp address… i have like 15 sonos devices in the house, but this one keeps polling my dhcp server about every 5 minutes … it seems it has lost the ip address as when it is doing this I can’t ping it. It gets the IP address as eventually I can ping it, and then it appears to lose it again.I just setup a reservation for it and it got the ip address I rerserved for it, and then back to losing the ip and going back to discovery again. While it does this it outputs an annoying pop sound to the amp it is plugged into.I am looking at it with wireshark, and I can see the discover coming from address 0.0.0.0 which means yeah it has lost its address and trying to get it again.I was on a chat session with a sonos tech and they had just told me the diag I sent them was indicating it was having trouble getting an ip address and then the session dropped. Haven’t found a time slot to restart it, just wondered if this rings any bells with anyone? I would l
I have had my Sonos 1 for a few years now. It has recently stopped playing music. I’ve tried through Alexa and when that didn’t work I went through the app. Every time I try to play Amazon Music it says that it can’t connect to Amazon music at this time and when I try Pandora it just doesn’t do anything. I plugged it in to my router and reset the system yesterday after we updated our router it worked fine after that… until this afternoon when I went to listen to some music and it won’t work. I have had nothing but problems with the Sonos speaker for months now and it’s really frustrating that I can’t get it work. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Here’s the dilemma: I play music from my Mac; from YouTube, or the music app with my own music files loaded, or streaming from various sites, all using Airplay 2. I have 2 SL 1’s paired in ‘Living Room’. Also have a 5 in the kitchen I only use on occasion so I leave it out of the loop. I’ve no other Sonos equipment. Everything sounds very nice…..until I resume the music after I pause it to do whatever from around 2 min or longer. It then takes at least 15 sec or never for the 1’s to start playing again. The volume icon in the menu bar stays set to ‘living room’ unless I switch it to internal speakers. If I then switch it back to ‘living room’, no sound. I have to keep switching it back and forth, and then the 1’s finally decide to resume playing. Any ideas about why this long silence when using airplay from my Mac and how to prevent the problem? I’ve tried the line in option, same problem. Thanks.
Hi there.I recently upgraded my router to a Wifi 6 (no extender or mesh). I have3 x older Play 1s (2 as surrounds)1 x Soundbar3 x One SLsI have found that, using 2.4GHz wifi, the 3 One SLs (i.e. newer hardware) work just fine however the older hardware cannot be seen on the networkUNLESS I turn off Wifi 6 mode and go into a compatibility mode… Then everything is fine. As a workaround, my house is Cat 5 wired (and a couple of units are placed to enable connection directly to an ethernet port. I therefore connected the Playbar to try and create a hard wired configuration… It seemed that this didn’t work either, with an inability for anything to be seen / configured by the iOS app…My questions are therefore:1. Am I right to assume the Play 1’s and Playbar will not work with Wifi 6?2. Because wireless router remained on whilst trying to config in wired mode, has this prevented a wired mode setup working?3. What is the range of using SonosNet (i.e. wired mode) vs WiFi?(and finally) 4. Would
