I can stream Apple Music on my MacBook Pro not a problem. As soon as I want use other speakers (which are visible) and select them, the music stops playing on the Mac, even though the tune continues to stream. I can AirPlay successfully to all my speakers from my iPhone, so seems to be just Mac related. I’m running MacOS Big Sur 11.6. Any ideas?
My diagnostic number is 1508135081.Playbase works with Ethernet but I can't add it with wifi, the phone Sonos app can't find it.
Apple music stopped working. Tried reload and reset. Now when I go to load and click on register my account, it just goes to a blank white screen. Tried on two android phones. Apple music app on device is fine, only on sonos app does it not work.
When I play music through my Playbase I use the Sky Q remote to control the volume & it works perfectly. When I have the TV on I cannot get the Sky Q remote to play sound through my Playbase. I have been through settings on Sky Q but it only seems to recognise the Sonos Playbar. I have tried to click on Playbar but the Sky Q remote still does not change the volume.Connected to Sony 65AG9BU 4K OLED TV through optical audio output. Please can anyone help? Thank you
Hi Friends, I am having a strange issue. My Bluetooth speaker is connected to Windows 10 laptop but it is not emitting any sound. Any idea what could be the issue with it?
Whenever songs are played through the songs speakers on the songs app, the tempo of the songs are sped up by about 5% which completely ruins certain songs that rely heavily on tempo and tempo changes. is there a setting I can turn on/off or any troubleshooting tips to fix this?
I have Connect AMP wired to the router and Play1 and Play3 running in other rooms. All products are still on S1 app.Very regularly i loose Play1 or Play3 but never Connect. If i try to add new product S1 App never finds the product, but after a while the speaker would appear on its own. It is annoying because it generally happens when i need/want to use it.I am thinking it might be linked to S1 vs S2 and product updates. Can i run Connect AMP wired and on S1 and Play1 & Play3 wifi only on S2?Do i need two separate accounts or can use same account/login to both apps? Can i then link my Spotify to both S1 and S2 at the same time? thanks for help
Help! I can’t access my sonos via the app. I can’t remember the email credentials from when I set it up but it looks like my old boarder hijacked it because when I try to use the app it requires an update and when I press on that it comes up with an email address requesting a password and it is not my email. He won’t give me the details and I’m not sure how to proceed. I just want to connect my new account to my old sonos. Any suggestions?
Starting this morning, I am unable to play any of my playlists (on Android and coming from Amazon Music). When I try, it starts going through each song on the first album in the playlist and gives me a message that says "Unable to play [song title] - the song is not encoded correctly." If I search for and play the album directly it works just fine, but I cannot play it through the playlist. Any idea why this would suddenly be happening for playlists that were working just fine yesterday? Thanks in advance! Cheers,Burt
Hello,I am generally very pleased with my Sonos setup and it has revived my passion for good sounding music. I usually stream from my MacBook and generally have no issues, apart from when I need a break or a gap in listening. After a break I find it difficult to start listening again, Sonos just won’t seem to wake up? I am using Apple streaming and the only way I seem to be able to start listening again is to quit the Apple Music app, quit the Sonos app click on the airplay icon in Apple Music and select my room. This works but I’m wondering if I need to change a setting somewhere so that I don’t have to go through this lengthy process. Cheers, Simon
It started a few days ago when I’m home, the song from “Queen - We will rock you” starts playing unexpectedly. I did notice that when it plays it’s through the Sonos app utilizing Amazon music streaming service. I unlinked the Amazon account and then linked it once again. I have submitted the diagnostics just now I don’t know what the next step in this process is, maybe if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks!
When I stream/play my Amazon playlists on Sonos, songs are cutting out and going off and on. It isn’t every song, but it’s always the same songs that do it. But when I ask Alexa to play those same songs on Sonos, they do not cut out or go off and on. What am I missing?
I have an older amp that doesn’t show up in my account / profile. So I can’t use the upgrade program. How can I get this component into my account ?
I called 2x today to support because my 27 Sonos speakers have somehow all disconnected from my UniFi network. Both times level 2 support was involved / basically telling me to contact UniFi . The problem has nothing to do with UniFi - only Sonos among 450 devices on my four Wi-Fi networks has a problem. Thanks for nothing Sonos / I failed to even get an email response after they promised to provide one.
Hi,I have seen on the forum that many people had this problem. My diagnostic report right after the alarm started with the chime (instead of the selected playlist) this morning : 1667887087The playlist is my "Liked songs" playlist on Spotify with around 2500 songs. What can I do ? It works a bit better with smaller playlists, I don't know why. Thanks,Andy
Hello I have question I have an Apple TV 4K 2021 and LG C1, and connected to sonos playbase with surround and sub. When I play YouTube from LG webos the Sonos app shows Dolby digital 2.0 and it sounds louder and better while I play the same YouTube content from Apple TV YouTube app the sonos app shows as stereo pcm and I have to increase the volume to match the webos app. The same happens for curiosity stream and other apps as well. Is there a way to get the Dolby digital 2.0 on the Apple TV ? Many thanks
I’ve started experiencing sound dropping out or skipping during tracks when using Amazon music unlimited vis the Sonos app. this has been working perfectly up until now, strangely if I stream straight from the Amazon music app it appears to work fine, it’s just when I use the Sonos app. I have a Playbar and two ones and it’s all via Wi-Fi. Nothing has been changed or added so I’m a little puzzled as to why. sent a diagnostics check to Sonos and I’ll see what happens next, confirmation number was 520144441
I have a multi-room setup where the kids all have a Sonos1 in each bedroom. It currently works well with Spotify Family as they can all stream their own playlists via Spotify App. I took out a trial of Apple Music (Family account) and I'm considering switching to that service instead. The Apple Music App only supports Airplay to newer speakers like my Play5 although the Sonos app lets them access their individual speakers. However Sonos App appears to only allow 1x Apple account to stream (mine is setup and working). How do I set things up to allow the kids to stream their own music & playlists to their own speaker?
Hi, Has anyone else noticed that the volume level for TV Autoplay is much louder than it used to be? I’m currently running v13.3 and only noticed this in the last couple of weeks. When the Playbar autotunes to the TV input the volume is about 40% (before it was 20-25%). Couldn’t see anything in the release notes about autoplay volume being tweaked (and the TV input is not customisable, unlike Line-In on other devices), but if it was tweaked it would be useful to get confirmation. CheersGuy
Hi,For some reason the last time I posted this question it was set as answered - however I did not set it as answered.I have been using Spotify connect for over 4 years now. About 3 months ago it stopped playing Spotify. I can start a song, however 5 seconds later it stops. If I turn the volume up or down it works for another 5 seconds. I have updated the software on all devices. The connect is wired (therefore is not a network issue). All other streaming apps work fine, it is just Spotify that doesn’t work - which is frankly the only streaming service that should work. please help - this is driving me crazy. feedback on the first post GuitarSuperstar Try the troubleshooting tips in this article:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/305?language=en_US Hi GuitarSuperstar, Thank you for sending through the article. I had found it previously and worked through each of steps meticulously to no avail. I tested my friends Sonos amp and it works perfectly with Spotify on the same netwo
HelloJust bought the Beam Gen 2 and connected it to my PC sound card/DAC using the optical adaptor. If the sound card is set to SPDIF 2.1 then I can control the volume of my Beam using Windows 10.If I set the sound card to 5.1 dolby then I cannot control the volume using Windows, only the Sonos App lets me change the volume. Why is this? What’s preventing Windows from controlling the volume whilst playing back DD 5.1?Is there any alternative?Thank you.
I’ve had Sonos for years and the performance over the past week has degraded to make it nearly unusable. I listen almost exclusively to spotify and my music library. Spotify has recently begun returning a number of errors that result in skipped tracks. “not encoded correctly” or “the connection to spotify was lost.”I’m running a Play:3, Play:1, One, and Roam all through a Boost. I’ve tried switching the Sonos channel from 11 to 1. I even factory reset my wifi setup last night and created a new network name. The issue has persisted and is very frustrating.I ran a diagnostic, #227227461 Any help you can give would be appreciated.
HiThis is a bit long but; if you continue reading, it may save you headaches with Sonos and get you back online “with a quickness" given a similar situation. Note: My Sonos is in wired mode via Boost module. This is just a one-off solution that may save you time prior to rebooting router (which can have consequences for other internet dependent devices in your home) and/or unplugging all Sonos. It does not circumvent other tried and true solutions already presented in this community. While listening to SiriusXM (Room/Speakers) via Sonos Amp with Sub and Def Tech speakers all went silent! First thought was to open the Sonos App (S2) on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and restart the stream. To my surprise my system could not be found???I’m not one to immediately start unplugging speakers and re-booting router. So I checked the LED status lights on all my Sonos equipment and they were all White. I was even able to command Alexa; via another speaker, to start SiruisXM stream to the Room/Speakers.I the
When I’m connecting to the Sonos Move using Airplay through the Apple Music app (using an Iphone 13 Pro), the sound is very choppy and sometimes stops playing altogether. When I try streaming YouTube to the Move through the same iPhone, the same exact thing happens. I’ve tried factory re-setting the speaker twice and it still does the same thing! I’ve also reset my router multiple time. Any suggestions would greatly help!
I saw this topic:...that wasn’t exactly easy reading for me. I’m sure like a lot of people in the community I have invested a lot into Sonos around the home and have also re-invested with the new S2 range replacing older S1 appliances. This is now complete. For my shower-room, I have installed 2x Monitor Audio Controlled Performance CT380s. With all of the hard surfaces in there, there’s probably almost as much room sound as their is source sound. This is leading to bass boom, particularly an upper-bass harshness. My attempts to control via loudness and bass settings tempered the situation but it’s still far from perfect. This has been made all the worse because the Sonos Connect Amp before did not assert these issues and I could find a nice balance in this room using the simple attenuation provided far more easily. I selected these Controlled Performance speakers because they can deliver quite a punch when necessary. I have even bi-wired the cabling to ensure there are no curr
