What to get

I live in a pretty small loft. Like 300 sq. Basically a box. Currently I have a beam (attached to 55” tv) and 2 ‘stereo’ play 1s that are behind the couch. I have great sound in my place. But I want a little more….umf. I’m considering getting a sub. I just need help getting the ultimate setup to be really immersed in sound. I don’t have a lot of funds to drop. But was also looking at the arc, or another pair of play 1s for the front? Any suggestions?

Hi !I have 2 play:1 speakers. I would like to get a vinyl turntable and use those 2 speakers with it. How can I do so?Also I would like to buy a home cinema speaker for small TV like the Beam. Can it be used also with the turntable?

Had one of my SYMFONISK lamps die, Sonos rouble shot over the phone and recommended replacement. So mailed it back to family in the states to return and they were told at the Tampa Ikea that the SYMFONISK lamp was discountinued. they had no more there and couldn’t order it from the store to ship to my families house anymore. Anyone else heard of this? I was able to order one online and had it shipped ot my familys place still. The ikea employee said he thinks its because of issues with them? I have another that is perfectly fine. Hope this new one is not a dud too! 

Hi, does it make sense to have 2 in-ceiling speakers in the kitchen and 2 fives on the sideboard in the living area? I can’t put 2 speakers in the ceiling above the dining room table in the grey box, but I could put in just one on the garden side of the ceiling. Or would two Sonos 1’s on stands high up in the kitchen be better than ceiling speakers? 

Hello!  So I have encountered an issue regarding a recent order from a local retailer here in Riga, Latvia. I ordered SONOS Five from their internet store - https://www.tet.lv/veikals/sonos-five-black.html which appears to really be SONOS Five. It looks the same as the one from the SONOS product page.  They delivered me this product instead - SONOS PLAY:5 (Gen2) (see the pictures attached): Photo 1Photo 2Photo 3Photo 4When I contacted them about this issue, they insisted that it is the same product. Is it really because a simple google search seems to reveal different information? Also they are saying that after contacting SONOS, they have be assured that it is the same speaker.Am I really mixing up two different products here? In regards, Linda

Hi Im new to Sonos and have just purchased a Sonos arc and have a LG OLED tv and I’m thinking about getting two symfonisk speaks to setup as surrounds.  I can’t find out if this will work? Can anyone confirm? Or do I have to get two Sonos sl’s also would the SL’s sound better?   thanks

Hi all,  I’ve got a playbar, sub (gen 2), and two play:1’s as the rear surrounds in my downstairs family room. I have a 3rd party sub (Hsu Research VTF-2) that I haven’t used in ages since I “upgraded” to a sonos system. I’ve since then gotten an arc in my upstairs entertainment area. I’m thinking of either 1) adding the 3rd party sub to the arc, or 2) moving the sub to pair with the arc and adding the 3rd party sub to the playbar/play:1 combo. Anybody with experience doing this? What equipment would I need? Amp? Connect? I had thought about selling the 3rd party sub but figured that I could make use of it in one of the two rooms! Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!

Hi, I am thinking of buying a beam 5.1 surround set (beam, 2x one sl and sub) for my TV and general music. If I set this up to all come on with my tv, can I use a voice command to play music through this without the tv?Then if possible, how difficult is it to play music with the beam off?And how difficult is it to configure the two one sl’s to play loud music rather than background surround sound? Thank you.

A huge leak just came out tonight from the Verge regarding The new Sonos product. If you are interested in the rumored details including images, pricing, specs etc. just search for it and it’s all over. Sucks that it popped early as it’s like being told what you got for Christmas before you are able to open thise special Santa gifts.

I wish to buy a pair of Play:5 gen 2 speakers (white) and am advised that they are best mounted vertically.  However, I seem unable to find a suitable wall mount. I contacted Flexson, who did make one, but it’s been discontinued due to very low demand.  Not having brackets is a showstopper for me. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have a home surround sound system (non-sonos) in my theater room.  I want to tie it into my Sonos eco-system.  I believe the Port and Amp will achieve this.  In the future I want to get an amp for my front and center speakers.  Can I kill 2 birds with one stone with the amp?  If so, is the amp a good choice for my front speakers?

I’m new to the turntable market. Want to purchase a turntable and Five. 1) What is your opinion on the quality difference between the 2 sold thru Sonos... Pro-ject T1 and Debut Carbon Esprit? I realize turntable components can be upgraded. I place a high emphasis on sound quality. Is the DC Esprit that much better or would a couple minor upgrades on the T1 make it comparable? Lots of opinions out there on the Sumiko Rainier vs Ortofon 2M Red  2) Do both come with a built-in preamp?3) Is the non-Sonos Esprit the same thing minus the logo? Can’t image the Sonos logo alone adds $50. Thought I read somewhere the non Sonos version doesn’t have a preamp. 

The audio from my Sonos system of seven years has suddenly started going in and out….I have been recording from a turntable to a reel to reel through a Sonos connect for years with no problems. Line in has always worked through all eight of my speakers. Not sure what the problem is? I noticed that it is also cutting out when playing my music library.  Looking for some advice!  Thank You!

I own 2play:1 and a sound bar. I would like to get a sub woofer. What is compatible and where can I get it?

Hi all. My setup is pretty simple currently and I am wanting to get a bit more omph from it. currently I have an analogue amp and 2 bookshelf speakers which i love and want to ideally keep them part of the system. my setup is for my TV and a vinyl player. I already have a Sonos one which I airplay to and use for Alexa. What I am wanting is to get a second Sonos One and combine that with the other one that I already have and make them rear speakers and my bookshelves be the fronts. my question here is, what would I need to have 2 Sonos Ones and my bookshelf speakers all be part of the system whether I am listening to music or watching TV? Me second question is, will i lose out on anything if I add an Arc or Beam in the future? Will I be restricted to 2 channel if I have analogue inputs, etc? 

HI All, Thinking about getting a Sonos for the first time.  Right now I have a turntable plugged into the auxiliary plug of an old stereo in my living room, so the sound only plays through the stereo speakers.  I want to be able to listen to records in other rooms, but not have to the sound on in the living room.   From what I am reading, I have to buy a port, plug the old stereo into the port and then speakers for the other rooms.  First, am I correct, second would I able to play records in one room, but only be able to listen to it in another room. Thanks in advance.

It says ARC shipping March 26 on the buy now, when will I actually receive it?I'm ready to order it but realistically when would I actually receive it!I'm also ordering the SW Gen 3 and pair of Sonos 1 SL’sthanks 

Hi Folksfurther questions, I’m sorry my room is only 4m x 4m and I currently have a Playbar and 2 play 1swould I see any major benefit in upgrading to an ARC from the existing playbar or is the addition of a sub only to be considered as the other option? 75% of my listening is music, the remainder movies.I’m not conversant with voice control 😥 if I purchased either one (arc or sub) and used voice control would it still enable the play1s as these are not voice controlled?Although my tv does NOT have eARC but it has ARC, by using An ARC playbar are the upfiring 2 speakers in the ARC utilised if I play DD 5.1 or used only in Atmos soundtracks?Thank youMartin
