What to get

I have a new Samsung TV, a pair of Klipsch RP280F Speakers and a new Sonos Connect Amp. I didn't do enough research and assumed multiple inputs that would work on the amp for 2 sources. Source 1: Sonos wifi, Source 2: TV. I like to watch concerts on the TV. Is this not the correct AMP for the speakers and TV combo?

Hi all There is a nice promotion in Italy this weekend of 18% discount on some Sonos, not the one but the play 1. Because it is very old hardware, so you think is still worth buying the Play1 or wait for a promotion on the one and do you think the one is better for the future? By now I am not very interested in smart functionalities, also because Alexa is still not present in Italy. I am afraid that the play 1 will soon lose value compared to the one. Anybody can help? Having surrendered my music room I've just got into Sonos; I started with just the Sonos One until I read on this forum that a pair would give a half-decent stereo performance so I bought another One and paired them up. Still sounded a bit ' thin' to be honest so I went into Richer Sounds ( who were really good to deal with by the way) and after hearing a demo, bought the Sub to add a layer of depth. I am really impressed with the set-up now, it sounds very rich considering the size of the Ones. I didn't purchase the Sub for out-and- out loudness ( don't like loud music tbh) , the Sub does add a subtle depth to the presentation so I'm very happy. The million dollar question is whether, as funds permit, I move the Ones into other rooms around the house and replace them in the living room with a pair of 5's..........

Hey everyone, I’m completely new to Sonos, though I’ve been reading this forum for a while now. I’ve been scouring eBay recently, and have noticed a lot of gen 1 play 5’s for half of what the gen 2 is, some in new condition. I don’t need Alexa(for this area) and I know there would be no warranty, but other than that is there a downside? I would like to purchase two for my living room dining room area (40x17ft). Later on I plan to get a new 5.1 with Alexa for the living room. Thanks in advance Jaclyn

Saw the release on the upcoming new amp that can power 2 sets of speakers. Can it treat them as two zones with separate volume controls or at least the ability to turn the second set off/on?

Hi, I am planning to buy a Sonos Beam. I have two Play:3's, can I use these as surround speakers with the Sonos Beam. I have read you can do this with Sonos 1's, but have heard no mention of using Play:3's Can someone confirm I can use my Play:3's Thanks

Ordered yesterday from Europe shop (12.00 BST). In seconds I received confirmation from Paypal. 24 hrs later there was still no confirmation from Sonos. So, I phoned Sales contact number (Netherlands) - on hold for 15 minutes - then connected to UK agent (???). All this at international phone rates. The agent was able to discover the order and informed me it was in the delivery system. I received a confirnation e-mail from him giving me the actual order number.. I just checked via my account for Orders - There are no orders listed! This purchase was intended as a birthday present for Thursday - I took the Sonos blurb at face value (delivery within 2 working days). So far, this has been a VERY negative experience.

I just purchased a house that had 2 rear Cambridge SoundWorks speakers wired in the family room. There are also 2 pool side speaker wires ran but no speakers connected yet. Both speaker sets come into one centrally located area where the TV is in the family room. I'm thinking of getting either Polk or Bose outdoor speakers. My questions are, if I get a Sonos Soundplay or Beam and a ConnectAMP, can I connect all of the speakers together running Sonos? What about a subwoofer, would I need to get a Sonos sub or could I buy some cheaper one and integrate that as well? Wondering if I need to get a receiver (thinking maybe the Denon Heos) to connect everything then add a Sonos Connect or can I run everything through a ConnectAMP and not need a receiver? Would the Sonos Amp supply enough power for the Klipsch CDT-5800-C II? Would they sound better with a higher wattage amp? Sonos connectivity is very good but will the amp be good enough for the speakers. What do you think? Thanks for your help.

This seems plausible to me, but I haven’t seen any clear confirmation. Does it make sense that a turntable to a pre-amp to a television could play through a Beam? (I understand it might not make acoustic sense, but I’m contemplating buying a beam to replace my old receiver in a smaller room)

Hi .. Im a very new to Sonos and this is gonna be my first Sonos speaker. By goin thru other threads I understand now play 5 gives a better sound clarity than the beam. But however want to know whether play 5 gen 2 will give a better or same sound quality when connected with audio out aux on tv. I really like the play 5 sound clarity and just trying to understand will it not dissapoint me when connected to tv. Or is it better to get the beam and connect with the tv optical digital audio out. The sound will be better and can customize thru the app for good base ? Kindly advise. Thanks. Oh and I want this to my living room. This is a mini size 1 bed room apartment.

Hi I have 4 Proficient R800S Outdoor Speakers that I want to place around my outdoor space and run the speaker wire back into the garage. I have a couple play 1's inside the home already. I want to be able to play music via the Sonos app using the outdoor speakers. Would I need to buy two Sonos Connect:Amps or a Sonos compatible receiver + Sonos Connect? Which is the better system here?

My current system consists of a playbar grouped with 2 play 1s for the TV room, 3 other play 1s in other rooms, a connect Amp, and a gen 1 play 5 and also a Sonos bridge. I am having a whole home wireless network installed. Basically 2-4 access points on PoE back to the router. Do I upgrade the bridge to a boost or just use the new whole home wifi? Thanks

I am the happy owner of a Play:1, that I have in a bathroom. Now I know how good Sonos sound, I want to get a HIFI sound in my living room (4x5 meters). I used to listen soul, R&B, classical (Opera specially) and sometimes pop-rock. I listen to music in low volumes. I have ordered a pair of Play:1, a pair of Play:3 and a Sub to do some test but, I can´t take a decision. I tried following configurations: * 1 Play5 * 2 Play3 * 2 Play1+Sub * 2 Play3+Sub First of all, I tried the Play5. IMPO, it only sounds really good at medium-high volume. This is too loud for me and my neighbours... (I didn´t try the Play 5 + Sub) After that I try the pair of Play3+Sub and the sound was marbelous. Then, I chaged the Sub to be with the Play1 pair and compared the Play3s vs the Play1s+Sub. For me, there is differences but I can´t really said what is the best option. It is difficult to compare the Play3+Sub vs Play1+Sub, because I have to configurate the sistem again if I change th

Can a Boost do the same job as Bridge ??? Lots of skipping issues and need t get it sorted fast !! so considering the Boost. The 120 euros is a small price to pay if I can get reliable tunes tomorrow.

I have a new LG OLED65C8 tv and new LG Play bar SK9Y.......can i use that and my Sonos sub and 2 Play:1s and still get stereo from the system

I'm stuck on what to get next, I just got the beam and I have a sonos one in my room but I don't know if I should hold off on another One and save up for the sub or go ahead and get a One so I can have surrounds. I'm about to shovel out a good bit of money on a nice 55" TV so it's gotta be one or the other. The One is obviously way cheaper and could pair with my existing One for rears but idk if the Sub is worth it for a small bedroom. I haven't heard anything about them making a more economical sub to match the price and power of the beam and I'm hesitant to double what I've spent on Sonos already and veer into overkill territory for about a 300 sq ft bedroom but then again it is where I'll be enjoying almost all of my music, TV, and video games. I'm not worried about too much sound because my room is fairly soundproofed and I'm young, but also keep in mind money-wise I'm a college student. I have a 3 car 1250 sq feet garage. My 3rd stall is deep where I have a play 5. I am debating on adding another play 5 on the other side to create a stereo or should I get a play 3 and a sub. Currently the coverage of my play 5 isn't the best due to my deeper 3rd stall. Open to suggestions.

I'm new to Sonos. I just received and setup my Sonos Beam, Sub and 2x Play 1s yesterday. I have a small / medium apartment. I had been using an old cheap 'home theater in a box' sound system that wasn't very good. I'm not much of an audiophile at all. I just like sounds to sound good to my ears. My use case is all streaming content from my AppleTV to a 43" Sony Bravia. Movies, television and music. After much research, I went with Sonos for it's ease of use and setup. I didn't really need a high end audio system. Or one that had too much power for my living space. The sound is glorious :) I had it setup in about an hour. Tuned, adjusted the Sub down a bit as it's a little boomy in here. Apple Music - I have a wide and eclectic taste in music - I was pleasantly surprised how good it sounds. I have a Beam ordered and I'm going to add to more speakers to it so I'm wondering what's the best way to go. I'm thinking the sound quality of the Play 1 and Play One is so similar that I'm thinking of getting 2 Play 1's because I maybe 3 Alexa enabled devices in the one room is over kill. And because I already have 1 Play 1 and 2 Play One's in the house already so I'll only actually need to purchase 1 more Play 1. Has anyone got any previous experience with Play 1/One's with a Playbar or any opinions on this? I know the Beam is not available yet but so it's kind of difficult to gauge what that will be like.

Ideals for Vacation Rental Owners who have purchased Sonos for their rental property.

I am using the Time Capsule with two AEX WiFi extenders for WiFi needs at home that also serves Dots around the home. Sonos is served via Sonos net, with a Boost and a WD My Cloud NAS wired to the LAN ports of the Time Capsule. This is all working fine, but I may have the opportunity to manage the logistics of replacement and one never knows how much life is left in the 2011 TC. My question is what would be a good modern replacement for the Time Capsule with the following conditions: 1. International voltage range like Sonos kit. 2. Should be available in Best Buy stores in the US. 3. Should work as a drop in replacement for Sonos. 4. Should work as a drop in replacement for WiFi - either with the two AEX extenders at either end of a single floor apartment, or by not needing these. 5. If 4 is not likely, what extenders will have to be bought as well? While I use the Time Capsule for Time Machine back ups, I can easily use a wired to Mac HDD to do this, so this functionality is

Hello there! I am a really happy user with 2 sonos one old generation As you can see in the photo my setup has one Panasonic TV and one Benq 1070 projector. My concern is what setup I should buy for movies and music to get sound from TV (everyday use) and projector (not so frequent use). Hello, I have been thinking about getting a Beam + Sub for my new appartment. Its a 40m^2 living room + kitchen, so I think the sound should be good enough for that size. However, I have heard that soundbars in general are a bit bad at playing music. If I buy two Sonos Ones, will they be able to enrich the music quality, or will the Beam define the sound picture? Note: Of course no one can answer for the Sonos Beam, but if people have experience with Playbar or Playbase, that will solve my problem Wilhelm
