What to get

Hello,I Have a PlayBase in my Current Home Theater system, I want to upgrade to Arc,i can see in my sonos account tat i can upgrade for 15%.. i dont understand the concept.if i want to buy the Arc, Sonos will take my Playbase only for 15% from the total cost of Arc? 

My sub didn’t seem to have the pads in the box for laying on its side and it vibrates where I want to put it. can Sonos send me some?If they won’t (or I never manage to get an email to them then what material should I buy to use as pads?(this is supposed to be an email to Sonos support but it appears whatever I try I end up here!!)

Hey, I have an exisitng non sonos sytem (turntable, amp, powered speakers). I have a sonso sub I would love to add to the system. Can i do this using the Port, or do I need to get the Amp? Shame to buy another amp just to add the Sub, when my current Amoplifier is amazing. Any way around this?

I have five Sonos Play:1's, a Port and a Boost. I recently bought a Sonos Move, but this was not compatible with my Play:1 resulting in my system getting meat up. Now I'm thinking nog upgrading my Sonos Play:1's to Sonos One Gen 2 in phases. Is the Sonos Play:1 compatible with the Sonos One Gen 2 under the S2 app?

HI, I have just purchased a new Sonos Arc from Curry’s in the UK - I have not bought it through the Sonos website.  I do not want to accept the upgrade offer nor receive the discount nor have I been informed that my purchase through Curry’s is affiliated to the upgrade programme. Where do I stand right now with my legacy device in this respect? 

Have Sonos Beam.  Need an additional speaker to place near my Dad who has hearing issues.   -Just like the Beam, need it to automatically come on when the TV is turned on  -Need it to stay connected to the TV and Beam  (he will NOT know how to reconnect or reset, etc)-If it’s volume can be adjusted independently of the TV/Beam when needed, that would be a plus but not a must-have.  will an Alexa, echo, Google, etc work or must it be a Sonos?   Thanks in advance for you feedback  

👋   Hi Everyone,I am considering replace two Sonos One with an Arc for a couple of reasons.  First, I am curious if it will sound better.  Second, it would work with my TV.Right now I have two Sonos One (paired in stereo, of course) connected to an Alexa to play music.  Separately, I have a cheap soundbar/woofer for my TV.  This is in my finished basement.  I’d love to merge both sound systems into one, while keeping the Alexa functionality.Thoughts?

I'm hoping to get into the Sonos ecosystem and can't seem to find much than conflicting or years old information. I want to set up Sonos 5.1 (Arc/Beam) but use the surround satellites as side surround or at least high surround.Reason is.... Hoping to use Amp/Connect as rear to hook up existing dumb speakers as rear surround at ear level.  I can't run wires to sides and want to clean up rear wires running under rug and instead have a wireless device in back Is it possible that Sonos can send rear surround signal to the Amp (left/right wired rear) and then use Sonos Ones as side surround? Any help would be appreciated

I’m considering buying a Beam, and since the Play:1 is discontinued, would have to buy a One SL (I don’t want Alexa) to complete the setup. Would all three work seamlessly together?  Thanks

I see that Amp is supported for providing surround to an Arc soundbar, but can I use a Port + Active speakers to give surround for Arc?

The root bridge for my Sonosnet is a venerable ZP120 which has been going for over 10 years. If I replace the ZP120 with a Boost is it likely to make a noticeable improvement to the resilience of the network? In other words, does a Boost have better wireless capability than the ZP120? 

I’m atrracted to a Beam but can’t afford the eye-watering price of a Sub.If I pair it with my existing Move, would that give me any benefit at the low frequencies?  It’s only a small room 2.5 x 2.5 m so I haven’t a huge space to fill

Sorry for the dumb question.  But, I have a sonos amp which is connected to a turn table and also have a sonos arc connected to my tv via HDMI/arc.  I am looking to add a speaker to my den and bedroom with the ability to stream from my amp.  Are there any issues with adding a few Sonos One (Gen 2) speakers to my set up ?  Thanks for helping a novice out.

I got an email saying I haven’t sold $10,000 worth of product… in the middle of a 9 month pandemic and lockdown. I had plenty of work, but SONOS didn’t have product- not for me or my distributors… So I had to buy retail and make no money for the sake of the job.I am disgusted at this treatment as someone who has been a direct dealer at silver status for 8 years or so. Pushing SONOS as my go to whole home audio solution, I’ve been asked to lean towards Yamaha and Heos. I never did. Sonos was it. And now as of the 13th, I’m out. I can’t seem to get my account manager to call me back, so I guess they don’t care about the small business owner… it’s all about the numbers. Anyone else here going through this?Bryan, Accent AV

I wanted to pair a Move with my wife’s Lenovo DESKTOP that runs Win10. I had an old LogiTech USB/BT adapter that I tried, but no joy. Probably just meant for their BT keyboards & mice. To prove out the concept, I DID successfully pair that Move with my MS SurfaceBook, which runs Win10. Now my question: has anyone successfully paired a Move with a DESKTOP PC that runs an external (USB) Bluetooth adapter? If so, what BT adapter did you use (/do you recommend)? Make & model number, please? Thanks. Edd.

Hi folks, I’ve been reading a bit and i’m seeing mixed messages.  Here’s my situation:  I have a current hard-wried 4.1 system in my living room.  My home is an open floor plan with the living room, kitchen, eat-in and formal dining all “open” on the main floor.  I want to add some sonos 1’s around these auxiliary areas to have music spread across the space.  I first tried a Port to my existing AVR, but had sync issues (grossss)….  So now I’m wondering how to solve for my TV/Living area… options I’m considering:2x AMPs with my existing bookshelf speakers & in-ceiling speakers/sub to run a 4.1 setup in the living room If possible, could I replace my existing bookshelves with 5’s and use 1 AMP to power the in-ceilings for a 4.1 setup… (not sure if this would work.) Some other idea?  I don’t like the idea of wasting/not utilizing my built in ceiling speakers… To cut this off at the pass, I can’t / wife won’t do any form of sound bar, so that’s out of the question here. Open to ideas.

Hi everyone,I know this subject has been discussed many times but before to buy a Sonos Port, I’d like to have confirmation of my setup :  Playbar : connected with optical cable to my TV 2x Play:1 are used/synced for Surround 2x Other Play:1 in other roomsIn the end, I would like to use my Sonos Speakers System to listen music from my Audio-Technica AT-LP60XBT turntable (Mandatory : using of Multi-room). I understood that the Sonos AMP and Sonos Port can do the job. Sonos AMP if I’m using 3rd parties speakers and Port if not. Is it correct ? According to you I just need a Sonos Port and connect the RCA cable between my turntable and it.  Thanks in advance.

Hello to all.I’m a happy Sonos user, so far only with three Play:1s and one Sonos one SL.My current system is built as follows: two Play:1s coupled in stereo in the living room and the remaining two speakers in other rooms.It’s been awhile since I would like to get an upgrade for better listening, but I have two “needs”: better music quality in my living room which is quite big (about 40 square meters) and better sound from my TV set.new Arc is far too expensive at the moment Beam would be an option but, question: is it possible two couple it only with my pre-existing stereo pair made by two Play:1 and have the whole system connected to tv by an HDMI-arc connection? What do you think is the effect of this latter option for both general music listening in a large living room and also for use with TV? My other option would be a Sonos Five. This would be perfect for music but only works with tv through a normal jack, as if it was a headphone, sonot the best most probably.Do you guys have
