Hi everyone,I have the Sonos amp and 4 Sonos ceiling speakers in our kitchen. The same amp also runs the Sonos sound bar and 2 One SL speakers in the living room.Every so often when I play playlists through the amp from my Amazon Music the songs stop suddenly after the first 15/20 seconds and move on to another song. At first I thought it was a preview of each song that I needed to turn off in the settings but then I realized that isn't the case. Is extremely frustrating having spent so much money on what you would assume is a quality system for it to be intermittent and ultimately so frustrating I turn it off.Another issue I have is sometimes my two one SL speakers cut out so I lose surround sound half way through a film and then they suddenly start working again off why I opened the app to see what's wrong.Just for context everything is quite close to each other and I have really good full fibre internet speeds and a good WiFi service within the house. Can someone please give me some
In a house with 5 amps, one zone plays music on its own randomly. Why?
I want to use Sonos Amp for my hi-fi-speakers but need more power than the amp supplies. Is there any way I can put together two Sonos Amps for the same set of speakers and thus “doubling” or increasing the power? Thank you in advance.
Samsung Frame TV connected to a Playbar and Sub in my living room. Works fine if playing from the TV or other SONOS sources. 2 Speakers connected to a Connect AMP (with 2 speakers) and configured as surround sound for the room produce either no volume from the TV or it’s so low I can’t tell if they’re working because I hear the sound from the playbar and sub. If I pull the Connect AMP out of that room and set it up as a separate room both speakers are loud and clear when playing any SONOS source other than TV. Why would that be? How can I get these speakers to work as both surround sound and when playing music from a SONOS source.
I have a setup with an Arc, Sub, and 3 Amps. 1 Amp for the in-ceiling speakers in the room with the Arc and Sub (for TV), another Amp for outdoor speakers, and a 3rd Amp for speakers in another room. I want to add a Turntable and CD player (long story on why we can’t just use streaming). If I connect the Turntable to one Amp, and the CD Player to another will I be able to select the line-in from either Amp and choose to play that input wherever I choose? For example, if the CD player was connected to Line-In for the Amp powering the outdoor speakers, could I use that input and play it only in the 3rd room, while simultaneously playing a different input through the outdoor speakers? Does that make any sense at all?
Good Evening, Can anyone please recommend the positioning for two stereo pairs (running on one amp) of 6 inch ceiling speakers in the room below. It is essentially a big L shape with a lounge and TV on the bottom right hand side of the drawing attached. Should I try my best to get one pair either side of the sofa? Then perhaps the other pair along the right hand side of the room, in a line? Or any better suggestions appreciated.Maybe I bite the bullet and have a separate amp for the living area which can be more ‘TV focused’ with a sound bar / sub etc. But, perhaps this is overkill.Ignore the utility / WC space, this won't have any speakers. Thanks Chris.
Hi,I have a turn table and CD player connected to my Marantz amplifier. This is then connected to the Sonos port from Recorded Out. I am playing music fine on my Play 5s, but I want to control the volume through the Amp rather than the Sonos app. I have tried changing line in in the port to Fixed, but nothing is working. Anyone got any advice please. Many thanks.
I have a sonos amp and in ceiling speakers in my gym and am wanting to run the treadmill audio through the speakers. My treadmill has Bluetooth capabilities, so I purchased a Bluetooth receiver and connected it into the Sonos amp rca in line. The treadmill connects to the Bluetooth receiver, the Sonos app says the inline is connected in the amp settings, but I have no sound.Any thoughts?
Hello, My Sonos Connect has worked perfectly for quite some time. This week it changed completely. It disconnects all the time. Nothing in the setup has changed. Several times I've resetted it and moved it to different places.Everytime it starts again (after resetting it to factory settings) for a couple of minutes, than it disappears from my network. Since I've got it for my turntable, I can't hook it up physically to my router.I've spoken to the helpdesk on several occasions (I can hardly understand them due to the accents on their speech) and messaged on several occasions. It's getting to be very frustrating. My file number here at sonos is ********. Moderator edit: Case number recorded and removed
It happened again. The new update in Jan, 2025 dropped the connect 2 from my devices and I cannot reconnect it. I can occasionally get it to connect, but then it drops and I get a ghost image saying it is “Not Connected.” I am certain that Sonos is pushing people to buy other newer devices because it is ALWAYS an update that knocks the Connect 2 device out of the group. A new device is EXPENSIVE so please Sonos, do the right thing and continue support of your older compatible devices.
I’ve been a sonos customer for years and been effected by the kamikaze effect of the software upgrades, and all though well intended, the platform has been destroyed. If anyone buys a sonos product they are nuts. It’s gone from the best to the worst in the market and i have a house full of this s*** now. It can’t even play music without the volume cutting out the user experience is atrocious. Please sort this s*** out, it’s your only job! Hii I am looking to connect a pair of Sonos ceiling speakers and a single stereo ceiling speaker to the Amp…can anyone help with this please?
I’ve been a long time Sonos user, but only recently installed a whole home AMP driven system (rather than just plug in sonos speakers). I’ve heard a lot of the complaints about instability of the new Sonos App, but hadn’t experienced it much till now. Wondering if there is a solve, or diagnostics I can share with Sonos to help them stabilize the new app. I regularly group 4+ zones throughout the house and it regularly stops playing and when I go back in the app, the entire group is disconnected, each zone shows “no content”, and need to be regroup the speakers and select a content source. Am I experiencing what many have been complaining about? Either way, this is sad as hell. Previous generation of Sonos was stable and reliable. This is disappointing.Sonos team, reach out and lets work together to get this solved.
my Sonos connect will not show up on my iPhone 15 in the original Sonos app
Looking for advice. Thanks in advance!Recently moved homes from a house that we had SONOS arc, sub, and 2 Era100 speakers for surround sound system. The new house has 7 speakercraft in ceiling speakers (2 fronts, 1 center, 2 rears, and 2 in the master bedroom) I want to use my Sonos system (Arc & Sub) for the surround sound with the 2 rear in ceiling speakers connected through a Sonos AMP. This is already hooked up now and works well. But I want to be able to use the other in ceiling speakers (2 fronts, 1 center as well as the bedroom speakers) for music or TV while entertaining guests. My question is can I use a speaker selector and connect it to the Sonos Amp to my receiver and other speakers? Do I need a Sonos Port? Do I need another Sonos Amp? I am thinking the easiest way is to run the rear speakers from the Amp into the speaker selector then have all other speakers connected into that and connected to my receiver. That way I can use the rears for surround sound system and use
We have a Sonos sound system that has six amps which power speaker zones around our house. For some reason, the speakers on one of the zones randomly disconnects from Sonos on occasion and we have to wait a while for Sonos to recognize it again before we can use them.Anyone know why this might be happening?

Before I break something, I want to know if this will work as intended. I have two zones, one Port for each.I have an older but great sounding 5x 200w Outlaw amp I want to use. 2 channels for zone 1, and 2 channels for zone 2. The 5th channel won’t be used. The Outlaw amp, like pretty much all home theater amps only has one 12v trigger input. Can I combine the two Sonos Ports with a Y cable to power the Outlaw amp? That means that if I use both zones at the same time, the amp will be getting two 12v inputs at the same time. thanks,~Jay
Hello, dear community. Can I have two PLAY:3 serve as a front (and only) speakers for AMP? So I can stream music by AirPlay to PLAY:3 via AMP or connect turntable to AMP and PLAY:3 will be the only speakers to play the sound? In SONOS app I can see that I only can add sonos speakers as a surround, not front. Thanks.
Short version: I have an Amp that was working fine yesterday. While moving things around, the power and HDMI input became disconnected. Everything is plugged back in and now the power LED won’t go on, the buttons on the front panel are unresponsive, and it no longer responds to the IR signal from my Apple TV remote. It will play sound, but only after I go into the mobile app and went through “Setup TV.” The power LED, IR remote, and touch controls are enabled in the app control panel.Setup: I have multiple devices connected to an HDMI selector switch (Apple TV, DVD/BD player, and Switch cradle). On the HDMI switch, there is a TOSLink audio out. I have an adapter (from Sonos) connected to that and the other end connects to an HDMI cable that goes into the Amp. The output is normal stereo speakers. It’s connected to my LAN through CAT5, so I can connect to it through wifi, even though I have wifi turned off on it (to make it use the CAT5 physical cable). I’ve been using the IR signal fro
I have connected a Dual turntable DT 210 (with a working build in pre-amplifyer) and a Sonos Port (Line in) but i can't get it working (no sound). What am i doing wrong?
Volume keeps.going to 15 every time I raise the Volume it drops back to 15
I have an old first gen Sonos system. Play 1,3 and 5. I still use the Sonos S1 app. I also use a Sonos Connect to listen to Sonos on my home stereo system through a pioneer amplifier and Bose speakers. This all works well. I want to listen to my turntable and cds on the rest of my Sonos system, not just on my stereo system and Bose speakers. I know I could plug the turntable or cd player directly into the Sonos Connect to the analog Input, but there are 2 problems with this. First, there is only room to plug one of them in, and second this would mean they were not plugged into my stereo system. So, my question is, how/can I have these components on my stereo system through my receiver and also be able to have them extend through my Sonos. Any help greatly appreciated.
Hey guys.Today my Sonos Port underwent an update. And after that it didn't connect anymore, even my account seems to have disappeared.I've tried every possibility listed in the Sonos help file and nothing works.Any other suggestions?
After searching threads on this site, I am STILL unable to successfully play radio output from my Yamaha receiver, (RX-V373) via a Sonos Connect (S15, Gen 2 mfg 05/2019), to play through my Play:1 and/or Roam SL speakers.Once I get this working, I’ll hook up my turntable (unamplified) and CD player to it.Here’s a photo of the back of my receiver. I have tried RCA cables connected to the Audio Out jacks (lower right hand corner of the photo)In each case, I’ve connected them to the Analog Audio “In” jacks on the Sonos Connect. My Overall System has 3 components:Living Room: Play1Living Room: Connect (Model S15, manufactured 05/2019)Living Room: Roam SLConnect menu shows the Line-in is connected. The Line-Out only has a choice for Line-Out Level (I chose “variable”). I’m clearly missing something crucial! Thanks!
