My soundbar optical cable is making the sound glitch when watching films on Netflix ,amazon, ect YouTube and TV the sound is fine. They used to work fine together. I have swapped the cables to a new optical line and it still does it. If I change settings to TV sound it works fine but there is lots of delay between TV and soundbar. Please can any reply be put into simple english. I'm not computer savvy. Cheers all.
For some reason the Sonos application shows my two Roam speakers are playing, but there is no sound coming from them. I called Sonos support and they nicely talked me through a solution that worked:Turn off the speakers. When off, push the power button and hold for six seconds. The speakers will make a sound and turn off again. Wait 20 seconds or so. Power the speakers back up and they worked.Hope this helps someone.
Hi,I have a continuos problem with Sonos One which keep on disappearing almost once a week. When I restart it with factory settings it’s working again. But it’s pretty frustrating doing it every week…I have changed the location with no luck and a app function finding the missing sonos doesn’t find anything. Any help?
I have 10 play ones, two subs and one Arc in my Sonos system. Just like everyone else, I’ve experienced constant speaker drop out. At the behest of Sonos I purchased a Boost. Problem not solved. After reading numerous comments, i thought adding a second wired Boost to my network would finally fix my problem. Totally made the problem worse. In spite of what Sonos says, Boosts DO NOT WORK. Total waste of money. After moving it all over my house to “find the best spot” i have removed both Boosts from my Sonos set-up. Now with my only my router managing my Sonos speakers, I get significantly REDUCED speaker drop out. I have two used Boosts available for anyone that wants to waste their time
Dear all,I am using Deezer Family with my Sonos system:4 pairs of Sonos One, one of the pairs with a Sub 2 Play 5 Sonos Controller S1 All fixed IPsWhen I group more than 3 pairs of Sonos One (incl. Sub), the 4th pair starts the music with a delay, and then starts/stops randomly. With only 3 pairs (incl. Sub), there is no problem. It doesn’t matter which pairs I group, but as soon as I have more than 7 loudspeakers grouped, it doesn’t work any more.Funnily enough, everything (up to all 11 loudspeakers) works perfectly with my NAS. Stable, fast, no issue at all. It’s neither a internet connection issue (600Mb fibre), nor an access point issue, as it is close to the loudspeakers.Nor is it a Wifi interference issue, as there is only one access point with 2.4GHz, and no interfering signals (checked with a Wifi analyzer). Also tried all different wireless channels.Nor is it my access point. Tried setup with Sonos Boost. Much worse than now where I can play at least 6 Sonos One and my Sub simu
I have an older Connect Amp. It’s working fine. It used to be when I turned the volume all the way down, it would display a solid green light. Now, when I turn the volume all the way down I get a solid red light. Not orange. Red. Otherwise working fine. What does this mean? Thank you.
Been using the Port for more then 1 year and was faced with multiple drops outs (see other topics for this)After having purchased a BOOST, all the drop outs were gone and I even switched the audio delay back from max to low. Have enjoyed this setup, with no delay and no drop outs, for more then 6 months.Unfortunately I had a power outage last week and since then the drop outs are back :-(Have taken all my sonos devices off power and back on again to intiate some kind of reset,,,but all in vain. The drop outs remain :-(Is there a way I can check if my BOOST is still working properly? (I can see that all my devices are on WM:0, so I guess it is...as there are NO Wifi credentials listed in SONOS)Does anyone have an idea on whats going on…..and how to fix? (Nothing has changed on my setup….I only encountered a power outage) Btw: Sometimes the sound drops completely (and the only way to get it back) is to select another source (eg spotify) and then go back to line in (which is the turntable
Hi, I own a Apple TV 4K, a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and a brand new Samung Q70 tv. When I pause something in Netflix and then unpause it the sound is gone. The same happens when I change episode. Anyone has some idea’s what is wrong? Chris
Watching a movie the from my nvidia shield the sound goes up and down almost like you turned on the loud modediag 1060090213
Hello, ive recently moved property, bringing all of our Sonos stuff with us. In the old place, I had a dedicated SonosNet up and running as my Playbase was right next to the router, so it was easy to run an Ethernet cable directly, so then all devices showed up as WM:0 as expected. In the new place, my router isn’t in the same room so I bought a Boost and hardwired it to the router. Frustratingly, some devices were still showing as WM:1. I restarted them all, which fixed some… but I cannot get the Playbase to show as WM:0. Am I just being pedantic and Sonos is intuitively selecting the strongest signal or is there something I am missing? It would be nice to get all devices on the SonosNet, reducing WiFi traffic on the router. thanks
First time here hoping for some help.Purchased two Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers as a start for my full setup but I cannot for the life of me get them connect to my network, I keep getting the Error code 1002 more info states this is an update failure on the speaker itself and iv power cycled them multiple times with no change.I keep getting asked to re-log back into the app aswel, anyone able to sling me some advice?Thankyou in advance.
I am not sure which is more annoying, Sonos or Netgear. Neither offer a user friendly experience but I am learning a lot about both trying to get them to get along together. My Sonos system (S1) regularly drops rooms and skips through songs on Deezer. A new device connecting to the router is enough to start Sonos acting up e.g. someone arrives at the house and their phone connects to WIFI. I read disconnecting the bridge helps - done, and some improvement. I read reserving IP addresses helps, so I began the process through the router web GUI. After adding a few of the SONOS components, it became obvious that the device name could not include spaces or punctuation.I then found I could not enter any device without a “invalid name” response. In desperation, I deleted all the previous reservations. but I still received the invalid name, even for devices that had been added without issue before.I then remembered I had changed the router name to “Loft Router”. I tried removing the space and h
I have recently changed my router and on trying to get my Sonos system back on line I cannot get all my system on either my iPad or my iPhone. I can get each unit to work but my Play One and one of my One SL’s appear on my iPhone and my other One SL and my One appear on my iPad. They all appear on my computer if I login on Sonos but I cannot get all 4 units to appear on the same app !I’ve tried resetting the router, factory resets on each unit, deleting and reinstalling the apps and for about 5 minutes yesterday I got everything working on both iPhone and iPad but a few minutes later I got the message saying that it couldn’t find my system and then it found only two items.I’ve done everything I can think of so any help welcome !
Recently changed mesh router system and plugged and unplugged all the sonos devices and the NAS where the library resides. Did same with router too a few times. Use a boost and 7 devices connect to it. Everything works fine except when I reindex whether using app via ios or pc it starts then never stops. Chatted with Sonos support and in both cases fiagnostics show reindexing wasn’t happening even though the app indicated it was running. No error message just keeps going on for over an hour if I let it. Was told to call in during office hours but wanted to see if anyone had suggestions.
I have all my speakers set out and working on my desktop app but the iPhone app has dropped two of them. No point in rebooting speakers as they are working? Any ideas?
This morning, Sat, Dec 11, SONOS disconnected all devices a couple of times, the disconnect lasting a few minutes. I could not even Airplay to speakers. What happened? My network w internet is still up so it is not my network. I can browse or stream to anywhere except anything using Sonos; I can Airplay to any device in my house except Sonos. So the question is what happened with Sonos & if Sonos servers go down, does that mean ALL functionality of the speakers goes down with the connection?
I have 3 connect:amp running at the moment and one amp shuts down after plugging it in after about 5 seconds. No amber light, it just goes white when plugged in and then turns off. The outlet is powered and stable. Previously the amp worked fine for years so I don’t think it is a short in the speaker system, as nothing has changed. one day it was turned off and now it won’t turn on. I don’t know the specifics of the speakers - my landlord has them installed and they are built into the wall. Any suggestions?
Hi everybody,I’ve juste have my new Sonos Beam Gen 2.When I've tried to link my Apple Music account with the Sonos App, nothing happened.I’ve chose the “I am already a customer” option, and after that nothing happened, only a white screen. My wife try on her phone (meine is Xiamo Mi9TPRO and her is a redmi note 7), and the result is the same. Does anyone have the same problem, or better, a solution ? Thanks from France.
Hey guys,This is absolutely driving me crazy. When I turn on my LG OLED (2020), connected with HDMI ARC to my Arc, I hear no sound when starting one of the built-in apps such as YouTube or Netflix. I have to turn on my cable TV set top box which is connected to HDMI 1, then all of sudden the Arc starts playing sound from the TV.So basically every time I just want to watch Netflix or something, the Arc won’t respond and I have to turn on the STB first, wait til it’s booted, switch to HDMI1 until the Arc starts playing sound, and then switch back to Netflix or whatever.I’ve tried every imaginable option; full factory reset of both devices, power cycle, recabling everything, running the setup through the Sonos app again, making sure AutoPlay in the Sonos app is on etc etc. I’m really lost here. Any tricks on how to fix this?
I have splitted my audiofiles over 18 Folders on MyBook Live Duo. Sonos will only accept a maximum of 14 folders. The problem is when i put more audiofiles in a folder to downsize to 14 folders then i have too much audiofiles in the folders and in this way Sonos won’t accept either. I don’t know exactly how much audiofiles i can put in a folder but when i am roughly above 1500 tracks in one folder then Sonos won’t accept.
I have a Playbase set up (wifi, living room) and an AMP (wifi, basement) powering two ceiling speakers in the living room. Whenever i set up the AMP to be surround sound speakers of the playbase everything seems to be connecting properly but no sound is being played from the ceiling speakers. I notice that the AMP is no longer connected to the wifi when it is set up as surround sound speakers. Diagnostic Number: 803721337
First off, thanks for any assistance.I have 3 VLANs, one for each of my businesses in a strip. Business 1, 2, 3. I have a UAP in each unit, and attached to its respective VLAN. 9/10 Sonos products are connected to unit 1s SSID, and all have an xxx.xxx.11.xxx IP address.1/10 Sonos Products is connected to unit 3s SSID and have an xxx.xxx.34.xxx IP address.Heres the kicker.I can access and use the controller on mobile devices via wifi, regardless of which SSID I am connected to. Wether the mobile device is in the .11 domain or the .34 domain I can access and control ALL Sonos devices across the network.Yet, an Ethernet connected PC regardless of what VLAN it’s attached to, cannot find the Sonos system.Windows Firewall DisabledOpnSense VM on HP Server.UniFi Controller on Windows VM-HP ServerEach Unit has a managed switch all going upstream to OpnSense Router VM/HP Server I was about to start messing with Igmp and mDNS within OpnSense but I find that questionably a waste of time since I c
Hi all, I would truly appreciate if you can please help me with the following issue:I just added a pair of One SL to my system to use them in Stereo mode in my office.I cannot make them work appropriately, every time I try to Airplay play music from YouTube Music or from the Sonos App it either stays idle and doesn’t play anything, or only plays in one of the speakers but not the pair. I also have 2 Arcs with Subs in the living room and master and haven’t faced any issues with those. After talking to Sonos support they mentioned the issue is because I have a Mesh Wifi System (Orbi RBS750 one router and 2 satellites) and the speakers are either connecting to different satellites and/or to the 5G channel which creates the error. In my network map I do see that one of the SL is connected to 2.4G and the other to 5G and that is when one doesn't play. Additionally, if I disconnect the satellites in order to allow the SL’s pair to connect via Wi-Fi directly to the router it solves the issue. B
This has been discussed with regard to the S2 version of the Sonos app, in my case this concerns the S1 version (I still have an early Play 5 - everything else is S2 ready). When I play music, I set up my “room” (why can’t I save a room?) which includes a PlayBar, a Beam and that Play 5, set the volume then go to the Spotify app to launch the music. I prefer the Spotify app for the lyrics and suggestions. After two or three songs, the Sonos app slowly begins to hijack the stream….eventually, I can only skip, stop, start or control the volume on the Sonos app. Very annoying. Is there a workaround to this?
Hi guys - we recently moved to a new house which is long and the router is at one end (cannot be easily moved / rewired due to where Verizon set it up). At the other end of the house, we have an extender to with a different SSID to allow access for some of our other devices - TV, laptop, phones, etc. As for the Sonos, we have (i) a Play 5, (ii) Sonos Beam, (iii) three Play 1’s, and (iv) a Move. The Play 5 is hardwired to our router and broadcasts a ‘Sonos-Only Wifi’ around the house. I sometimes have issues with one of the Play 1’s and the Move, which are both at the other end of the house, dropping out intermittently when music is being played. I believe maybe with the Play 1, the issue may be because it is too far from one of the other speakers to transmit the Sonos-Only Wifi. Based on my other research, does the Move now use the ‘Sonos-Only Wifi’? If so, any recommendations on best way to achieve seamless sound? Would a mesh system would be the best / only solution here? ----------E
