Advanced setups

Hi,First time posting here so appreciate any help with this problem.I recently purchased the Beam 2 to connect to my LG OLED A1 tv (EArc) . Current setup:LG OLED A1 TV - EArc connected to Beam 22 x One SL added as surrounds, SUB Gen 3 also connected.iPad SOnos app - Spotify musicTrue play completed and when playing via TV (Netflix onboard TV app ) or Mac Mini HDMI to LG HDMI, sound is incredible , can see that ATMOS is going through via the SONOS system playing screen.I also have a stereo pair also setup in lounge area for music.Previously before the BEAM 2 addition, I was playing Spotify via the SONOS app to 4x ONE SL’s and SUB and the sound was amazing , clear punchy bass.  Now that the the beam 2 and surrounds are added and I play music from SONOS selecting the Living room bonded 5.1 setup the bass is lacking and very lacklustre .  I can manually turn up the SUB audio , but its different , not clear and very mu

Sonos BOOST Wireless Range Extender is no longer available through SONOS but can still be purchased through a third party (Argos, for example). Does anyone know why?

Can I connect sound bars in each TV room?  I'm spoiled and refuse to listen to a movie any where out of tv speakers.

I have a dolby atmos speaker system (5.1.2), with onkyo tx nr7100 receiver running it. I am thinking of getting a sonos port, connect it to my receiver using the digital output on the sonos port into the digital input on my receiver, and enable work with sonos passthrough mode. My question is this: Will my system be able to play the dolby atmos spatial music from apple music, if i stream it from the sonos app?

I've already setup my Move2 to my wi-fi network...I just recieved my Sonos Ethernet adaptor...What are the steps to EASILY switch over ?Do I need to reset my Move 2, and start all over again and if so, could someone list th individual steps...Thanks...

I bought thr Sonos ERA 100 speakers and want to play them along with my other speakers which are connected to a ONKYO TXRZ720 (not sonos compatible) receiver.  How do I connect the sonos to my receiver so I can listen to all my speakers or is this not possible.  If not would a sonos port work and how would it be setup with my onkyo receiver?Thanks.

I followed the steps in this article and my Sonos system is now fully functional on a T-Mobile 5G Home Internet Wi-Fi network.  I am running 4 One’s, 2 Five’s, 1 Amp, 1 Move and 1 Playbar. I believe the key was shutting all components off and then powering them up in RESET mode.  This created a clean slate for connecting to the T-Mobile 5G Gateway.I just completed this today (Dec 10 2023) and will report back on stability over the next couple weeks.

Hello all!If a I connect my stereo capable turntable through an era 100’s line-in that is in turn connected to my home system that has a stereo setup ( 2 sonos play 1s) in the living room, will the living produce stereo sound coming from my turntable through the era 100? Thanks! -Nash

I have a Samsung TV on my patio that is connected to ethernet that I use YouTube TV on. is there anyway that I could push what is playing on the TV with YouTube TV or Apple TV? If I’m using Apple TV that’s been built into the TV and push it to a Sonos amplifier wirelessly so I can use the speakers on the patio to play the sound?

I am hoping you can help me as this is driving me nuts :)I have a Sonance (BestBuy) 6.1 system setup and have 2 in ceiling speakers on the patio that are connected to my Yamaha receiver RX-A870 zone 2. I purchased a Sonos “port” per the recommendations of Sonos so i can use the sonos app to control my patio speakers and to “group” the patio speakers to the Sonance 6.1 system. I have connected my Sonos port Via Coaxial cable to my Yamaha receiver Coaxial Audio 3. I turned on Zone 2 and tried to get the patio speakers to play through the Sonos app with no luck. How do I get this all to work?  Thank you so much

If there is a Sonos FAQ on this I wasn’t able to find it…I’m going to be setting up Sonos gear in a second home. I’ve seen a number of responses on how to setup Sonos gear in a second location and I’m not sure which route to take.It sounds like I can just use a single Sonos login/account and just add a “second system” or add “new Household” (unsure if those are different terms)Questions:Can / Should I create a WiFi network that has the exact same SSID WiFi Name and Password in the second home or will that confuse the app? When I begin to set up the Sonos gear in the second home do I... just start adding the gear piece by piece? Would it just “gray out” gear that is not physically present and in a different geographic location? or create a “new household”?  (I don’t see this option in the app currently) Or is there a way to “Add a new system” to group the gear together. (I don’t see this option in the app

Hello community ! I recently bought a BEAM Gen 2 and I’m trying to setup it on my laptop. I already read Using Sonos as PC Speakers and How to set up your Sonos Beam on a Windows 10 PC posts but I still have trouble to succeed…I have plugged an USB to S/PDIF DAC and configured it just like on the first steps of the second post I mentioned earlier. Hey I have an arc, and 2 rear in walls connected to amp for surround for my tv watching setup (let’s call it “tv setup”)in addition to that - I have few one’s spread in my house and kitchen and a five in my balcony. i want be able to watch tv with the arc and in walls, and in addition to play Spotify on the rest of the speakers including the “tv setup” when want to be in “music” mode.how easy is it to switch between the 2 setups ?

As I try to get my three wired Connect:Amp system configured for inter-vlan connectivity, I’ve noticed that depending on which vlan I’m connected to, the app displays one of 2 different “Let’s fix it” messages:Sonos and your mobile device must be on the same network. Let’s fix it Unable to connect to Sonos. Let’s fix itDoes anyone happen to know if there is a difference between the 2 messages as far as what the app thinks is going on? The two vlans are configured identically and each one will control Sonos if the connection is first established using the Sonos vlan and then swapping networks. It seems that some initial “handshake” is not properly configured still, but once open, it stays open…at least for some extended period of time.Any help & insight appreciated!

Hi - I have an existing system set up at home but am on a long term project overseas and am trying to add a new product using my existing account. The app is prompting me to update my existing products from the home network to the new overseas network. I don’t want to do this obviously as the family use the system at home. Does that mean I have to set up a new account entirely and cannot have 2 different systems in 2 countries on different networks controlled on the same account? Thanks in advance for any advice. 

I am trying to set up a new ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System (XT8 2PK). However, Sonos devices will not appear on the network and do not show up on the Sonos App, even though they appear to be available.  I tried the 3 different ideas posted in the forum, but still no luck.  Wanted to see if anyone had new ideas on how to get this to work?

I have several Sonos componets: amps, variety of speakers, when I leave the house the system shuts down or stops playing music.  I prefer my music to be playing 24/7, I turn the system on using an iPad that stays at the house but for some reason it shuts down when I leave.  Could it be because I used my iPhone to setup the system?  Thanks!

Hello.  I asked this question in another section and tried to move it here.  Don't believe I could.  Posting here as it may be more relevant.   Hello.  thanks for reading.  Two topics that may be related. I’ve had my Sonos system set up for about 5 years with help from this community.  Pretty much no problems after the initial kinks were worked out.  I’m in a rural area and had been using Verizon wireless, a grandfathered plan for the house.  A few weeks back, we got Starlink and I have that installed with no obstructions. I have the Starlink installed with their router, turned off in bridge mode, with an ethernet adapter, going to a Unifi Router.  The router feeds a Unifi switch with various rooms connected by ethernet (even though it obviously goes back to Starlink).   Ever since the install, one room in particular (the kitchen) will have music drop out from playing but you can still hear audio from the paired sub.  Then the music will

Sonos support has not been able to assist in over 2 hours and 3 calls… I have 2 houses and spend half the year in each. Obviously, 2 separate networks. In one (let’s call it ‘A house’), all the devices work on an S2 iphone app. In the other (‘B house’) I have a ‘Connect’ that I believe works only on the S1 app. But now I foolishly bought another Five speaker for my spouse in the B house and it turns out to only work on the S2 app - which is being used for the other house setup…. She is tweaking. Is there any way to make this work?  Do I have to get a new spouse? Do I have to delete the S2 app and set things up again each time I go to the other house? Will that even work? ANY IDEAS???

I have had a Sonos setup for many years now and have regularly had an issue with audio dropouts for my Play 5 (labelled ‘Downstairs’), which is the only speaker located on the lower floor - separated by a concrete slab from the upper floor. I have a boost in the ceiling space that is connected via ethernet cable to the modem. The upstairs speakers (three Play 1’s) all work without ever missing a beat! To try and resolve the dropouts with the Play 5 downstairs, I recently had an electrician run a cable down to the lower level and that connects to an old Bridge I had used previously (via a switch that is only used for Sonos devices). It then SHOULD be connecting wirelessly to the Play 5 over less than 10 metres distance and with line of sight. Despite this the Play 5 still is occasionally dropping out. Here is what the network matrix is showing:

Hi, I would like to know if the sonos app allows me to route the signal send in line in to the line out with the delay indeed by Sonos ? To use it on my analog system syncronised with my Sonos One SL.Signal delayed on the analog system and processed on the Sonos SL = Syncro.

I have a late model LG eco TV that supports Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP) to external devices.  I also have a high-end audio setup with the SONOS Port attached to it.Can I stream audio from the TV to the Port using Bluetooth audio streaming (A2DP)?

I recently split my system after adding an arc sound bar.when I launch the s2 app I will intermittently receive an error that there are incompatible products and asks me to upgrade or setup a new system. If I close and reopen s2 app it will usually work normally. Sometimes I will have to close and reopen multiple times. S1 system works fine.

I just found out that Sony has a new receiver that works with Sonos. My question is how to wire the video and audio. I see there are 6 video inputs some 4k and some 8k. So if I plug 4k into 8k is the video going to work ok? Then we move to audio do you just plug the sonos hdmi into the reciver and get your audio. Some questions may be silly but I sure don’t want to spend a $1000 and the system not work.

I have a Beam and Amp (for rear surrounds) connected to the network via ethernet. I also have a Sub connected via Wi-Fi. Everything was showing connected and linked fine in the Sonos app, but there was no audio from the subwoofer. While trying to fix this, I disconnected the Beam from ethernet and switched it to connect via Wi-Fi (like the Sub). Now there is audio coming from the Sub, but no audio from the rear surrounds powered by the Amp anymore. Why does it seem like all devices linked in the same room need to all be on ethernet, or all be on Wi-Fi for things to work? There is also no indication that there is a problem in the app, just no audio coming from the speakers. The Amp is in an A/V rack on the other side of the house, so I can’t enable Wi-Fi on the Amp, it needs to stay on ethernet. I would also prefer to keep the Beam connected via ethernet as well. Just the Sub needs to be connected via Wi-Fi. How can
